Hey guys, we made an awesome video for our next single,"The Shine."  We worked with our good friend and amazing director Tom Larkin, www.tlarkinproductions.com.  Him and his crew Eliott and Ed were amazing.  We shot the HD quality video in about 6 hours and he edited it all in less than 24 hours, many more to come!

Well, I think this is a good place for us to tell some of our greatest stories to our fans.  Without further adieu, I present........
                               Up Shit Creek

It was on a dreary as can be Saturday in the small town of Herkenburg, New York, about 20 miles outside of Utica.  We had been asked to play the Utica Music Festival on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday so we decided instead of spending mad loot on a hotel room, we're going to bring the camper and camp out for the weekend at a KOA (Campground of America).  This was a beautiful setting all weekend, luscious rolling hills and a beautiful stream surround the crisp autumn air.  Beautiful, despite the ailing weather throughout the weekend.  Thursday and Friday's gigs went well, nothing TOO extraordinary if I'm being totally honest, but it doesn't mean we didn't meet some amazing people, because we did.  Just that, the gigs themselves weren't the best.  So anyways, let me get to the story here.  So, for my birthday, I was given a new fishing rod and tackle box from my wonderful friends in Clarion.  This seemed like a great time to test it out.  Afterall, we were right next to a beautiful trout stream, Canada creek.  For two days, Alex and I fished hour upon hour upon hour to no avail whatsoever and began to get a bit frustrated.  I didn't give up on Saturday becuase our show wasn't until Midnight, so I just fished all day, despite the torrential rain.  Alex decided at about 3PM to go for a healthy jog.  Upon his return, he boasted about FISHING ROCK road, a road he had stumbled on in his travels.  Fishing rock road was, funnily enough, a left turn off of 28 North in upstate New York, quite the coincidence.  Alex came back to the camper and talked about this spot where we could catch fish.  I thought, I fished enough today, naw.  So we were bored in the camper and decided to go and buy a pack of cigarettes to kill some time. The whole band got in the van with all the equipment and set out on 28 North, the road, to find the closest convenience store. I was drviving no more than 5 minutes from our homebase when Alex said "yo, here's fishing rock road, turn down this road!"  So I did.  We descended the road parallell to the road was a deep stream, much deeper than where we had fished previously, and in between the road and the stream, there lay a grassy, muddy, mucky path.  Of course, that was where the fun was, so we took the 9 pasanger school van, with bald ass tires and all of our precious gear down this path.  For about a quarter mile we were fine, until we saw a patch of mud. FLOOR IT.  So I gunned the gas to get over the patch, hoping for victory amist the other side of the fishing rock.  Nope.  Stuck as fuck.  We got out and started pushing, cursing eachothers' poor judgement.  The rain was sinking the 3 ton van more and more into the ground, with every raindrop our hopes of getting to the gig and getting the van out diminished. We had a bit of cash on us, and a cell phone.  We called every single tow company in town, ended up being 15 of them.  Nobody picked up. Panic sets in.  I tried one more company and let it ring probably 25 times, all of a sudden I hear a voice, "HELLO?"  "Yes!" I screamed and told him we were a band stuck in a patch of unforgiving mud.  He said, i'll be there in 45, just hang out. I said look for the long haired dudes covered in mud.  Jon and I started walking towards the road to see if we could flag someone down as Alex and Tyler stayed with the gear.  To our surprise, a big great four wheel silver pick up passed by us and I waived him down.  "we're stuck as shit man"  "hop in."  The man who picked us up was named Rick and he lived in the town.l  He proceeded to tell us that many cars have tried to drive here and many cars have gotten forever stuck in this very spot, and even more have ended up lost in the river below. We started freaking out.  He said, well, I'll try.  He and us proceeded to attatch the van to his truck with a chain.  We tried from the front....No go. We tried from the back....No go.  We were just too sunk into the ground.  The mud came all the way up to the frame of the car.  Without a shovel, we were screwed!  So we got on our hands and knees and began to dig our van out with our bare hands.  This seemed to be a possible solution for our predicament. Rick jumped in the truck, I jumped in the van and we set sail for the grand finale. If this didn't work, nothing would.  HIT IT, he screamed, as I did I felt the van move backwards out of the mud along with about a thousand pounds of pressure from my head float away and we were freed.  We learned a valuable lesson, don't offroad with your school van and all your gear!
Thanks again Rick

oh yea, the tow truck guy came right as we got out, oh well, sorry dude!
Love
Mike

Hey friends,
As the 28 North summer tour winds to a close, I want to just rehash some of the amazing moments and let you know whats next for you favorite band (us).  We have had an amazing time.  We are still all in great spirits and ready for our next venture.  This tour was absolutely amazing.  We booked everything ourselves, advertised all ourselves, promoted all ourselves, paid for it our of our pocket, and I must say, hard work most certainly pays off.  We had an amazing night in Cleveland at the Winchester back in June, lots of 28 North's most hardcore fans were there rockiing out.   Columbus, amazing club called the Scarlet and Grey where we met some great people.  West Virgina, met some great people and rocked that club for about 3 hours!  Who could forget the amazing 8x10 club in our favorite city, Baltimore. Dr. Slothclaw and all ther amazing fans. Philly, packed house for 28 North, great night, epic night!  New York, probably our best playing gig of the tour, we were on point to a t and we really reached a lot of people. Boston, we met some incredible people.  Who could forget Canada, Hamilton where we showed people a new wave of American rock n' roll by the likes they have never seen!  Chicago, unbelievable people and a great showcase of what we've been doing lately.  The new 28 North has brought the performance factor up to match the musicianship we all are blessed to possess and I belive that Chicago was a great showcase of that.  Kentucky was amazing, we met some amazing people and really built some great fan relationships that I hope we will keep forever.  Buffalo, how could I forget, huge crowd with amazing music fans, and ARM CANNON CHECK THEM OUT!  Cincy, you didn't give us the love we wanted, but we love you forever anyways.  This tour has made me realize how badly I want nothing more than to make you people move and love our music.  This tour was for all of you that came to see us, all of you who supoported a hardworking band by buying Tshirts stickers and CD'S, all of you who made us feel at home no matter how far from Pittsburgh we were, THANK YOU SO MUCH.  We all feel blessed to be able to play these songs for you and we'll do it as long as you want us to.  Thank you again.

Whats next?
We are going to be putting on some big shows in Pittsburgh in the fall, trying to get some great locals to come on board. More Touring as always, A NEW RECORD!  New songs, new videos, everything you desire will be there for you
thanks again
we love you
thank for you support!..

expect mad picture updates!

Salutations from the road,

I'm currently writing from Indianapolis at Mike's brother's apartment, watching Alex struggle through the most recent Mega Man release, it's quite exciting.  The game seems very challenging and it would probably cause me much frustration which could result in the damaging of surrounding objects and many tears.  Therefore I am avoiding any actual participation in the game and writing to you all instead.  The tour has been quite grueling this last week or so with a lot of extended hours driving on the road and very little sleep, however certainly no less fun than I have previously conveyed.  We all had a great time playing Club Absinthe in Hamilton, Ontario.  Our first show in Canada was a wonderful success, much thanks to Adrian and Pneumatic Transit for having us as well as all the enthusiastic music lovers that came to support the show, what a night!  It was lovely to meet so many kind individuals and Sidney Crosby lovers (GO PENS!!), we hope to return soon.  Also, while we were in Hamilton we came across a sweet vintage clothing store and we all bought some hip new threads which you will be able to see in our newer photos and witness live in person at our upcoming shows.
So after our night wound down, we immediately left for Chicago which proved to be our longest haul on the tour so far, about 10 hours with the ridiculous Chicago traffic (uuggh), I mean seriously, how do you have bumper to bumper on the freeway twenty-four f***kin seven?!  But anyway, it was well worth our drive, our first show in Chicago was absolutely wonderful, special thanks to Brian and all at Platform 1 for rocking with us.  Thanks also to Silvie, your club is beautiful and we can't wait to come back!  Next on the agenda was St. Louis, we played an acoustic set in the afternoon at a Borders and we met a lot of new fans.  It was also great to see Brandon, Niya, Lola, and Woody; it's a nice treat to spend time with family in a city where we know not a single soul.  And thanks for taking us out to the 17th St. Bar and Grill for some kick-ass bbq, mmmm ribs.
Next up we have Memphis.  Very cool.  We arrived a day before hour show to have a little fun and check out the scene in the city that birthed rock n roll, as some like to say.  We again had some monumentally awesome bbq at Central BBQ.  Thanks to Kyle for helping us out there and wow, I truly gorged myself that day, I was in a food coma for nearly two hours.  We then drove around a bit and stumbled upon the legendary Sun Studios which wasn't actually open at the time but we got a good picture in front.  The rest of the evening we spent on Beale St checking out all the blues bands in the bars, and what a scene that is, it was quite lively for a Monday night.  The next night we played our show at Murphy's Pub to a very receptive crowd.  Thanks much to Kyle, Luke, and the gang for coming out and our new Scottish friend John we met the night before.  Good times, we hope to see you guys again soon!
That's about all for now, more to come very soon.  Oh, and we saw the new Harry Potter movie and I must say, booooooooring.  Even more so than the last one.  Granted we did not see it in 3D but honestly I am hard pressed to imagine that it would improve the film experience anyway.  I mean they chopped out the whole fight scene at the end with the Death Eaters and where the hell was Neville Longbottom through the whole thing?  Unfortunate if you ask me, but I have strong hopes for a more exciting seventh movie, or maybe it's just time to be done with this Potter nonsense, let me know what you think.

Till next time,
Ty

Hey everyone,

So we have crossed the border to the north and we are staying at a campground somewhere between Hamilton and Toronto.  So far our experience in Canada has been quite delightful.  We have a couple days off to relax and catch up on our "cyberspacing", which I apologize for not updating sooner, it's just very hard to get a solid wifi connection at the campsites.
Our show last Tuesday in Buffalo was wonderful, it was so great to meet new fans and have such a warm reception from many people who have never even heard of us before, thank you so much to those who rocked with us at Club W, we love you!  As for FarmJammaLamma, all I can say is WOW!!!, what a hell of a time!  It was an absolute gas to hang and share the stage with friends like Jazzam, Euphonic Brew, Karmic Juggernaut, The Old E Allstars, Fourth River, The Big Dirty, The Rustlanders, and so many others who brought some serious funk to the festivity.  And not enough thanks could ever be given to Kevin and Jodie for putting on such an incredible event, they took care of us all and treated all the bands like kings (not that we deserve it really). Be sure to check YouTube and the FarmJammaLamma website for a glimpse of what you may have missed in case you weren't there, and if so make sure you are there for next years festival because it just keeps getting bigger and better as the years go on.
On another note we had a stellar weekend playing Philly, NYC, and Boston all in a row.  It was great to meet new fans and to see all of our friends who have been supporting us through the last few years in those cities, each time we play it's bigger and better than the last, and it's because of you!!  A special thanks to Jon's parents in Philadelphia for their everlasting hospitality, we always love stopping in and can't wait til next time.  Our first show in Utica was also a blast playing at the Electric Company. Again it was great to meet new friends and play for enthusiastic music fans.  Thanks so much to the Bourbon Mothers for their support and fantastic playing as well, it was great to see you guys!  I also have to apologize for anyone who may have showed up to the Rongo in Trumansburg for our show on July 3rd, unfortunately the place was closed due to a switch of ownership and no permit of occupancy.  Though nothing will deter us from coming back to such an incredibly receptive audience as they have in the Finger Lakes Region.  And as always it was lovely to see Tim, Carrol Lee, Kathy, Sally, Nell, Alex, Laura, Cheni, and anyone else who stopped by for the acoustic strumming, we love you guys and we will be back soon!
Thats about all for now, be on the lookout for new videos from the tour, there should be some uploaded already on YouTube and whatnot with many more to come.  Farewell for now, take care, and on to Club Absinthe in Hamilton!!!

Take 'er easy dudes,
Ty

Greetings everyone,
We are currently residing outside of Baltimore in a lovely RV park by the name of Cherry Hill.  Our show at the 8x10 was an absolute blast!  It was great to meet so many new enthusiatic music fans, you guys are the shit!  So it is a day off today for 28 North and we haven't yet decided wether to go see the new Transformers movie or drink beers and try to flip our golf cart going full throttle around the bends...pretty much up in the air at this point.  By the way, golf carts are a whole lot of fun, but please do not drink and drive, it's unsafe and could cause your rented golf cart serious damage, resulting in a large bill which most likely you cannot afford, and we are in a band, so such behavior is expected and accepted of us (jk, lol, hahaha).  So we were in Morgantown last Sunday and had fun playing a lot of new songs to a very receptive audience.  We are all very excited and enjoying these new songs a whole lot and can't wait till you all get to hear them!  Up next is Great Falls, VA for some acoustic strumming and then Philly, New York, and Boston!  Be on the look out for new video postings in the next few days as well, we should have some footage of our golf cart off-roading.  28 Northobots rolllllll out!

Take it easy,
Ty

P.S.  So we ended up not seeing Transformers but going to Six Flags and having a blast despite the fact that Jon lost his cell phone on the very first ride, we had a super time nonetheless.  Alex started a massive WAVES chant in the wave pool for the second year running, we are very proud of that.  I also bought a fanny pack which I am nearly equally proud of; though dorky and a constant source of ridicule, the fanny pack is both incredibly convenient and surprisingly unobtrusive.  So fuck off to anyone making fun of me, you are missing out on the wondrous virtues of the fanny pack (not to mention my fanny was not involved at all, it really should be called a waist sack).
