It's late Sunday night and I finally had some time to write this blog..
First off, I wanted to write a little review about our most recent adventure in Denver, Colorado at a Halloween massive called, "Carnevil." (Oct 31st, 2009)
If you've never been to the Denver International Airport, that place is huge! It's got an internal subway system and all! I remember how confused we were the very first time we flew to Denver back in 2007..lol
But we got it under control now ; )
Carnevil was a massive turn out! There had to be like 5 to 6 thousand people there. We played a much earlier set than we are used to (normally we play during the peak hours of the night), but to our surprise, we had a huge crowd in front of us, all eagerly waiting to move and shake to our beats! It was off the chain

They were feelin our vibe, feelin our energy and most importantly, feelin our music! We had a great time and we gotta thank everyone who came out to support us, cuz you guys mean everything to us. We've gotten so much positive feedback, so thank you all!

I have to say that the guys at Party Hardy Entertainment have been working real hard to bring bigger and better parties to the 303. Such great guys and so much fun to work with. They've brought us out a few times now and we really love performing for them. We encourage everyone to support what they do.
So what's new with the Verdugo Brothers??? Lots of things... = )My bro and I have been working so hard to improve our sound quality. Studying the art and science of sound engineering, implementing various techniques and looking for the best plug-ins on a budget! lol It's been quite a journey and I have to say that we
finally feel like our music is at an acceptable level. Although, whenever we compare our stuff to guys like Deadmau5, there are always improvements to be made, so it's a never ending quest

But we're having a lot of fun and we've got a lot of new music to share with the world real soon!
Just recently, Chelsea Bella, a super talented vocalist from the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas flew in to stay with us for a few days, so we could work on some music for our upcoming album. We did a song together called, "Your Kiss" and the response has been awesome! We had a blast working together in the studio. What an amazing voice and so much fun to work with! We're very lucky to have such good chemistry in the studio together too cuz sometimes that makes all the difference. Aside from having a great personality, she is truly driven by her passion for music and that's a page right out of our own book! ; )
We've also been working with another truly gifted vocalist/producer, Mina Fedora. We remixed a song of hers called, "All Okay," and the feedback we have been getting from everyone who has heard it thus far is HUGE! I mean, people just love it! Mina Fedora is this amazingly talented artist from Henderson, Kentucky. A town we had never even heard of prior to working with her. But wow...you just never know who's out there, right? In addition to being a singer, she also produces her own beats, which is just so kool! We're so blessed to be working with Mina on our upcoming album as well. We've got a lot of joint projects that are in the works right now, so we're super excited.
As for the song, "All Okay," it is currently being shopped to various major labels, as well as "Your Kiss" and so it's not available just yet, but definitely keep an eye out for it!
Again, I just have to reiterate how happy, how lucky and how truly blessed we are to have crossed paths with these two amazingly gifted individuals. It is truly humbling and so inspiring to work with such talent. Btw, we both agree that this cosmic connection was no accident. This was meant to be....We cannot wait to create more and more beautiful music with these two!

Did I tell you that we are forming groups with both of these vocalists?...Yep, that's how much we love them both!

Stay tuned for that one!
We've also got some new music coming soon from our collaborations with two other amazingly talented vocalists, Sue Cho from Los Angeles, CA and Ray Isaac from Sydney, Australia. These two are friggin awesome and so truly passionate about what they do. It's such a privilege to be working with so many talented individuals from around the globe. Be on the look out for "True Colours" (Ray Isaac and the Verdugo Brothers) and "Dance Under the Moonlight" (Sue Cho and the Verdugo Brothers)
Just a side note:
When musicians find eachother like this and are able to come together and create music that reaches deep and truly moves the soul, it just floods your heart with happiness. This is what we live for...
So, what else?Hopefully, you will be seeing more of us in the coming months. Contact your local club owners/promoters and let them know you want to see us in your city. Sometimes promoters get too busy to look for other artists/performers, so they tend to book the same names....Don't be afraid to help them help you ; )
We're really looking forward to completing our debut artist album, which will feature everything from House/Techno to Hip-Hop/R&B to Acoustic and Trip-Hop! There will definitely be something on there for everyone to savor.
We're also looking forward to performing with Mina Fedora, Chelsea Bella, Sue Cho and anyone else who may cross our path in the near future. Audiences will be electrified!
Oh and lastly, we are now adding Hip-Hop/Top 40/Club Hits to our performance. Yep! So if you are a promoter who is interested in us, but is apprehensive about booking us because we are House DJs, not to worry. We can rock Hip-Hop just as good as anyone out there. Not many know this, but we held a residency at a club called "Element" in downtown Sacramento for about a year straight, where we played Hip-Hop every Saturday night. It was a lot of fun!!

SUBSCRIBE TO OUR BLOG! We plan to keep this going!!!
Thank you guys for stoppin by to read this! Much Love to you all!
