Tuesday July 4^th!

Well, today we went down to Point Pleasant beach and we arrived at about half 2 ish. We got some food and then Lydia and I went down to the beach. It was a very nice beach really, a lot of rather small stones though. Anyway, Lydia went right into the sea and rode the waves on her little board thingy but I just kinda paddled a bit and ran away when the big waves came as Im a bit of a wimp. Then we played a bit of Frisbee which was fun but it tired us out a bit, We then went to cool off and wash off all the sand. Afterwards we went to the arcade and Lydia and I played air hockey and she won twice! We also played these other games that got us these tickets and I exchanged mine for a point pleasant shot glass and a roll of bidding chips (or poker chips). We then brought some yummy pizza and some ice-cream before having to find a bench where we waited for the fireworks, personally I think that the nov 5^th fireworks are slightly better but these were cool. When returning to the car there were a big group of fire trucks so I took a pic of them and they are funks. When we got back we watched house as per usual before going to bed.

Wednesday 5^th July

 

Today was fab! Lydia and I took the train into NYC and it was very cool. The only annoying thing was that I didnt had my passport with me and so I could change up my travellers checks, but I managed to get through the day so its all good. First we went downtown to the less expensive part which was okies, we went into a few very cool vintage shops but I didnt buy anything there though. At about half 2 we went back up to 5^th ave and I was very happy. We went to Sacks and Tiffanys and Co. We also went past the Disney store where I got a very cool picture with a Pirate. We then found the fab friends fountain which made my day! (see my new picture) and then we went into central park which was beautiful! I took many many pictures while I was there it was great! We then made our way home and watched Youve got mail which is very romantic I loved that film it was fab!

Thursday 6^th July

 

Today was quite a lazy day really. We were both pretty tired after July 4^th and then NY so we did virtually nothing really. We did watch legally blonde which rocks and I know too much of that film we were both quoting so much of it, it was very funny. I had the perfect day song stuck in my head all day. We then had to take Lydia fencing after tea so Pat and I went to Wall Mart its kinda like Macros I guess but its not in bulk. This is where I got the peanut butter for Charlie and Dan and the kisses for frenchy and I also brought all 3 Hilary Duff Cds because Im a bit of a saddo

Friday 7^th July

 

Today was a Pirate day! W00t w00t! Firstly Lydia and I watched Pirates 1 and I love that film its so funny! Then we went to Americana which is a restaurant which reminded me of the film Casablanca. We then went to see Pirates 2 which was great! I love the randomness thats in this film and Elizabeth is very much like Anna in this one which was very funny such a female cliché! Thats pretty much our day pirates!!!!!

 

Saturday 8^th July

 

Well its technically Delta day as it was July 8^th but thats not the point Well Lydia and I went to six flags and it was a bit of a rip off really, the food and stuff is so overpriced and Americans cannot load cars to save their life! It was highly annoying! Anyway, We went on Kinda Ka which was great, but its very much like stealth but your face gets pulled back more as its that much faster! El Toro is very overrated for what it is, I mean its really not that great! Batman was a bit of a letdown for me really, I didnt think it was that good at all, Nemesis is a lot better then batman, but the theming of the park is really great, its probally on par with Chessington it was really well done. Batman and Robin The chiller was closed which upset me a little, Medussa was cool, especially when the floor disappeared at the platform but the track is still below you it was great, and the track is very cool its made very well! The great American scream machine was alright, it had many inversions but it is getting a bit old, it had no queue though which was great but it was a little painful at times and the seats felt so strange! Finally there was superman ultimate flight! Oh my life that has to be one of my favourite rides ever it was fantastic! Its a tilted, flying coaster and it really does feel like you are flying, and also when you go up the lift hill you feel so scared like your going to fall but that was so much fun I loved it, so despite the long queues and the expensiveness of stuff it was great!

Sunday 9^th July

 

Today was interesting. We went to church which was interesting, it was really good. After church and stuff we went home and watched the tennis finals and then we went to this very random shop where I brought another bag its a very cute pink one J and some presents for my family. We then went to this very nice bread place and I got a French baguette for NY tomorrow. We then went to the book store where I really wanted to buy some medical books but chose not to as they were quite expensive. We then went back to Wal Mart where I had to buy a bag so I could take home all the stuff that I had brought in it. And I brought Rook (a very cool card game) We then returned home  and I taught them how to play spoons which was fun, we then played rook again and by that time it got a little late and we went to bed for some much needed rest.

Monday 10^th July

 

Today was very fun as Lydia and I went back into New York yay! The apple store was quite depressing but it was cool as it was helpful to know what I can do on that computer but I really want it now and its annoying knowing that I dont have enough money for it just yet. I really need a job! We then went back uptown on the subway! And went to Barneys and Calvin Klein for some more touristy things. We went to Tiffanys again and I found this lovely necklace but right now I cant afford it L we also went back to the Disney store where I got layles some pirates things and I brought a Pirates eye patch and a mini will Turner who looks very cool. I also got some I love NY t-shirts for people and a NY photo album for myself so I can put all my pictures in it! We also went to Bloomingdales as I LOVE that shop and I brought yet another bag Im obsessed with bags oh my gosh! Once we got back we played another game of Rook before going to bed.

Tuesday 11^th July

 

Today was fun, we didnt do too much though but it was still good. Lydias friend Geoff came round and so we played a few games and things, I lost all the time L I then made them all a pasta bake which they all enjoyed and I was glad to do that to say thank you to them all. I finally finished my mastoris cake which was very nice and I felt a sense of achievement when I finally finished it J Then Anna, Lydia and I came up with a poem of emo clichés and then Anna dressed up in some baggy jeans and a black hoody and created a some which was great! Wednesday 12^th July

 

Well its finally my last day in the US and I really dont want to leave L It has gone by so fast oh my life! Today Lydia and I played quite a few games like Trivial Pursuit UK Childrens edition from about 10 years ago and it was so old and easy it was funny! The Lydia made me my matchbox 20 CDs I love that band they are so cool! Once Anna Got back from work we went back to Chicago Uno restaurant and then we saw Pirates 2 again which I think was better the second time around to be honest.

 

So yeah that was America I hope you enjoyed reading all about my adventures and stuff, sorry if it was too long for you but oh well J I will try and write about Anj and Claires wedding soon and things and I also hope to upload my America pictures but that may take a little while sadly. But yeah hope to speak to you all soon, love you lots :D

Friday 30^th June 2006

Yesterday I watched freaky Friday, I thought that it was a great film - but Chad Michael Murrays hair was the funniest thing ever! We then went to pick up Lydia and annas grandma from the hospital and we took her home. We then went to Mastoris which is an American dinner - it was very yummy and the portions are huge, and I came back with this HUGE piece of chocolate cake. When we go back we watched 2 episodes of greys anatomy - it was the party one and the one with the tumour lady - that one has some very good morals and stuff in it - especially at the end. I really want to buy series 1 when it comes out in the UK its coolies.

Today was a bit more productive. After watching will & grace I had some lunch and then some of my very yummy chocolate cake :) We then went to princeton university to see Lydias film production. The university is amazing! Its very beautiful :) It really is like the perfect uni that you would see in films and stuff. We watched Lydias film and despite the fact that it made no real sense due to this stupid kid in her group, the special effects and everything were great! We then went to this shop called marshalls which is like a TK max type of shop but I managed to find some lovely shoes - they have a bit of a high heel but they are beautiful. I also brought this very cute black dress that could be cinsidered to look a little 1920's style. When we got back Lydia and I played LOTR trivial persuit which she clearly won but I did myself proud I think. After tea we went to the cinema to see The devil wears Prada which was exelent! It was a really good movie and it did have meryl Streep in it so I knew that it should be good - I think shes fantasitc! When we got back home I decided to watch greys and I realised that we are only a few epsiodes into series 2 meaning we have a long way to go yet.

 

Saturday 1^st July 2006

Most of today was great I suppose. The first thing we did was watch the football as it started at 11am over here. I was in disbelief that we lost I was so upset that I almost cried. And now that Brazil and Germany are out it looks as though if we did beat portugal then we could have atcually been in with a chance of wining (well aside from having to face France of course). Anyway after the game we had some pizza followed by pineapple, jelly and this stuff thats kind of like ice cream but its not. It was very nice though. After this we then headed off to the King of Prussia which is the second biggest mall in America. When we arrived you can really see why it is the second biggest in America - it is huge! We walked around for ages as there were a lot of shops to go into as they have virtually every store you can think of there its great! I brought 2 pairs of flip flops for $5. Then we went to hot topic where I brought this very cute dress which has a bit of a 50's style to it and it was $42 which was bareable but when I came to pay it had been reduced to $14.50 - dont you love it when that happens? After much more shopping and walking around I went to the lindt store and brought a bag of truffles and then I got my regular at starbucks. We then headed to this other part of the mall and I went into bloomingdales which is where I brought a very nice bag there and I also got one of those medium brown paper bags too so I was happy for the day. Athough I may have to buy another bloomingdales bag before I leave as I found another one that I really liked in there too. When we got back we watched this film called soap dish which was very funny but I really want to watch some of those American soaps just to compare.

Sunday 2^nd July 2006

Today was a nice day really. We got up at about half 8 and went to church. After this we went to Acme store which is where I brought lucky charms for certain people and some oreos for myself. We then came home and played the fellowship game for PS2 - it was the cheeiest game ever but it was very funny. At 12 we headed to the beach and Lydia and I played mini golf. Sadly she won by about 3 shots. We walked along the sidewalk and I brought a cup of flavoured ice which tastes very nice atcually. We then came back home and Lydia and I played a few stupid games with each other but they were quite fun too. Some of Annas friends came over and so we were hanging out with them and playing with random stress balls and stuff like that before they left and we watched flight plan which was a gripping film.

Monday 3rd July 2006

Today was fun. We didnt do an awful lot but it was still enjoyable. Lydia and I explored Bordentown, we went to a rather expensive used book store and then we went to this café called Katies which had a very nice milkshake and some very nice fries too. When we got back we laughed at the very bad US version of the weakest link, gosh that was not good :) Then we watched 10 things I hate about you which I could pratically quote every line from as I have seen it so many times now but its still very funny. Then the neighbour - Gail came round for dinner and then we played some games. Firstly we played balderdash which was fun. After that they tought me how to play Rook, which is a lot like the cad game wist but its slightly different. I managed to win both times despite changing team members in the second round.

 

OK I also have what could be considred to be the 2 greatest days so far to type us, I have to write all about July 4th (independence day) and then yesterday's trip to NYC but I shall do that a little bit later a I'm a bit tired from writing right now. I have also decided that due to th many many pctures I have already taken I shall be making a whole new blog for pictures alone :) that's all for now, missing you all loads :)

well wednesday saw the 2 lot of science exams for me which totally sucked as I totally missed out the last page on the biology exam paper when I thought I had finished grrrrr!!! but then afterwards I hoped onto a train and met up with mark, Peaj, tirstan and frenchy to celebrate Mark's 18th birthday! so we went to have KFC in victora as we were all hungry, after this we went to harrods and had lots of fun in the toy section shooting marshmellows at each other with some crazy guns!! and playing table football and airhocky! it was great. we then went on the DLR wich was in itself exciting to grenwich park. which was nice and sunny but we climbed up this HUGE hill to go to the observetary tower which was BORING!!! but we still managed to have a laugh, and the view was nice from up there. we then went to starbucks and I got my regular, caramel coffee frapachino (which I have had 3 of in 1 week....) anyway, then we traveled towards tower bridge which was rather nice but me and mark couldn't be bothered to pay £5.50 just to go in the towers it's a rip off IMO!! so then we went to oxford street where mark brought a sexy yellow belt and looked at shoes but didn't buy any. Next we took a trip to nando's in croydon, which saw out many laughs especially on my stupidity! including filling up my glass with too much ice lmao!! and then there was my chips and chips woooo that was higly funny!!! I enjoyed that, then we went back to marks house and me and Mark listened to kelly Clarkson on the bus and we were doing crazy actions to the songs (well mainly me doing the actions but yeah). and then when we got to Marks we began to watch his new doctor who dvd of the 1970's doctor and the crazy sarah woman with the yellow mac!! and then we got a bit bored so we got tristan drunk and began to play on the game cube!! then I went up to bed whilst the boys stayed up and drank as I had 2 exams the next day (which btw were very easy!!) so yeah I woke up at like 6am and felt like a tramp for the day as I smelt, I was in the same clothes and my hair was greasy and I needed a shower and my foot was hurting because of my damn shoes so I was walking funny..... But in the morning I found peaj and mark still a bit tipsy and tristan had kinda sobered up and frenchy was being good and didn't drink much to start off with. so we went back to corydon so that me and peaj could go home and the other 3 went to chessington. So the bus journey saw much more dramatic kelly clarkson actions and speaking the words instead of singing them which was highly amusing. and then in croydon we went to Gregs and brought some food (and red bull for me) to get the day going, and then we put peaj on the tram and said our goodbyes. Then Mark, frenchy and Tristan put me on the bus, which I almost fell over on as it moved but that was a very funny moment, anyway it was a great day (apart from me ruining it all and being the twat that I am but I'm not going to talk about all that)

I am soo upset right now and i know that it's a stupid reason and everything but I just can't believe that due to the damn trains and stuff I MISSED meeting delta and going to starbucks with her! My life totally sucks and I adore delta everyone knows that I do, and to meet her is like my dream of a lifetime and I just can't believe that i was soo close but yet so far - I guess I was a little too late (see what i did there) But I really wish I was there and I know there will be other times but not like that - my life truely sucks as everytime I go looking for her I don't find her and as soon as I'm not there they find her straight away! I'm really happy for you guys though as you are true delta fans forever and you deserve every second of deltaness you get! especially you julliet :) and so I feel soo proud that you got to go to strabucks with her and Kate too while she was here from aus but I just totally wish that i was there and that I could have finally met her - Bring on september and Brian's promo of his new single, I really hope there is a chance then as I'll be sooo going to absolutely everything!

other then that i kinda screwed up my maths exam because of my own stupidity! but never mind!! only 5 more exams to go now w00t w00t I'll be soo glad when it's all over

well I went to TP yesterday with Frenchy, Liney, Mini Frenchy, Tristan,
Alex, Toby, Jen, TPDave, and Big Dave

I met up with frenchy, mini, liney and tristan at clapham junction and we arrived to staines at the drastically early time of about 7.50 ish and so we decided to walk, its quite far but it's not too bad to walk it really. So we arrived at TP an hour early and were the first people in the AP que!! Go us!

we were then joined by the rest of the gang just before opening.
As the gates opened we decided to MFD to Stealth but to my horror, I clipped the back of liney's anke and plummeted to the ground! My need is still recovering from this! seriously now it's all bruised and badly damaged.... :(

However, our MFD failed as we were stopped before we even got to the dome as they were for some reason not letting people in. But when they did they shouted "don't run!!" which I drastically agree with now, as percious fangirls may get hurt!

we were first in the que for stealth so we got on the first ride of the day which is always a nice feeling

there were many jokes being made throughout the day as per usual but the ledgend of the day has to be tristan with his crazy hair and his clay gel! :D
There was also a lot of singing involved, for example on the train journey there frenchy and liney were trying to sing the whole of "notes" from POTO but as there are soo many words there was a point were they got confused and moved on to other phantom songs such as the music of the night. also on the journey home tristan and frenchy were listening to frenchy's I-pod and to my horror as I was about to leave them at my stop they were listening to billie piper why my gosh why? to shich they replied- Because we want to lol!

Overall the day was rather good, Zodiac was having a few troubles throughout the day and kept going up into mid-air but without spinning, only one arm on rush was working and rumba rapids broke down (for about 10 minuites) other then that the park was working rather well, the ques were not too long for anything which was surprising since it was half term weeks but it helped us to get on a good amount of rides today

The first time on loggers leap was fantasticly funny! I sat behind tristan and on the first spash I ducked behind him only for him to begin having a spaz attack due to the fact that the water went in his face and in his mouth! it was the funniest thing ever!


At one point in the day Zodiac broke down and I was tired and bord and not much was happening and i had a penny in my pocket, so I decided to balance it on my nose and even when I looked down to do my shoelace up it was still on my nose! it was my new trick for the day...

I think that we a pretty enjoyable day and it didn't really rain either so the weather was pretty good too but it did get a little windy by the end of the day.

we were also distraught to find out that we were not allowed to go to the farm as we were a big group and its children and young coupple's only but I enjoy the farm and was highly dissapointed that we were not allowed to go

by the end of the day we were all a little bit insane from the day and lack of sleep I think and so once frenchy had finished his coke bottle we all started going a little insane! it was very strange and tristan kept having spaz attacks (similar to eariler) everytime the bottle came near him.

I got my stealth hoody today - so I can be a real fangirl now!! £20 reduced to £16 due to AP!!!



I was very tired after having only 1and a half hours sleep the night before - and my new hoody was just soo comfy...

oh my gosh i have finally plucked up the nerve to go and sign up for the race for life for cancer research! I'm getting more and more scared by the second and there are only 3 and a half weeks till the race - which makes things a whole lot worse! now I need to fit in revision in between some good ol' runs to try and get in shape - at least I might manage to loose a bit of weight beofre COA evening which will be a good thing, i guess I better start from tomorrow, no more sitting around for me, i just can't belive I'm doing this i really can't as I think that everyone knows that I can't run for 5 seconds let alone 5kilometers (how far is that in miles?) anyway I'll give it my best shot but I need to try and raise 100 and this is where you wonderful guys come into the equation, If you all just gave 2 each i would almost be at my target goal so please anyamount will do, even just 10p it all goes to cancer research which I think is a worthey cause as I know how many lives they save just by doing what they do! anyway i best be off to bed, ready to start my intense training aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
