Hello Everyone, So I must say, I truly neglect myspace due to the fact that I'm not online much as we're either in the studio, rehearsing, and once again touring. Also, If you don't know Facebook has definately been a great tool for not just our band, but for me to stay in touch with friends conveniently!!! Eitherway, I'm writing because I care about all our amazing friends on myspace and how I wish I could write much more everyday... So please keep in touch with Me & My Brotha's(Josh too) at www.Facebook.com/Safehavenrock, www.Myspace.com/SafeHaven ofcourse(I usually post Mobile Photos wherever we may be & Updates" and www.Twitter.com/Safehavenrock which Gil & I usually Txt Updates & Photos! Okay, So what I've been up to lately is just a lot of studio which has been a dream come true to be in their everyday! The album is just about about done and ready for mixing/mastering. I got some wicked guitar solo's and I was able to sing some very high range vocal part believe it or not, We had tons of fun putting different voices & harmonies in some songs. What I love about life and music the most is the spontaneous improvised inspired unbelievable moments where times seems disappear and for a second the world stands still for all us... And then, Life is created, Love is made, and Fear is diminished. There were moments where I remember Gil singing lyrics that came into his mind and heart at the moment he was re-writing a certain bridge and it scared you for a second knowing this was a moment none of us expected! It's a gift no doubt from God. I spent a long time shredding solo after solo when I guess all need to do was find good rest and a good vibe to lay it all down. I didn't need to write the best riff or try any harder, I just need to be the guitar played I've always been and simply play my heart out. I'm proud with them and most of all I have fond memories of digging deep in my soul and memories as I played them with all my heart. So we're heading on Tour this week to El Paso, TX and I can't say it enough... I can't to drive away and feel the open road again. It's been about Six months since we've toured anywhere and about eight months since we've played locally in California. So you can imagine all the energy, joy, and love buildin gup through these months of writing and recording. I cannot wait to see all our friends and families on the road this year. You have to come see us and say hello! We miss you :) Oh if you don't know, We are playing our first hometown show in California August 29th at The Glasshouse! Be there, New Songs & New Merch!!! Rock the Ol' SH t-shirts!!! "Blue Cruiser" So I took a Bike Ride proudly on my sister Vicky's Baby Blue Beach Cruiser and I had to leave the confusion inside my head and just leave my thoughts. So I rode that Bike all over the City of La Mirada and the cold creeze just kept me pedaling for a few hours until I found the place I once knew when I was about Eighteen returning home from our three-month tour. A lot changes when your gone and some moments you wish you would live are sacrificed. I met an Elderly woman who taught the meaning of purpose and determination. In a few words she instilled in me the words that touched me and helped me value what I thought was a lost cause. The Phrase "Don't Let It Go" was inspired by her voice speaking to my weary yearning heart that day at La Mirada Park. She allowed me to see the path ahead of me and the decision I already knew I had to take, Sometimes life truly plays with our emotions & beliefs. One thing I've learned is that from what I know in my brief almost twenty-two years of life(Yes, my birthday is coming up!) We can't let go of all that truly makes up the best part of us, I believe God instilled his greatness in each of us and to cherish that gift gives life to our soul and brings a glorious smile to the creators face. So with so much anguish I leave behind, a broken heart I pray that mends, and worry I lay down I know that life is meant to be lived happily. It's a series reminders and things we forget, but sometimes all we need to know is that nothing that comes our way could ever come between the dream, the love, and the certainty that our lives counted, valued, and meant for all the greatest discoveries that await to give life within. Let love reign over your family & friends, Let Hope drive your patience, and Let your dreams take to places that we could never imagined we could do & see. "Don't let it go, Just keep believing... It's always way to soon to quit & give up" -Mani Sandoval & The Safe Haven Brotha's!

Hello :) Time has lasped so long, I can't believe about six months have aged our once weary faces and awaiting souls. "Setting Up and Tearing Down" second year of having been released passed us by so fast and with so much though behind what we dreamed to happen, I can only say we surpassed most of what our young minds could envision.
Lately, Gil's has been tracking his vocals in the studio and watching him I've learned quite a lot that sometimes I tend to miss. There are many of times when we're forced to endure life's unfair results, disapointments, and sorrows. It's one that I can dwell on for years, but the truth about music is that it can be the release that sometimes we overlook.
When I hear the sounds, emotions, and everything that Gil releases as he writes his story through these recordings, it's like my own sorrows, heartaches, and regrets are seen and as they are sung into my own heart I begin to see life grow within the broken ground that once flourished.
Life is definately a beautiful garden, but sometimes our color, life, and joy withers underneath the sun. I've learned through making this record that life is a process of growth, tension, and release.
Though we lack never seize to create Love, Music, Art, and everything that we possess that surpass's all that has gone and have now been redeemed.
Much Love Always, -Mani & The SH Boys

Hi Guys! It's been so long since we've written much of anything on our blogs. We are all doing very well! We've been able to adapt to the heat and the desert life. It's really made a huge difference in our personal lives aswell as in our band. The song's we've written, the song's we've recorded, and the stories we've lived have been the one's that have only made us stronger, grateful, and that have given us new perspective.
We think about California, touring, the road, and all our friends we miss all over this world quite often. I can say we are very excited about what this New Album will do, how we'll feel, and everything that comes from putting out a new album.
I'm proud, I'm humbled, and I'm always searching for the reasons I've found are more simple that we could have ever known.
Since the day we began until the day we're finished, It's always been about following the Call and doing what we knew was right.
We Thank You whole heartedly for the words you write us with memories of a band you believed in and continue to love. It's Amazing to see Safe Haven growing so much here in Arizona... It's becoming a second home here and I know that these moments we share and the one's we miss quite often only strengthen our reunions.
So with that said, The New Safe Haven Album Drops Fall of '09.
Please help us spread the word like never before everywhere you go!!!
We Love You all very much! -Safe Haven

You may have heard rumors about what we’ve been up to out here in Arizona, and we feel it’s time to give some answers. First of all, It's Official Safe Haven has Signed a Pretty Amazing Deal with a Label. The ink isn’t completely dry yet so we’ll hold off on most of the details but we’ll say this, we will be able to maintain our integrity, independence and passions. The Label is of like-minded spirit and will actually be donating $5 of every album we sell to local, regional and global relief efforts. It’s really everything we’ve ever hoped for; making music and changing the world. We promise we’ll have more details soon. The Label Built a Private Studio for Us in an Amazing Antique Brick Style Warehouse in Downtown Chandler, Arizona. Tomorrow is day one in the studio with Zach Lind of Jimmy Eat World, overseeing Dan's drums, alongside our Producer & Engineer Brian Whitman of Audio Adrenaline/Columbia/Sony. To be in the Studio with these Guys is absolutely mind-boggling, Jimmy Eat World has been one of our Musical Hero’s for a Long Time and Brian Whitman has been Great to work with in Pre-Production. Many Labels will try to rush the creative process with endless deadlines and constant pressure to produce. Our label has blessed us with a studio built with us completely in mind and have been told to take as much time as we need. It’s amazing to see how God has led us on an incredible journey for this moment. It's Time to make it happen! Much Love & Gratitude, SAFE HAVEN

*A Personal Blog I Wrote During Our Day's Back Home in La Mirada for the Weekend and I really Believe Many of You may Relate To with your Dreams... Thanks, -Mani
As I was packing my bags for the trip back to Arizona Tomorrow I decided to do a little Historical Cleaning where I tend to spend an Hour just reading saved item's such as Old SH Show Ticket Stubs,Tour Flyers, Plane Tickets, Mailed Letters, Yearbooks, and I stared at so many photo's wondering where all this came from. Why I Dyed My Long Hair Red My Senior Year, Trying to understand what I was trying to Say in an Old Tour Journal of '05, and Rediscovering the Scenes of my Youth-Filled Memories as a Band who would Rehearsed So Hard in this La Mirada Garage! It's just hard to believe what we were thinking and where we were going! I also found My First Electric Guitar(it Saved My Life)
I found something very special as I began to Unlock the Letters, Photo's, and Memories of my past.
"Learning to Read & Write" Mrs. Slowik was the First White Canadian Woman I had ever known existed at the age of Six Years old Living at 46th and Broadway in South Central, Los Angeles where I grew up in a prodimently Black & Hispanic Community.
It's Funny to Think, But If it wasn't for Mrs. Slowik I would have never been able to Read the Most Amazing Literature in my life and Let Alone write this blog. I would not be able reply to the earnest letters we recieve or write down the words that bring peace to a lamentful heart like mine. She Realized that I could not Read or Write in her Class and Instead of the Obvious Protocol I had seen many friends endure of Holding a Student Back a Year, She took it on herself to teach me personally to Read & Write during the Summer. She passed Me Anyways and Did not Hold Me Back a Year Believing that Hoceas Emanuel Sandoval would Learn to Read & Write Surely that Summer(Lot's of faith... I'm a Slow Learner) before I went on to the Next Grade and I DID!
She was indeed a Loving and Caring Woman who believed in the Kid's who most would think would grow up to be not much in a place like the one we lived in where we could not control the Drugs, Violence, and Economical Circustmances that would await us outside the fences that protected us everyday we'd walk home from School.
I never realized How Important that Moment really was in my life until Now. Sometime's people give up on us, Sometime's we give up on ourselves, and Sometime's we think God has given up on us...
I'm embarrased at times to write so much thought because my age does not permit me to be of such sage as other Wise Men/Woman through time that have seen/known much more first hand. Am I what you would call a Contemplative Writer... I write what I See, Feel, and Believe... I give everything Meaning and Thought because I believe it exists for a reason as I would hope.
Mrs. Slowik taught me a lot about Grace, Hope, and Love. I never found much interest or potential in myself until someone believed in me. Looking through the buried past I left behind years ago, I sometime's feel regret, uncertainty, and some remorse for myself... Though I struggle to Hold true to my own integrity, beliefs, and dreams... I can only think of one thing when I feel life is unfair.
We are Bigger than We Think and Better than We Know!
Our History & the Meaning Behind the Most Wonderful/Hurtful Intimate Moment's We've Encountered Cannot be Altered or Re-lived Now. I Do Believe in the Future that Honor's Yesterday and Lives for Today just as Mrs. Slowik Believed in Me then. I may not possess the answers to life's predicament's and questions, but all that I need I do carry with me.
Two Feet that Walk, Two Eye's that See, and One Heart that Believes!
-Mani Sandoval

It Feel's Good to Write Again Today! With so much in mind to say and so much to do, I want to script out what's happening in our world lately for all of our constant supportive readers.
Let's Start! We performed "It's Time To Live Again" on Easter at The Grove Church and it was an amazing experience to have been able to perform let alone participate with our own original song. The Response was excellent and it gave us the sensation that everyday matters. Everything we do matters and that it indeed has value!
We are Done with the Writing Process which was a Two-Month Departure from Home & Everything We've known as Constant in Motion as we usually are. It was Good to Stop and Hear the Sounds that Echo Deeply inside our Souls. To have had the time to Write, Listen, and Work on our Music was the biggest determining Factor I know will make this Album our Best Yet!
With that in Mind! The Final Recording Process is Up Next and like many of you, this is the part we are most eager to do. It's Time to Put all our Stories and Voice on Tape! We will do all that we can to keep you posted via Photo Journals, Interviews, Blogs, and Videos! Expect Nothing, But the Best Safe Haven Yet to Come!
It's Beautiful and Humbling to see where we're standing today and How it looked Yesterday. When I look at all the struggles and the obstacles we face, I can only think... Keep Running, Keep Walking, and Keep Holding On.
This New Record comes from a Deeper Sincere Place, but it also resonate's the emerging sound of soul's learning to let go, live again, and shine like the stars that we are.
Don't Let It Go, Just Keep Believing. Much Love, -Mani Sandoval, Gil Sandoval, Dan Sandoval, and Josh Ledezma.

Hey Guys!
All is well in a beautiful Southern California Evening as we spend one last night with family as we continue our Journey of making the best Safe Haven Album to Date in Chandler, Arizona.
I've had a blast personally visiting old friends such as Ian Miller(Friend/Producer) which many of you may know worked with us on "Setting Up & Tearing Down". We've been able to see old friends and new one's come along through the few shows we continue to play as we test these new tunes in the water. It's come froma deep place of heartache, but also strength from a place we knew we never had. Life is about defeating the fear and believing when no one else does.
************** Today we were scheduled to Fly to Queensland, Australia for our Debut Performance at EasterFest in Toowoomba, Queensland Australia being Featured on the same stage that artist's such as Mxpx & Project 86 have done before us.
In a sudden decision we made a month ago, We decided that Safe Haven would not be coming to Australia this April and had contacted EasterFest's Artist Relations concerning our retraction for a performance this year. It was a difficult opportunity to let go of two week's of touring down the Australian Coast and being featured in one of Australia's Hottest Festival.
Month's have gone & Week's have passed. We've come so close to the next Vital Stage of any Album. A majority of the compositions have been written, recorded, and performed on Live Audiences & other Industry Professionals. The time has come where we must pull together for the Final Main Recording Session's where we need the dedicated time and focus to Produce the best material we have ever done thus far.
We Believe that this Album in it's entirety will bless not just ourselves, but benefit other's around the World who are depending on Us. Something Big is Happening and in a larger sense a dream put on hold will suffice the sacrifice it took to get there. It's hard for many to understand, but truly the Brave will surely find what they are looking for. We apologize to all the Australian people and we are in Good Standing with the EasterFest Family. We Thank Dave Schneck & Rowan Brand for their strong support to have Safe Haven at EasterFest '09!
Hardships and Difficult Decisions have helped us grow together and create a strong thread of Hope that our faith will be rewarded!
Thank You to all of you for your support, love, and faith in us. Much Love & Respect, -Mani Sandoval & The Safe Haven Boys!
