In my head, Jesh was my friend of always. It likes the music rap and the popular music like me. Also, it adores LAURA like me. It was jealous because I had Weeds in CALIFORNIA. But, in November, he will visit me in SANTA CRUZ. Then, I will give Weeds to Jesh and LAURA. Therefore, Jesh will have more love for me - particularly after it will eat good food and will look at the emission of 2gether. Finally, I èspere that it will have a sexual eruption as soon as it reads this blog. End.

Rules:
1) List 20-ish things that you want to say to people, but never will.
2) Don't say who they are.
3) Never discuss it again.
OKAY. So I'm changing it to questions. I'm curious to see how many people can guess the questions I'm asking them.
1. Did you fuck her and then tell me I was way off thinking she flirts with you?
2. You told me you would never be happy. Are you happy now?
3. Do you still want to be a woman?
4. Do you really think I'm a whore?
5. Did you know that I used to tell people you looked like a horse?
6. Have you fallen out of love with me yet?
7. Are you determined to destroy every relationship I'm in for the rest of our lives?
8. Will you ever admit to hitting her?
9. Did you ever honestly want to have an abortion?
10. Was the sex everything you expected and waited so long for?
11. How many times will flipping my reality will it take to satisfy you?
12. Do you honestly see a future for us together?
13. How many times have you read through my logged in MySpace and LiveJournal?
14. Was the sex everything YOU expected and dreamed of for so long?
15. Are you afraid of falling in love with me?
16. Did you enjoy belittling me as much as possible?
17. Why won't you enjoy any of my cooking?
18. How much faith do you have in me?
19. He really IS your favorite child, huh?
20. Are you going to cheat on me when I'm in DC?

So I was thinking. (Uh-oh. Head for the hills.)
I live in Santa Cruz now and everything here is about Local. Local produce, local pride, support for locals. I like that because I like supporting the small guy (not that you could tell from my employment at Borders), but I really love that feeling. It seems like it's made with more love, more emphasis.
I wonder about when I move to the City (and to Chi-town) how much of the "local" atmosphere I'll be able to find.
Living in big cities, you're basically sharing everything you love with everyone who comes through. You have that same issue here in the Cruz, too, but it's on a much larger scale in big cities.
San Francisco is more of a region that a city to itself. Many of the people there are transplants and while they take pride in where they're from, I don't get the feeling that they're too attached to it. I dunno.
There are places to scope out and hang that are not big named places (i.e. avoid Union Square like the plague), but will I still get that community feeling like I get when I go to New Leaf? Most of the people there know me by face, if not by name (or whatever chosen nickname they've come up with) and I love that. I love being recognized and having a real bond with the people I interact with in the world.
I think that's why I enjoy working retail so much is because of all of the customer intereaction. For every bad customer, there are usually 2-3 good customers to make up for their shitty attitude. I love talking to people, learning with them, and connecting.
I'm just scared that I won't have that in whatever town I end up in. Hopefully it won't be a problem.
Meh. I'll figure it out. -Allison

Soooo I'm taking a trip to D.C. this summer for a journalism program through UCLA and it just dawned on me that I'm going to be that person that people bring up when they talk about 'knowing someone at UCSC'. I'm going to be whatever they use to perpetuate whatever stereotypes they hear about this school, and I guess that's cool?
I'm vegan, a feminist, and an ally; I don't wear shoes and I rarely brush my hair. I think bathing is overrated on a daily basis and I recycle everything. I like to hug trees and my grey cats. I burn incense, don't wear fur, and eat cafeteria food off of the tray... not the plate.
Oh yeah, I'm anti-war.
Nice.
Anywho. Just an observation I made. I hope I make friends while I'm there cos if not it's going to be a miserable trip. People are chill. I'll just be me, and hopefully they'll just be them, and we'll all have a dandy time. 29 people in the D.C. journalism program and I'm one of them. Yay that. I leave in one month and four days. Holyfuckingfuck.

Sooooo I think I'm going to move to Chicago for a year after I graduate to spin with Independence Winter Guard in Tinley Park.
I really like their shows and they may or may not be a world guard by then. Either way, they're cool and I need a change of scenery, something to make me miss California and stop taking this beautiful place for granted.
But yeah, so what do you think about moving to Chi-town?

Uuuuuuugh.
Life is silly. I'm silly, and therefore everything surrounding me is silly and out of line.
I'm pissed off at the world and everything in it, but for no real reason. I feel uncomfortable in my own skin.
Well. Now certain people know things about me more than they did before. Maybe if you got a livejournal, you'd leave me. Haha.
There are many things to be thankful for in the world. Words are one of them. Chai is another. I have words and I have chai. Very nice. High five.
Uuuuugh.
School = not cool.

so. myspace. i used to be really involved and even had the stereotypical scenester page (by carefully planned design, of course). i'm kind of over it as the 'Space is pwning my life. i do not enjoy being pwn'd by the interbot. i deleted 400 myspace friends the other day; jesus was that invigorating.
enough with the crazytalk. i'm pretty insane; my diction tends to venture in the realm of condescending, but k-fed likes condensation (haha) so that works.
i work in a corporate bookstore, but sell CDs. apparently my half-completed BA in literature is irrelevant in context to my likes. i like music. mostly all kinds, even POP. ohmygod, how awful. i'm pretty into pop-culture and am generally informed on the status of it. i own lots and lots of books, but lack the time to read them. that's a big goal.
another big goal is peace through action. after i graduate from ucsc, i'm moving to the City (THE City, you fools, san francisco. ya heard?) and working towards getting an associate's in journalism. while i do that, i'm gonna dance, and sculpt, and read, and write, and protest wars. not just wars, i suppose, but basically anything unjust. (apparently, i'm against paragraphs at the moment. they're so confining.) i'm a journalist, but along with that, i want to teach. i want to encourage young people to take action and ask fucking questions. god knows that this government isn't going to give it to them straight. another goal: changing journalism. it's so corrupt, the way the news is given! ridiculous.
i am quite crafty (as well as sporadic) and tend to just start making things on a whim. i'm big on expressing inspiration immediately. i'm vegan and love my grey cats. they're very grey, as is everything else that i love. i'm probably one of the most hopeful pessimist you will ever meet, and i'm pretty annoying. i say what is on my mind, often times not thinking first, but i dunno, i guess i'm pretty good at bullshitting my way out of situations.
okay. i can't handle the lack of paragraphs. i've got to go split them. mission completa!
usually within five minutes (or the first day of knowing me) you will hear some or all of these facts about my life: i used to have an eating disorder, i did colorguard in high school, my dad had cancer, my mom used to try to kill herself a lot, i think too much while high, i bit my tongue off when i was three, i have two brothers named matt, my chaser is water, and sex is not as emotional to me as it is to everyone else. you will also probably see my tattoos (where i will comment about how fat my gut is and how i cried when i got sunflower sutra tattooed on my ribcage).
i really like to bake and one day hope to give up on life and go to vegan culinary school. i want to own a vegan restaurant where i can cook for people all the time and not EAT everything.
anyway. intro to allison. if you're still interested, you're pretty intense. holla!
