It's crazy guys but we just sold out our latest batch of tshirts that the guys from Wearenvy (myspace.com/wearenvy) started selling at Urbanscapes. So that's 120 pieces sold to date. That's at least 120 fans out there. Wowee!
On another note, the band will be going on an undetermined hiatus, we won't be playing any shows for awhile, taking a loooooooong break until we feel a creative rush again, so look out for it ok?
Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanks.

Current mood: busy
Our next show will be on June 28th. Sorry but we've been rejecting invitations to play shows right left and centre, for the simple fact that we're not ready.
Ready for what?
For starters. We are totally changing our music. No more old songs. And then, we'll be having back some of our old familiar faces into the band. You'd be surprised.
It will be like a rebirth.
Also, we'll be reproducing the ABCDEFGHIJKLPHQRSTUVWXYZ tshirts in very limited quantities. Check out Wearenvy's myspace for more info ok?
We're so excited about our new sound, new direction, new songs. And so should you.

Happy New Year!
To answer the many questions regarding our t-shirts— our nice t-shirts are made by the kind people at WRNV/wearenvy, and are available at many t-shirt related events around town or at gigs where we play.
we made 40 of these tshirts, but unfortunately only around 10 remain, and they're all L sizes. you can either get them straight from the WRNV guys thru their myspace, http://www.myspace.com/wearenvy, or you can get them at the aforementioned events.
our next batch of tshirts will be coming out soon so look out for further announcements. :)

As some of you might know, we've had a major line-up reshuffle recently. We found a new drummer in Faris, who's been playing in other bands and such.
We have a few shows lined up, including the long-awaited second instalment of Motion Picture Soundtrack. Our first show with the new lineup however is going to be in Singapore, at the Esplanade on 27th October. So if you're Singaporean or you happen to be in Singapore at that time, please make your way to the Esplanade Powerhouse stage. we're playing at 10pm for 45 minutes, with quite a few new songs..
Talking about new songs, the new direction of the band is slightly different. We're still implementing post-rock influences, but the new songs are considerably heavier and deeper, as some of you might have seen during our set in Rock The World last year... It's still definitely the KLPHQ sound as most of you are familiar with, but we decided to push ourselves further with the new material.
As far as recording is concerned, since we just got ourselves a new drummer, its been pushed back considerably. we were planning to record in september, but we dont think we're in a position to record anything at the moment.
we're still sticking to some of our old songs, but with a twist. to find out more please do check out any of our upcoming shows! you might find yourself with a KLPHQ tshirt as well!

We made it to the pages of silentballet.com based on the strength of one of our tracks that was taken off a performance at Baybeats Singapore in 2005. You can check out the link here:

And yes, we will be entering the recording studios in the middle of this month, we figured that now is a good time as any. We're planning to record 5 tracks live, and whether or not those recordings will be released will basically pretty much depend on how crappy it turns out.
In the meantime, there's a lot of our live bootleg recordings around, and if you can make it, please come to our upcoming shows. If we live to far from you, then why not bring us there? *hint hint*
Until our next update, cheerios!

We're really excited to play this Friday at Bodysurf's 10th Anniversary Gig (wow has it been that long?). We will be playing at least 5 songs, 3 of which we played a couple of weeks ago at Little Havana. They're all new songs, pretty much in the same vein as our previous songs, mixing optimism with a tinge of doom and despair.
Something like what you'd get if Explosions in The Sky went out on a date with Corrupted. Or maybe just something like Isis or Pelican. Or maybe neither.
Some people might say post-rock is dated or 'un'-trendy, (or maybe just too trendy to be embraced by kids), but it excites me to see completely different directions being taken by post-rock bands here in Malaysia (eventhough they dont want to be labelled as post-rock). I believe we have gone a long way since Damn Dirty Apes' "Valve State Dreams", where bands here pretty much a directed focus in where they're headed, and the bands pretty much sound different from each other, even though we're/they're being heaped in the 'post-rock' category.
I guess we'll see a lot of you this Friday, and don't forget to say hi!

Current mood: calm
As some of you has already known, KLPHQ has been lying dormant since our last show at Rock the World last December. Reason being, well, we've had a major shuffle in the line-up.
But fret not, the band is complete once again, and we will be having our first show in 6 months at next month's Moonshine, at Laundry (check out our live shows listing for the full info). its going to be exciting, with a few surprises in store :)
we've got a few more shows coming in july onwards, with shows in singapore as well, and we're planning to go down to indonesia for a minitour.
keep your eyes peeled! :)

As some of you might already know, Piut has left the band. We are now looking for a new guitarist to fill in his shoes, please PM us if you're interested to try out.
We've cancelled a few shows these past months (last I counted it was 5 shows), but we will be back in full force in May. Lookout also for the much-delayed sequel to Motion Picture Soundtrack!! Details will be up really soon.
p/s we need sponsors to pay for our flights to California in 2008. Can anybody help?

We're going to play a show at MMU Cyberjaya on the 16th of July. Details are really sketchy at the moment, but from what we know, Deepset (currently one of my favorite bands) will be performing as well.
Considering this is our first show back on homeground in awhile, we've decided to put up something special for you guys. Perhaps even a part of KLPHQ that you can finally bring back home. Well, to know, you have to be there to find out, right?
So mark your calendars and hopefully see you guys there!
