"This edition of
our series features some amazing artists. Several of the artists have
full length releases with us already or plans to have one very soon. Of
special note is the exclusive 17-min Voice of Eye track contributed to
this volume. We are so happy to be graced with Voice of Eye's presence
in their return to recording after almost 15 years of hiatus. Another
"comeback" to the compilation is Giligadi. 17 years ago we released
"Fissures in the Faithful" as a cassette. Giligadi and Auricular will
be presenting a remastered version of that original release soon as
well as a new full length release by Giligadi. We also share with you
two other new Auricular family members, Andrez Bergen (Japan) and
composer Barry Dillon (Ireland). Drew Dobbs a veteran of Big City
Orchestre and Auricular Audio Magazines past returns as well with a new
piece recorded specifically for Auricular and plans for a full length
CD in the near future.
From around the globe we are also proud
to include Thunderwheel - the new project of Vadim Gusis formerly
working under the name Chaos as Shelter. Some exciting news is the
included piece by composer Eldad Tsabary, In Memorium Karlheinz
Stockhausen, is a finalist in the contest Miniaturas Electroacusticas
2008. Argentinian electric guitar noise texturists UL, featuring Alan
Courtis, join us from Argentina. rounding out the compilation we have
techno explorations of Novachild, experimental soundscapes of Pythagora
from Sweden and some marvelous glitch-noise constructions from Bureau
of Nonstandards."
