My boyfriend gave me The Dresden Dolls' first album along with the DVD of their show at the Roundhouse in London. After watching that DVD I came to the conclusion that I really needed to work on being a musician. I thought the best place to start is working on my music MySpace.
I've added some interesting tidbits of information about my major influences on my music, including Amanda Palmer, the people in my life, and other artists. Also, I've made a couple album covers to group up the songs I've completed thus far.
The "Get Happy" album cover is a picture of Craig Hall (University of Montana Missoula) mixed up with some designs and a written letter at the bottom. This seemed fitting since most of those songs have to do with my love-affair in Missoula, MT.
The "Dover Beach" album cover is depicting the Seattle Bay with a butterfly wing in the background, and in the foreground is the picture of my hand in my boyfriend's. Most of the songs in this album are my newer, hopefully less depressing thoughts on life.
I want to get some studio-time sometime soon, and actually get a real album made. I need to practice my songs over and over again and make new ones, but it'll be worth it in the long run. My goal is to have at least one album at the end of my Senior year, but that may be impossible.
I've uploaded tons of pictures (including the album covers) so all of you can get a feel for who I am, I guess. Comment, pleaase. I'd love to hear some of your input.
I might even make a few banners sometime soon. Who knows.
I've added all of my friends on my personal account ,(myspace.com/gorgeous_chaos), except for the ones who wouldn't allow bands to add them. This should help getting some fans and musicians who support me.
I'm hoping to gain a fan-base, but who knows. I'm just going to say that I'll reply to comments and messages and be very grateful for your interest in my music.
Anyway, I need to work on my math homework. I'm taking a Linear and Probability math course at Flathead Valley Community College, and we're covering a month's worth of material in a week. I think I'm about 5 or 6 sections behind... eh.
Thanks if you've read all this, or at least looked at some of my music. Really.
-Angela

I need to re-record "Sun and Star Shine" with a better mic, but that's all I had to work with today. And so in result it is a really shitty recording.
HOWEVER it's dedicated to somebody very special to me, and I really don't think he cares if the quality is 100% perfect or not.
As for the other song, "Get Happy," the quality is fifty times better. However, it was recorded a little less than a year ago.
Quality or not, I like "Star and Sun Shine" better.
I'm thinking about uploading my "Devil" song. My voice is sort of creepy and off pitch most of the time, but I think it sort of sounds cool. I'll ask around for opinions, and we'll see if I'll upload it or not.
Keep your ears open.

If any of you are a friend on my personal account (myspace.com/gorgeous_chaos) you will be very aware that I blog constantly on it. For some reason, however, I barely blog on this, and music is one of my true loves!
I have come to the conclusion that I direly need to post some new music, (as in June 2008 new), and that I really need to get my own recording studio and record something. I need a lot of things.
List of what Angie "needs" as a musician: - Decent computer... perhaps even a Macintosh. - Recording studio equipment (ProTools, Pre-Amp, Monitors, "Connective" cords (there is a technical term for it but I fail), Microphones, etc). - Piano and voice lessons. - A lot of fans. - And places to play in.
I'm hoping to get my big girl boots on and try to find places to play at. I'm mostly just afraid to perform because I haven't done it a whole lot, but what can you do. There's a first time for everything.
I'll try to keep you posted, but I can't promise anything.
Just listen.

I created a very whiny and simple song called "Fake Reality" back in the day,( a year or two ago), if some people remember that title.
I am pretty set on creating a very different version of this song. If some of you have heard "Fake Reality," you will know by listening to the demo how different it is.
It’s about the same person. But different feelings.
Enjoy.
Other songs may come your way because I am auditioning for grammy camp, http://www.grammyintheschools.com.
I am immensely excited and just as scared for it.

Just listen...

After sacrificing precious hours of my reading time, I finally finished my layout. It takes a lot fucking time to manipulate it and make it the way I want it to. Gurr.
As for other updates, the upcoming song I'm working on was delayed because of Perez neglecting to bring the piano back. -sigh- I need to write a 3rd verse, and I might have to rewrite the bridge. Gurr.
Well, I am off to read something pleasant. Goodnight =]
