I don't know if many of you guys Twitter but I started doing it and it's pretty sweet.

Hello all!

I have wanted to change the name from found yesterday to something else for quite some time... I thought I would be adventurous and just go for it - so I did!

Not to say I didn't love the name found yesterday... I did. It actually has a very interesting story behind it but I am ready for a change. I will still be the same guy behind the music and my style won't change or anything.

I hope to make this year very productive and will be periodically releasing tracks from the album upon completion. I appreciate every kind word that I get and hope that you all are sharing the word about the music with your friends/family/co workers.

I will be working on a band website to follow suit and will have to update all my hyperlinks (but will continue to use myspace.com/foundyesterday for a period of time while I transition to the new name)

Just as an update - I have been gathering new gear in my home studio and plan on making this album as great as possible, it has taken this long because I am spending many hours on each track making sure it sounds great.

Please please please I love suggestions and comments. Let me know what you think or if you want something new or different. I will also try to get some more video youtube's in (but I may have to open a new youtube account for the Joey Lea Band content.)

I hope to keep you guys more informed as my music progresses.

Coldplay Cover!

Hey all, long time no talk.

I am excited to start posting some updates and get some real music back on this page.

Check out the new song: Field of Land Mines - which is at the bottom of my playlist (thanks to myspace's wonderful new flash player)

This is the first good song that I am proud to have written for the upcoming album The Journey - so spread the word, spread the link, and let people know of some good winter music (aka found yesterday ;)... thanks!)

PS I am mad at myspace because while other big artists can put up all their albums I can only upload 6 songs (discrimination anyone?...) - Thanks for making it even harder for smaller acts to get their music out there...

I just added two new demos to the playlist... BUT they may not stay up there for long... Just a taste of what is to come with the next album - as I am working on it... (I promise!)

Hey all. I have been working daily in the new studio trying to make this next album a great one. I have come to the conclusion that this is album has too much variety to fit into one genera (but if I must - I would say it is much more indie pop rock than acoustic). I have spent days / weeks on a single song and the process is going MUCH slower than I had expected (on the last album I could finish a song within 2 - 3 days.)

I will still put some of the new songs on this myspace - but some are going to go unreleased so you can hear them only on the album (a bonus to buy it...).

On a side note, there were a few songs labeled as if they were going to be featured on the next album - yet - many of them are not going to placed on the album and are going to be released for free as B-Sides. Leading up to the actual release date there will be more information about these tracks, but I plan on putting a link to where you can download all of the B-Side tracks that didn't make it on the album for free here on myspace. A quick rough list of these tracks is: You've Got, Losing Control, Fights, and She Is Lonely, and possibly more.

I have only a few songs for the album completed so it may be quite a few more months - bear with me and expect some great tunes.

Hello all. I am pretty excited because in the next 8 days I am going to be 19. It's crazy to think how fast last year really went - I remember turning 18 like it was yesterday. Anyways I thought for my birthday I would do something cool for everyone that listens to the music so... check out my myspace on May 1st and you will get a free downloadable copy of Life Is Direction - my first album release.

In return I'd appreciate it if you guys could put a Found Yesterday song on your myspace - or burn that downloadable copy of Life Is Direction for a friend - or two! Just please spread the word because I can't do it without any of you...

On a positive note, recently I wrote a song for a organization that is going to use it for their video promoting hope to drug/alcohol victims. I have retained rights to the song so it may appear on the playlist shortly.

(which I have tentatively titled "The Journey") I am still sketchy about most of the tracks and possibly none of them will be on the album but... by October I will have something definite and I will release it here first. Okay... well I was really relieved when I finished and got the first album out there... There has been some positive feedback on iTunes which is great and I really appreciate anyone that has bought it... or is going to buy it in the future...

I want to also say that I am current back writing more material for the next album. I have titled it The Journey, and it will again focus on my experiences that I left out of Life Is Direction... I have already finished two songs from the new album (The Journey, and You've Got...) I have a general idea of the next few songs that will be coming out as well but I don't want every suprise to be ruinied...

I really wish that I could get some hype going about this new album perhaps new banners, or any form of online promotion. The album sales themselves don't mean much to me in terms of money rather they reflect how well the artist is... and how big the fan base... so I need to work hard to keep getting new listeners everday... But you can help! If you like found yesterday or any of the music just leave comments or tell a few people... a banner works well to attract some attention too.

Anything you can do to help would be awesome...
