The National Quartet Convention for 2009 has come and gone like a tornado! We spent the last week in Louisville for the NQC and it began with a singing on Sunday in Georgetown, an interview first thing Monday morning with Paul Heil of The Gospel Greats, the Featured Artist Showcase that afternoon, then a whole week of music and working our booth, interviews for radio and tv, ending with a singing last night in Oak Grove, KY!

Just finished the latest CD - The Quicks Remix. Catchy title, huh? We took some favorite songs from our first two albums which included older daughter Rachel and added some punch and you get "THE QUICKS REMIX! You can order online at www.thequicksonline.com! Headed to Louisville for the National Quartet Convention September 13-19 at the Kentucky Fair and Expo Center. The Quicks will be at Booth 661 and also appearing in the Featured Artist Showcase on Monday Sept. 14th at 2:00 pm. The NQC is the largest Gospel music show and one you don't want to miss!
Working on a hymn album - tracking done - and will get busy after NQC.
First grandbaby due Sept. 26 - Rachel and Aaron are expecting and we all anticipate the arrival of "Braxton Wells Rich" very soon!

HOLLA.
This is Rebecca. Rebecca Quick.
Today was a pretty cool day. We (as in The Quicks) went to Opry Mills... got to hang out with The Weatherford clan. It was way too fun! We love them. A lot.
I rode a carousel, too... that was INSANE. Well, I didn't ride it by myself... Steve and Skylar (Weatherford) were on it, too. But still. I felt like a small child, which was thrilling.
We've been having some crazy weather out here... which is stupid. Tornadoes and lightning are DUMB.
Ooo! Here's a movie recommendation! Taken. Now that's a cool movie. There's a lot of guns and fighting and revenge. If you are into that kind of junk... watch Taken. Ha.
Well, I think I've blabbed enough. And I think I need to go start Season 4 of LOST. So... farewell, MySpacers.

Wow, it has really been raining today! We managed to get out in it though to go to the movies - Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. Haha - how funny. Of course, one of my favorite movies is A Christmas Carol, so this modern day version worked for me. Beck is in the middle of finals of her second year at MTSU - woohoo! Tim's breathing down to 26% but he still sings just fine. Apparently an asmatic factor has kicked in and is being treated. He's doing better already! I'm enjoying songwriting in addition to working on our hymn album. The ball is rolling on Beck's little surprise as well.
