It is my great pleasure and honor to announce that The Freddie Long Band was recently nominated for three Washington Area Music Awards, otherwise known as The Wammies! Nominations include 'New Artist of the Year', 'Best Debut Recording', and 'Best Rock Instrumentalist' (lead guitar player Christopher Bell-Boudreaux).

We encourage everyone who is a voting member of The Washington Area Music Association (http://wamadc.com/) to vote for The Freddie Long Band in the above categories. The FLB appears on the Frederick Comcast Channel 10 show Backstage Pass for an interview and special acoustic trio performances of a handful of songs. Here are the air dates and times that remain:

The FLB's song 'Blanket', from their debut album 'Strangers and Friends', has been selected for inclusion on the 2007 Rock-CAN-Roll compilation CD to benefit autism research. The compilation is being sold and distributed in conjunction with the Autism Speaks/Cure Autism Now Foundation, The Original Music Association of Philadelphia, and Ride Now Philadelphia, an annual world-class motorcycling event dedicated to raising funds for autism research and raising awareness for autism spectrum disorders.

The Freddie Long Band is very excited to be included on the compilation along with 15 other great artists, and encourages you to order a copy to show your support and make a contribution. The compilations are only $10 each, and can be ordered at http://www.rock-can-roll.com/.
