Two of Australia’s finest rock acts unite for the first time for ten very special shows
Shannon Noll and The Screaming Jets met by chance at gig in Southern
Queensland and over a bunch of beers, came up with the idea that it
would be great to tour together some day! That day has now arrived as
the two acts hit the road together in October, for what is sure to be
Spring’s most electric rock double-bill – the Dirty Rockin’ Scoundrels
Tour.
Noll, currently in the midst of his intimate, acoustic In The Raw run
of dates, is itching to get out there and play a blinder of a rock set.
“Acoustic shows are fabulous, you get to create different versions of
songs, but blasting out hard with a full band, electric set is what I
really love doing. It reminds me of being in bands as a teenager, with
my brothers, when we just went for it in every live show we did. I am a
massive fan of the Jets and I can’t wait to hit the road with them.
This is going to be a show that people talk about for a long time, we
can guarantee you that!”.
For twenty years, The Screaming Jets have rocked Aussie stages with the
best of them, gathering up a fiercely passionate bunch of fans along
the way. For Dave, Paul, Izzy, Mickl and Scotty, playing with Shannon
and his band is an exciting prospect. Gleeson says, “I hear Shannon
really rips into his live set and we can’t wait to get out on the road
with him and the band. Every night both bands will be trying to
out-rock each other. I reckon punters at these shows are going to get
great value for money and the Jets - we’re rockin’ as hard as we ever
have.”
The Dirty Rockin’ Scoundrels Tour kicks off in Penrith on 7th October,
with a further four NSW shows rolling out from there, including a visit
to The Screaming Jets’ hometown of Newcastle on Friday 9th October,
where The Jets will headline what’s sure to be one hell of a memorable
gig! The tour then winds down to Melbourne from 14th October, where the
two bands will hit the suburbs for five shows, concluding in Doncaster
on 18th October.

SINGER RETURNS
HOME AFTER SOLD OUT WAR OF THE WORLDS UK TOUR FOR
NATIONAL
IN THE RAW, “IN CONVERSATION & ACOUSTIC” TOUR
Following 18 sold out arena
shows playing Parson Nathaniel in Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version of
War of the Worlds, Shannon Noll is back home and offering a double
bonus to the fans who have helped him grow from his humble beginnings
to his just-as-humble stardom.
Due to overwhelming requests, fans will get an opportunity to see him
perform his intimate acoustic In The Raw show, which he
is taking nationally after it won rave reviews in April from critics
and public alike. The show’s personal setting allows fans to direct
questions to Shannon via media personality host Nick Bennett in a special
Q&A session between sets, which include not only his greatest hits,
but also covers of some of his favourite songs.
Along with the tour, Shannon is also launching his first official
fan club, SNFC, where he will share his life as an international
star with the people who got him there.
Fan club members will get access to “all things Shannon” including
never before released behind-the-scenes videos and pictures, contests,
special meet and greets, access to tickets before they go on sale to
the general public and other items not available anywhere but the
SNFC.
All members will also receive an exclusive limited edition t-shirt,
personal gold or platinum membership card and a free copy of Shannon’s
next album, which will be released next year.
“Touring in The War of The Worlds was a great experience but made
me realise how much I miss my fans. and I want to speak to my fans directly”,
says Shannon. “They are the reason I’ve got where I am and
now I can give back a little something extra-special by sharing my life
with them.
“They’ll get a glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes and, most
importantly I’ll be able to hear from them direct, and learn what
they want to see and hear.”
SNFC will run a range of competitions, weekly, monthly, annually
and randomly, with prizes from signed one-off memorabilia to the chance
to help choose the music for his next album.
The fan club will officially launch in August, but fans can sign up
now and start enjoying the benefits of membership, register for prizes,
share Shannon’s thoughts and watch a sample of the behind the scenes
video footage that only members will have access to.
When the site launches in August, video footage will feature a life
in the day of Shannon backstage at War of the Worlds as well as sightseeing
in London with his family.

Shannon Noll is offering his die-hard fans the chance to see him perform at a number of intimate shows around the world - and around the outback.
These would be truly exclusive 'one-off' events at select private venues, with the opportunity to not only request songs for the set but also meet Shannon himself.
The locations would be dependent on demand, so you get to decide where he plays! To express your interest please register at Owngig.com to make a bid.
Owngig.com is a new concept in touring, enabling fans to come together to fund a show of their choice. Once you have registered at the site please only state what you would really be prepared to pay for such an event as well as how far you might be willing to travel to see Shannon.
We will then contact you at your registered email address when the venue, date and price have been set and offer you the first option to purchase tickets. Because only a limited number of tickets will be issued they will only be available to fans directly from the site. So start bidding and hopefully he’ll be coming to a venue near you soon!

Due to the fabulous response received for his In The Raw, “In Conversation & Acoustic” tour over the last few months, Shannon Noll is pleased to announce the tour will roll out nationally through the second half of 2009.
Fans have enthusiastically embraced the intimate, two hour show, which is composed of three parts – an initial set of acoustic covers handpicked by Shannon, a question and answer session on stage with host Nick Bennett, which allows fans to throw questions at Shannon for his response, and a final set featuring acoustic variations of Shannon’s much-loved hits plus songs from his repertoire that are his own personal favourites.
In The Raw, “In Conversation & Acoustic” has toured through NSW over the past eight weeks, prompting rave reviews from all who have attended.
"It was a fantastic night, had a great time and a great laugh seeing Shannon at The Cube Convention and Entertainment Centre”.
“All and all was an awesome night … I recommend everyone to go out and see IN THE RAW".
"Just got home from IN THE RAW at The Cube. It was fantastic”.
"If anybody can get a chance to go along and see Shannon at his IN THE RAW concerts… make sure you do … he is absolutely brilliant. He is at his absolute best”.
"Shannon was absolutely BRILLIANT. It's so good to hear every word he sings … Certainly was heaven last night".
Shannon is on his way to London on 18th May to promote the release of his singles SHINE and NOW I RUN and the album WHAT MATTERS THE MOST in the UK. He then takes part in 18 arena shows as he reprises the role of Parson Nathaniel in The War Of The Worlds across the UK and Europe. Upon his return, he looks forward to taking In The Raw around the country, giving fans everywhere the opportunity to get up close and personal!

SINGLE DOWNLOAD ‘SHINE’ OUT 27 APRIL 2009
Shannon Noll, Australia’s ‘leading male artist’, is set to take his music global, with the release of ‘What Matters The Most’ his debut UK album, released by RCA on 4 May. His soaring rock track ’Shine’ is the single release out on 27 April.
Shannon Noll burst onto the Australian music scene just five years ago and has never looked back. He has forged a career that has re-written Australian chart history; a career born of necessity after personal tragedy. With the resounding chorus of his first UK single ‘Shine’ firmly ringing in his ears, proclaiming ‘this is the time, the day that we’ve been waiting for’, Shannon Noll is now ready to take the UK by storm.
A last-minute entrant to the competition, in 2003, he wowed judges and the entire nation to come runner up in the first ever Australian Idol. In the short five years since then, Shannon Noll has achieved a record-breaking 10 consecutive top 10 singles including 5 Number One’s, his songs have become official sports anthems not only in Australia but also in the UK (Cricket on Channel 5) and the US, and the combined success of his album sales in Australia has given Shannon platinum selling status 11 times over. Not bad for a farmer’s son from Condobolin, Australia!
‘What Matters The Most’ is 12 tracks of genuine, uplifting and honest music with heart and soul. From opener ‘Shine’ with its call to action - ‘Get up, get up, and lift your head’ - to the rabble rousing ‘Loud’, which pointedly asks the listener, ‘Who would ever believe that this could happen to me?’ the songs are a reflection on the last five years going from near destitution to the top of the charts. The heartfelt ballad ‘Now I Run’, is particularly poignant, inspired by the tragic death of his father, which spurred Shannon to join Idol. The album displays the full repertoire of Shannon’s skills, demonstrating exactly why he is one of Australia’s biggest selling artists, and already considered an icon in his home country.
Shannon is not without famous fans either; Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora co-wrote and played on the album track ‘Sorry Is Just Too Late’. About working with Shannon, Richie commented, ‘Shannon is a rock and roll steed… a classic voice with a contemporary flair. We had a great time working together.’ Shannon also received the help of a certain Mr Bryan Adams, who co-wrote the song ‘Drive’ and later invited Shannon out on tour with him as main support.
His duet with Natalie Bassingthwaite (Rogue Traders), of the Kate Bush / Peter Gabriel classic ‘Don’t Give Up’ echoes the entire sentiment of the album and compliments the 11 other songs that make up ‘What Matters The Most’.
To celebrate the release of his album, Shannon will be playing a one-off show at the 02 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on Friday 8 May, and will be hitting the stage in June with a role in the UK arena tour of Jeff Wayne’s The Musical Version of The War Of The Worlds, opposite Jennifer Ellison.
