Holy shit my hands are freezing, I'm typing this like an animal with no limbs. Like a snake perhaps. Or maybe the snake itself is just one big limb, and will soon attatch itself to another animal like in Power Rangers but with animals instead.

...I'll keep an eye out for that

Soooo we have Twitter and now I'm writing amazing things on it so you should DEFINALTEYERYEY (i got bored spelling that due to cold hands) follow us and see what's going on.

For example, right now I'm being cold playing the new Modern Warfare (who isnt). Although I'm pretty sick at it, and will be hitting the multiplayer as soon as ive completed the story mode. Feel free to add me and we can shoot at eachother and run around in circles.

Also, we have a few bits of merch left before we get a whole new re order and super duper new designs so check out what we have and get one to show off to your 8000 friends on facebook!

Sweet! I'm making a new photo blog tonight that everyone can look at and realise just how ginger Hatties hair is and just how damn funny Aung can be sometimes. Sweet!

Good work.

Also, massive thanks to all the cool and uncool kids who came down to see myself and Gary YAY play some songs what with the DJ boxes last night. We had a great time (i think anyway, i dont remember much) and everyone should check out To The Floor next week cos' it'll be reet good.

Yeah i reckon that just abouts covers it, I'm inside on Fireworks night, what a fool. Although myself and our roadie/tech/man Ed bought a £40 firework that can only be described as some sort of missle and set it off. But it was crap. Unincredible scenes.

Heyho!

First up, we're playing an acoustic(ish) stripped down unplugged style show tomorrow night, Friday Oct 2nd, at the Unitarian Church in Brighton. It's FREE and all ages, and we're on at 9.40ish. It's going to be a really special evening and we're very excited to be doing something a little different!

On Monday we're off back into the recording studio to start putting down some new songs. The new stuff is sounding great, I think - perhaps the best we've ever written. We've been playing a few songs live and people seem to like them as much as we do, so that's nice eh?

And then... next Thursday, the Funeral For A Friend tour starts! We're opening, and Save Your Breath are going on after us - it promises to be a real treat of a tour, and the shows are selling fast - so if you've not done so already, go forth and purchase your tickets! We are playing the following dates:

8th Oct 2009 The Lemongrove Exeter
9th Oct 2009 Concorde 2      Brighton
10th Oct 2009 Academy Manchester
12th Oct 2009 Cresset Peterborough
14th Oct 2009 KOKO     London
15th Oct 2009 The Forum     Hatfield
16th Oct 2009 O2 Academy 2Oxford
18th Oct 2009 The Box Yeovil

So lovers... that's about it for now!

In association with BBC Introducing we will be playing a unique acoustic set.

This will include stripped down acoustic versions of songs (with our very good friend Rob Webb adding in some violin) from our album, as well as some brand new songs - never before heard by anyone!

We're really excited...not least because it will all take place in the Unitarian Church .... how good is that going to sound??!

This all takes place on 2nd Oct and it is absolutely FREE to get in.  Finally, this is an ALL AGES show.

Good times.  xxx

Hurray!

If being in Germany, dancing at electro clubs and hearing Gary speak 'German' (?!) wasn't enough to keep us happy, Eagles Of Death Metal have just confirmed us as support for some more shows!

10.27.09      Oxford O2 Academy
10.28.09     Norwich UEA
10.29.09     Liverpool O2 Academy
11.28.09     Dudley JB’s
11.29.09     Middlesborough Empire

We really like EODM. I'm infatuated with Jesse's moustache. I think about it quite a lot, in fact.

So, Gary's German speaking fails... here are a few.

He asked a friend if we could borrow a key for his flat, only, instead of saying 'key', he asked for a bowling ball.

He also made a sign for our tote bags that we sell on our merch stand that read -

'SACKEN'.

The German for bag is not sacken. It is taschen.

Conclusion? Gary doesn't actually speak German. He just puts 'en' on the end of words and lowers his voice a few notes. Oh and spits more when he speaks.

We're playing with Rival Schools in Cologne tomorrow, and then Amsterdam on Monday! Amazing. I've never been to Amsterdam...can you tell us some good places to go...?

Oh, and we have a new song called 'I'm Scared Of The Sea'.

Love,
Hattie
