Current mood: artistic
Well today in church we read over Song of Solomon and SOS 8:7. It says Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot wash it away. If one were to give all the wealth of his house for love, it would be utterly scorned. Well when we read this i got to thinking and i knew i had heard this in a song at some point in time. So earlier i went looking in my iTunes library to try and find the song; when i came upon Many Waters by Haste the Day which the lyrics are simply: Many waters Cannot quench love Many Floods Cannot drown it so now im going to find other things like this and am going to post them woot.
ok i got another one i just found it is Salmarnir by Underoath. when you listen to the song it is in russian but here are the verses PSALM 50:1-6
The Lord God, the Mighty One Calls the earth from east to west.
God from Zion does shine forth; Perfected in beauty he.
Our God comes, no silence keeps, Fire before him, tempests 'round.
He calls out to heav'n and earth, So that he may judge his own:
"Bring to me my faithful ones, Who made covenant with me through their sacrifice!"
The heav'ns call God just, for he is judge!
BOOM!! im on a role here this one is Golgotha by With Blood Comes Cleansing
This is the place of the skull where terror reigned. A crucifixion of agony and pain. A crown of thorns pierced his skin. Bound by our wages of sin. Mercy so undeserved. We cursed our God. While he suffered. The skies grow dark and the earth shakes and for a second your heart breaks. Eloi eloi lama sabacthani. Our souls lie in Golgotha. Prophecy fulfilled in Golgotha. Mark 15:34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?"—which means, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"
