Hello to ALL!  Well, I finally did it!  I got a BLOG!

http://aartiana.wordpress.com

It became difficult to manage my links here at MySpace, and it is still difficult because of the way it works around here - too clunky I guess hehe!

When you get to my home page, you will notice I have divided my subject matters (i.e. Astrology, Flower Essences, Herbalism, Reiki, etc.) across the top, in a row.  This makes the links that I share with everyone SO much easier to find!

I may post periodically here (if I can figure out how to do it in an automated fashion), but it is my hope that many of you already have other methods of receiving your blogs that you read.

Some of you are on Facebook (and I will get a Fan Page and NetworkedBlogs there, so comment here if you need that info), some on LiveJournal, some of you get RSS feeds, or have it added to your Blogroll in Google Reader, Yahoo, or other place you get your news and read your blogs daily.  I hope to bridge Twitter with Ping.FM and have a way for you to keep up with me that way as well.

If all else fails, you will see you can sign up by email - how can you lose? :-)

I will still be around here periodically, so I may repost after awhile so you can check a whole bunch of entries at once if you wish!

Thanks you guys - you ROCK!!

I cannot think of a better "category" for this so here goes!

Earendil has created "ElvenSpeak" as a FREE iPhone downloadable App that will help you learn the older Elvish language of Quenya, as well as operating as an Elvish/English and English/Elvish dictionary. It even has the Solar Elven Calendar!

It is hoped that updates will be provided for the newer Elvish language, Sindarin (that is the one used in the LOTR movies). In the meantime - ENJOY!! And ADD Earendil as your myspace friend too!

Anyone (in US or Canada) who is interested in learning and discussing astrology can join us, and though it is free, you are responsible for long distance charges if they apply to you (and many have free cell minutes on weekends).  These are not designed for people to get "free readings" but rather for anyone at any experience level to learn things about astrology itself, with personal as well as mundane/global applications.

For our international friends (and our techy US friends), we have an operational "Skype" account. If you have a fairly robust computer with a high-speed internet connection, and speakers/mic or headset, go to www.skype.com to download their free program - then contact us through the website or at astrologymontana@yahoogroups.com to learn how to be added to the Conference!

2nd Sunday of the month

Start times: 10am PT, 11am MT, 12noon CT, 1pm ET, 2pm AT
(Check with www.worldtimeserver.com for other areas, and Montana honors Daylight Time when implemented)

Venus goes retrograde (at 15 degrees Aries) on March 6th at 9:17am PT (12:17pm ET), and goes direct (at 29 Pisces) on April 17th. Interestingly, many of us are expecting our tax refunds, but need to be careful to NOT make large purchases until AFTER the 17th! Traditionally, Venus retrogrades are times when we will later be dissatisfied with our spendings, due to our collective re-vamping of our values - so WAIT.

This also translates into relationship issues - many of which surface or intensify during these times. Venus rules women, so issues could originate with an underlying female issue (and for most of us, the first female in our lives is our mother, so look there first). With this being mostly in Aries (and Mars not being well-placed for most of this transit), impatience and argumentativeness and even passive-aggressive behaviors will likely be displayed. Strong relationships will communicate, while those that are not so strong may break up. Re-structuring what we VALUE is what this is all about!

ADDITION: If you decide to BEGIN a relationship during this time, it will likely be a repeat of old issues and not last. Be careful how you invest your heart!

On July 10, 2008, after much earlier deliberation with my board members of the astrological group in which (don't ask) I have been the reluctant "Prez," I called the national group's representative (who happens to over time become a good friend of mine) to tell her that our group is "dis-engaging" from the national one, due to the fact that it has been a total struggle to meet requirements, and it has now gotten so hard to do so that it is just better if we continue our group without the national affiliation. That night, we had a heck of a wind-storm, and the Siberian Elm (Ulmus pumila - see http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/5/5b/Ulmus_pumila_leaves.jpg/727px-Ulmus_pumila_leaves.jpg) managed to have one of its larger branches come crashing down. I didn't discover it until the next day, after I called one of my best clients to wish him a happy solar return (birthday). Interestingly, he also had a similar experience, as he was leaving his employer to go solo himself!

I gave the tree Reiki - however, this time - the tree "told" me to make an essence with it. Amongst other things that it told me, it said that it was to be used for types of people who have much responsibility, as it would help them with it - and reading "Elm" with Dr. Bach's essences matches that pretty well. However, it also told me it was to help those carrying inappropriate responsibility to not only recognize it, but to release it back to appropriate sources. The tree had directed me to not only use the leaves from the large fallen branch, but also the leaves from the standing, living tree - and also some leaves from the new growth at the base of the tree, to give a very "rounded" essence. I "saw" my square glass bowl (like with the Dandelion essence) instead of the round one that I normally use, and my pendulum told me to start it on the Saturn Hour, which was getting close to the sunsetting time - so I knew the sunlight had nothing to do with making this essence. I allowed it to sit for a full 24 hours - and when I picked it up to process, there were ants around it (yet another Saturn element).

When looking up Elm in my magically-based books, not only did I learn it was ruled by Saturn (which explains the whole responsibility thing), but I was reminded that Elves were have considered to live in Elm Trees. I then decided to look at the Latin name, Ulmus pumila - and I learned that pumila means "Dwarf" - so this essence has a Dwarf energy as well! In thinking about how the Elves and Dwarves are portrayed in the Legendarium, I could see how this essence could be of use to those of us who are drawn to, or work with, those energies! In a way, I also consider the Siberian Elm "Branch-Fall" one to be my first "environmental" essence hehehe! Thanks for reading!

(Coming Later - a complete list of the Flower Essences made so far - there are 18 at last count!)
