Looner on the road is Angel, Zoë, Damon, Paula and Ruby. We packed up the truck, trailer and a rooftop bag this morning and left Los Angeles burning in an oppressive heat wave. With orchards and vineyards on either side of us we push up the 5 towards our first stop at our friend, Mike's house in Sonoma, CA. Avian Recording Company did an amazing job booking us this 6 week tour that will take us through many of the college towns and cities that are playing our single, "I Love My Tamagotchee!" We will even be visiting and calling various radio stations to announce our shows and chit-chat with DJs. Angel is especially excited about our interview with Jerry Bryant for JBTV, a show he grew up watching in Chicago. Half of the shows will be all-ages; teen centers, pizza parlors and even a hair salon (Phoenix Cuts in Scranton, PA) where we are all gonna get fresh new 'dos after soundcheck! We printed up a "best of" download card called, "13". (digstation.com) After carefully choosing these 13 songs to represent us we thoroughly rehearsed them and I think they sound better than ever! I am really hot on playing "Apple" which is the first song from our first EP, "Follow The Looner" and this will be our first time playing it live. The addition of Damon on keys is filling up our sound and enabling us to play so many of our older songs that we never could before. Angel is still making dope loops, but now instead of just me on bass, and Angel on a little cocktail drum kit playing along, Damon comes in with monster piano/strings and Angel is finally able to unleash on his full drum kit. I think I have turned up the heat on my bass as well. Damon is a great addition as a musician and a friend. Not only are his musical sensibilities right in step with ours, he keeps us laughing with his ability to find the hilarious in the mundane. Paula is our tour manager/merch specialist and she will be making sure I keep the stage style high and glamorous. Her personal style is finely tuned and her personal outlook is sunny and bright and we are so happy and lucky to have her along on this trip. Ruby is curled up between Damon and Paula exhausted from the stress of watching us pack for the past three days, uncertian of whether or not she would be coming with us or left with either my Mom or the neighbor downstairs. Angel and I have done this criss-cross-country thing many times already but I feel most confident for this one! Last night we had a farewell dinner with friends and family and I could feel the genuine support from everyone as we passed our tour book around the table. Don't worry, Nicole, I got your text and will set aside two new Looner shirts for you. :) Zoë

Memorial Day Release of New Looner Single

Label Launch to Coincide with Release

Los Angeles, CA (May 1, 2009) – When millions of Americans return to work on Tuesday, May 26th, lamenting the end of the holiday weekend, they can take solace in the release of the addictive new single from Looner “I Love My Tamagotchee!” (based on the wave of obsession the world saw from the Japanese “Tamagotchi” toy) and accompanying video from their new label Avian Recording Company. The single, as well as a full-length version of the video, will be available on iTunes.

About Looner:
Many words have been used to describe this multitasking musical-duo. Among them:

May 1st, 2009 will mark the launch of the Avian Recording Company, a new approach to the olden label model.
