Some Records has given me back the rights to my 2003 album, Upside Down Lacrimosa. We never had a contract regarding digital downloads and they never paid me for any iTunes sales. I just had them remove my album from iTunes and resubmitted it myself through CDBaby. It went back up on iTunes today, so please purchase a song or the whole thing (only $9.99) and I will make some doe. Also, my next album will be available within the next two months.

So they (the publisher) used my painting in this book without asking or crediting me. I had no idea 'till my friend Jamie who got a copy e-mailed me. I called the publisher and they sent me two copies and an unsolicited check for $100 as an apology and payment and promised credit in the next printing. My mom says as soon as I deposit the check that's it. What's the going rate for this sort of thing? Don't get me wrong, I'm totally psyched and don't want to make a fuss but I don't want to get shortchanged either.







And I refuse to go to the trouble of figuring out how to put the symbol/accent thing on his name.
