U.K tour Cancelled.

Unfortunately we've been forced to cancel the scheduled tour to the U.K. The agency we've been working with haven't been able to live up to their part of the agreement, and like last time we would have had too many off days and were in no possition to go through with the tour.

I can't tell you how sad it makes us. We've been looking forward to this such a long time and as last month, our booking partners at Fat Cat bookings, assured us that everything was going according to plans. Although we had our doubts.

Once again the illusive U.K slips through our fingers and runs off into the woods.

We would like anyone who'd planned to come to a show to know that if there was even the slightest possibility of breaking even on this tour, we would have gone through with it, but there isn't.

We will continue to try to break this particularly tough nut and we sincerly hope that Babylove and the van Dangos will one day plant our feet on English soil. But this shure is a sad, sad day for us.

News

Dear Friends

Babylove and the van Dangos has entered the lions den and popped the studio cherry for 2009. Recording can be like going to war sometimes, but I have to say that this time it was pure joy. I especially dug the robot that brought me beer!

We kidnapped (literaly) Morten "Kidd" McCoy from the Skandals to man the organ fortress, and jumpin' Jehoshaphat is that 16 year old guy something else. He fit in with the guys like a hand in glove. Well...you'll hear for yourselves.

We got two new tracks in the bag. One is a cover of the Dutch rock band Peter Pan Speedrock's "Heatseeker", for a compilation on Whathappenedtothereasonforscreamingrecords. Drink a pint of gin and say that ten times if you can.

The coolest part is that the compilation will feature different bands ALL covering the same song. I can't wait to hear the other versions! For updates on the release check http://www.myspace.com/reasonforscreamingrecords

The second tune is our own baby "I want you here" that some of you might have heard a bootleg version of on our Myspace. It will be released as a split 7" with our favourite one man ska-band, Chris Murray. Two A-sides for the prize of one. Do they know it's Christmas time at all! The release date is set to "October", preceding our European tour in November.

NEWS NEWS NEWS!!

Nothing is certain but news and spring

Just when we thought that spring had decided to take a hiatus this year, it Karatekicks winters pale ass in two days. We don't know how it's been for you, but up north the winter has gone on forever. But like always, the sun is back and we thought it was time to keep you guys up to date with what's happening in the life of Babylove and the van Dangos.Since we have been between booking agencys, there is not gonna be a regular Europe tour this spring. We have decided to play a couple of selected weekend shows in spring and concetrate on a proper tour come fall.

NEW GERMAN BOOKING
First we are happy, overjoyed and proud to announce that our new European booking agency is none other than Muttis Booking in Kreutzberg, Berlin. Being our first choice and people we have nothing but respect for, I can't tell you how happy we are to start this year with them by our side.

NEW ALBUM
The third BvD album is slowly starting to present itself and should be expected in spring 2010, but since we just can't leave you hanging for that long we're gonna release a split 7 inch in October. A split??? With whom???, you ask. Well let's just say it's one of our favourite singers/songwriters from the shoreline of venice. This certain somebody will also join us in the tourvan for the autumn tour if everything goes according to plans.

FIRST UK TOUR THIS SUMMER
Last week of July and first week of August is the virgin tour of England. Two weeks of fish and chips, lager and driving on the left side of the road. I can't wait to finally go after having to cancel the last time. See you limeys in a couple of months!!! The tour is booked by our new friends at Fatcat Booking.

Finally, an advice for you guys… turn this blasted thing (your computer!) off and go out in the sun, have a beer or dance the night away with that special somebody, 'cause we sure as hell don't have the time to. We got work to do!!!
