We are pleased to announce that our bassist, SEAN TIBBETTS, has recently come to terms on an endorsement deal with WARWICK basses. He's recently gained worldwide notoriety as the touring bassist for the Tampa-based Metal monsters KAMELOT, as well as for his position as a driving force here with ROYAL ANGUISH. 

Sean will be sporting Warwick amps on Kamelot's upcoming tours as well as a Streamer Stage II and a Thumb Neck-thru, both 4-strings. Warwick is looking forward to a long and prosperous relationship with Sean. Look for Sean to be sporting Warwick gear on the future recordings and live shows all over the planet.

Just as a phoenix will rise from its ashes and cities are rebuilt after catastrophe, ROYAL ANGUISH is also following a similar path of rebirth. After two long and arduous years, we are proud to arise and offer to you THREE advance tracks from our upcoming CD, The Grand Deception.

The songs we bring you are "PLEASE EDUCATE ME", "THY PALE EXISTENCE" (featuring Meri Tadic of ELUVEITIE), and "THE GRAND DECEPTION" (featuring Jasper Pieterson of MORPHIA).

We will continue to work on completion of the remainder of the CD as we continue our quest to procure the appropriate label of release.

ROYAL ANGUISH is pleased to announce another guest that will appear on our upcoming CD, THE GRAND DECEPTION. The musician is none other than MERI TADIC, known for her violin mastery in the Swiss folk metal band ELUVEITIE. She has taken part in the sorrowful track THY PALE EXISTENCE. This collaboration has been a long time in coming and we couldn't be any happier that she's finally able to take part.

As for the CD itself, we are still deep in the throes of the recording process. As is the norm for RA, we've encountered many delays and technical issues, but we're confident that samples of the material will make it to your ears soon.

Expansion of the Kingdom of Asgrim

We would like to inform you that today, April 18th, 2008, our guitarist, Asgrim, has brought forth yet another heir to his family throne, in the form of a boy named Maddox "Mad Dog" Nunn.

We in Royal Anguish would like to congradulate him on the newest addition to his family!

Royal Anguish has released the coverart for their much anticipated upcoming CD, entitled The Grand Deception, which is currently in production:

The artwork was done by Alexandra V. Bach at Ravendusk Designs  (KAMELOT, WYKKED WYTCH, OPERATIKA). Said frontman Matt Knowles: "Alex did a great job in capturing what we were looking for with the cover. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a high quality product from an artist with an 'easy to work with' attitude."

Royal Anguish's "A Journey Through The Shadows of Time" CD and "Tales of Sullen Eyes" EP were released through Fear Dark (Holland) in 2006.

Royal Anguish's bassist, Sean Tibbetts, is currently on tour with KAMELOT through Europe.

We wanted to give everyone an update on the happenings surrounding the ROYAL ANGUISH camp.

First and foremost, the recording process for our upcoming CD The Grand Deception is moving forward full steam. As many of your know, the original production of this CD saw recording start last summer. Unfortunately the recordings were not coming along as anticipated, so we made the decision to blow the whole thing up and start from scratch once we had resolved the issues that had hindered the original sessions.

After reassessing our processes and songwriting, we "restarted" the process in December of 2007 with a new outlook, and we are happy to report that we have a large portion of the process complete. We are deep into the guitar and keyboard tracking and hope to have a few advance / rough versions up on the web for all to hear in the not too distant future. We are much happier with the path the CD has taken and we are very eager to get new tracks out to the masses so that we can officially start the newest chapter of RA’s existence.

The CD currently is slated to have 11 songs (plus an opening). The song titles are as follows:

We also are proud to announce that MORPHIA’s frontman Jasper Pietersen will make a guest appearance on the title track of our CD. Jasper’s a great guy and we couldn’t be any happier finding a way to include him on this project. We have multiple other guest appearances lined up, but we’ll wait until we have the tracking done and in hand before making those official announcements.
