dreams will be odd
news reported that the commander in chief was killed in action
but no one cared
everone was preoccupied with the reserection of a pop star
the only thing that was capable of saving me from drowning in a swamp that I slip 'n slided into was saying Jeff Foxworthy redneck jokes. yeah, I drowned.
when I revived, I had my cast on again, and I remembered how much I hated that thing
was rescued by three giggling girls decorated in shiney cds
we ate rainbow candy
while watching children perform a peter pan play in a danny devito's mansion
the kids jumped off stacks of xboxes when attempting to fly
was terrible performance
i tried talking to one of the girls, but her face was that of a scarecrow
danny devito handed me a cigar and we discussed about the dead commander in chief
he showed me his house
on the wooden floor, his wabbling webbed penguin feet sounded like the pouring of pudding into water
vintage cars and dinosaur bones hung from the ceiling
he began putting on a gimp leather mask as we entered his room
danny devito began wheezing ho ho ho ho
he unizipped his mouth piece and began devouring fish heads
the snapping of his jaws hid the sound of my running away
my cast arm hit a vase
and i passed out
i awoke at first day at cfcc
HSC 2654 End of Life Ethics
all of us students were sitting in desks that had toilets for chairs
i didn't ask why, but i began using it during the lesson
on the board were drawings of narwhals with tusks covering half of their entire body
and itsy bitsy cutesy wutsy doodles of sea otters
the instructor drew what looked like a football strategey with x's and o's and arrows
O team otters totally lost
she than went over how the otters must be accepting of death as common, for they are but simply happy meals to the giant narwhals and american fisherman
when she began drawing the circle of life , I let loose a big shit into the bowl
I realized I had no toilet paper, nor was there water in that bowl
and so i ripped a page out of the Death text book, whiped, and woke up.

electric fancy

The puffing jungle wheezes in thirst,
anticipating, anticipating.

Cavalry drums hush the audience.

Teeth clenched tight;
white knuckle – red face;
contorted brow – flared nostril;
forehead wrinkles tense.
A build up of stinging sweat,
concentrating.

More rabble rousing;
more foreplay;
teasing the audience.

And than,

a silent snap
- a bead of sweat breaks off the chin.
Hungry brown crackled lips grin
- Tasting the drop in temperature,
as the gods drizzle nectar and ambrosia
from the gravy boat clouds

The maestro signals the woodwinds.
“Adagio.”
Soft notes fall;
tiny kisses bring life back to the emerald umbrellas.
A smooth wash of excitement.

Strings join the woodwinds.
“Andante.”
Thicker raindrops gush.
Bassist strumming buttermilk chords;
Plucking;
Dropping heavier beats;
Juicing the teat of blackberry sky

White

- brilliant white cuts the black.
Scribble scrabble guided by a thousand hands;
Chiseling – sculpting – hammering;
driving the light
into the land.

Ringing of a bell commences the fight.
Echoes upset the land – whispering voices shuffle.
“Allegrissimo! Accelerando!” The maestro’s wand cries.
Rain smacks the ground;
Thunder snares;
- Clap clap
- White claps.
Snapshots of the war hit the table.
“Affettuoso!”
Thunderstorm Love cracks a hook;
penetrating jabs.
Electric fancy, criss-cross lightening;
unrelenting livershot.
Dust screams;
melting aluminum sweat.

Buckets of punches pour – and continue to pour!
Not cats and dogs
- black panthers; white wolverines;
snarling, salivating beasts
- claws slashing – fangs devouring the landscape.
Waves and waves of middle-aged men
- stampeding – shouting.
A chariot race of white bolts - clanking wheels;
shattering stained glass windows.

Hazy, humid, hot steam billows from the passionate couple.
The maestro’s arms lower;
dancer’s pause mid-step,
recollecting conscious thought.

The wounded land sobs.

Streaks of indigo glisten the rigid, rocky terrain that was once cheekbone and brow.
Throbbing red bumps fold over a destroyed eye socket.
The dancers stare into each other;
searching for meaning;
swaying slowly to the beat of their exhausted hearts.

Ferocious vultures squawk
- The flock demands more – more!

Vulcan’s knock-out cannon is fired.

Blinding white engulfs the stadium.
Hundreds of cameras flash
- black white.
A flickering silhouette falls
- White black white.
The sound of defeat;
Rome falling to Barbarians;
the tapping of timpani drums;
three bell chimes;
the forest applauds

Wrote this for a college application to New College of Florida.

............................

Growing up in an age with convenience as foundation, the
youth of America has lost appreciation towards hard work by having too much comfort given to them.

Heroes of the past generations were the iconic renegades, risking their lives for others, setting ideals that society esteemed for; their feats recorded in art and literature. The idols of today are Hollywood; the youth only adopting their irresponsible attitudes, excessive spending habits, narcissism. Today’s youth aren’t as motivated to independently read or see the world for themselves like previous generations. Instead of reading and being enlightened, this generation just watches television and only sees what the camera man sees - what the industries want them to see - limiting their perspective and enclosing them into a falser reality. Technology is thought to have made life more convenient, yet everyday; people become more dependent upon it and because of this, their minds and hands go to waste, and their creativity decays.

Rather than being intrinsically motivated to work, this generation is mainly driven on a need for money. The apathetic youth will not take action unless they are paid money, for adults have always told them, “Time is money.” All that time really is, is but a man-made construct to bring order, and to illustrate life as a measurement. Life can not be just about money; however, in today’s American culture, the youth are getting the impression that money is. Why do the youth get this impression? Since they’ve been born, the parents of this generation have been supporting and buying them luxuries all their life. By always paying for their  children’s needs, the youth do not learn the true value of money, never having to really work for what they earn. Since our capitalist market sponsors consumerism, and Hollywood celebrities are always buying flashy things, the youth become encouraged to spend someone else’s hard earned money on meaningless items.

The majority of this generation is not searching for meaning, not trying to maximize their potential, and not working toward the greater good. By being apathetic and showing no appreciation towards the classics or hard work, nothing is learned – it is as if the cause of the writers died when they died; but, it didn’t - the documents are still there - waiting for someone to read them, understand what was written, and to carry on that torch. Those that do carry on this torch of ambition and truth are the diligent, freethinking individuals that are driven by their own passion, cooperating with minds like their own, sharing their thoughts of innovation without their only motive being monetary gain.

In order to prevent future generations from living in apathy and greed, the education system must be improved upon. The education system in America has such lower standards when compared to a majority of the world. Why are the standards so low? If the youth today will be in charge of America in a few decades, shouldn’t the education system be more rigorous? Schools must raise a more challenging, engaging environment for students – forcing them to critically think, work harder, and break away from mediocrity. Community service should be incorporated within the schedule, for volunteering help benefits the community and those in need, as well as raising future generations with more positive principles.  In order to graduate, one must truly have an appreciation of the heroes before – one must truly understand what was written in the books read – feel the reason why passion, courage, and creativity were once respected traits before just money, fame, and a pretty face.

so I read Watchmen again. Keep thinking of these two scenes ...interestingly they seem to contradict each other

If you haven't read Watchmen, you totally should
AT LEAST see the movie when it comes out on 3.6.09.

So lately I've been getting into Astrology. Still seems like bullshit since every website says different things, but its interesting to look at who my friends are and compare them to their zodiac character.After gathering general info, it seems that being a Libra,  I'm most compatible with Aquarius, Gemini, Libra; complimentary to Aries; should basically avoid ...everything else ... Seems kinda right I guess. Some of the stuff I read is pretty funny though, knowing past relationships and how well the stars predicted their outcomes heh

Dang, I really shouldn't be superstitious - its just gonna limit my outlook on life. so, whatever whatever whatever. I'll just sleep with one eye open instead of both.

Because they wouldn't play Bee Gees at the prom, I took the liberty at midnight, in the parking lot, to bust out my car speakers and play Staying Alive. The dancing group around my car grew to about 10, when a police car pulled up saying I was missing something. A second later he busted out the Red-Blues, and three more boxed my car on the side. Now that was a disco.

The prom itself, well, I lived it. Danced for what... four hours pretty much. Girls fell in love with me, a group of girls avoided me, girls took copious pictures of me. Uhh yeah, if youre reading this, and youre a girl, you know you fell in one of those three catagories ...if not two, or even all three.

I should have wore kneepads.

Current mood:  adventurous

When they cast bells, they write inscriptions on them. One bell in the belltower read

"All truth is one - in this light - science and religon endeavour here for the study and evolution of mankind - from darkness to light - from narrowdness to broadmindedness - from prejudice to tolerence. It is the voice of life which calls us to come and learn."

if we want to know how the future will be, ask an expierenced Kindergarten teacher - she upbrings the future generations year after year
