It's been talked about for years, but it may actually happen this summer. Whoever Shows Up, the band I played with in High School may reunite for one show. You'll hear classic songs like Heart-Shaped Rock, Johnny's Big Day, and Epitaphs... assuming we still remember how to play them. Obviously, if the show goes well enough, we an international tour will follow(no it won't). More details to come in the coming weeks.

As many of you know, there was some recent controversy about how my band's new song Rape Kit was actually about me wanting to rape a certain individual. Obviously I am not a rapist, but I am curious. I challenge you guys to find one of my songs and convince me that it has a hidden meaning. The more evil and/or satanic, the better. Feel free to be serious or funny. The person that wins will receive their very own official Kendall Halman and 7 Book Trilogy "Rape Kit." Which will consist of some cool stuff like a CD of either me or my band, a T-Shirt with original art work by Nick Jeu, and possibly some other stuff. If a band member wins, I'll figure out a different prize. If nobody enters, I win.

So, as many of you know, I just recorded a professional demo. Everybody seems to like it. Thanks to Matt Price for giving me a wicked awesome deal on it by the way. I just want to officially update anybody who actually reads this on some stuff I've got going on. First, anybody who comes to see me play anywhere can have a free copy of the demo. Right now, I'm doing open mics on the following days at the following places: Mondays: Scarlet and Grey Cafe around 10 Tuesdays: Ruby Tuesdays around 11 Wednesdays: Thirsty Ear around ? and Ledos after I'm done at the ear Thursdays: Fat's Bar and Billiards around 9:45 If you plan to attend any of these, it would be a good idea to call me at 614-307-4918 the day of, just to be sure that things are still happening. Also, if you need directions, don't hesitate to call. In addition to my open mics, I'm the featured act Wednesday the 23rd of July at Ledo's. If you only come to one of my performances this summer, let it be this one. I need to show Gary that I have something of a following. On a personal note, I'm steadily working toward paying off my debts and should be moving into my own place in Augyst, so that's exciting. Oh, and I'm planning on doing a full length album eventually with Matt Price, but I'm taking my time on that. Finally, I've got a few side projects in the works, but I'll have more on that later. Please come see me play!

I just finished recording the first drafts of 4 new songs. They still need to be mixed, and one or two may need to have some parts re-recorded. If you’ve seen me play at open mics, you’ll probably recognize "Still Without A Name," and I’ve performed "I look Away" once, but the two part song Reflections has pretty much never been performed (I may have done Reflections II once.) Anyway, Reflections part I(A letter from Mandi paraphrased) is a bluesy guitar feature where I read a fictional letter(based on a real one she wrote) to myself from a certain ex-girlfriend who will remain nameless and transitions into Reflections part II(The Mirror) which is a rebuttle to the letter in the form of a stripped down chord-strumming song like most of my other songs. These songs will hopefully be the foundation for my next album/ep. A few potential titles I have for the album are "There and Back Again: A Musician’s Tale," "Reflections," "From Ohio to California," "Former Street Performer" "From My Parents’ Basement." What do you guys think.

I'm officially the lead singer for Tricky Buoy. We had our first rehersal last night, and will perform for the first time at the Rumba tomorow night. I'm definately excited. In other news, I worked 5 am till 2 today. People kept asking me if I had a big rough weekend. I said my weekend was fine, it was getting up at 4 am that was rough. I'm playing an open mic at Scarlet and Grey tonight. Come see me if you can. 3074918 if you need directions or have any questions.

So I've been doing 4 open mics a week now, and it's starting to pay off. I'm in the talks with two different promoters about maybe getting shows, and I had a band ask me if I would like to try out being their lead singer. So that's good stuff. I'm also working full time now at Panera Bread(kinda sucks, but at least It's an income). Um... I'm very single right now in case any ladies have been waiting in the wings. There was something else, but I forgot... Oh, I've started recording some new stuff, hopefully I'll have at least one new song uploaded in the next week or so. Speaking of which, you guys should download my songs, and if anyone wants to post mystore on their myspace/facebook/etc, let me know and I'll figure out how to do that. Thanks. Oh, come to b-dub's on campus tonight at 9 or vics at 5th and niel tomorow to see me play at open mics.

So it's official, I'm single once again. There is hope for a future friendship with mandi and I, but we are no longer a couple. It kinda sucks, but at least now I can be young for once.

In only a few short days, my MyStore will be open. The first track for sale will be "It Doesn't Have A Name Yet," but hopefully many more tracks will be available shortly afterwards. I know that many of you already have this track, but think of it as a donation supporting my music. Check back in a few days!
