In January 2007 trough a web ad were contacted Rafa Marmulesky(guitar), Ezequiel Climent(guitar) along a drummer (the author of the ad). After a few months of rehearsal together, they found that shared the same influences, way to play and compose. Later on, the guitar players decide to leave that project and create a new one among them because of musical differences with the drummer. They rented a place to rehearse in the Vendrell(Tarragona), after a while and facing summer record 4 themes in a little studio of Roda de Bará(Canallas productions) with a digital battery and the bass recorded by themselves. With a more than acceptable result and all kind of critics on the web. After several tryouts for bassists, drummers and singers but always wishing for a female singer on top of the group, find Alicia Cortés(with a middle guttural voice and an exceptional melodic) that at the end of the year was the first singer and the image of the group but abandoned the group months later (despite our sorrow) in January 2008 for personal reasons and Jose, a drummer that were with us (through the winter 2007) and that had to leave because he didn’t have the expertise but mostly because he didn’t want to have guttural voice as the main voice… To them we give our thanks cause we will not be where we are without their crossing through “So cruel” and we wish them the best in their respective projects.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />....

But as the saying goes “ renew or die.. ”....

We renewed the image of the group, photography’s, publicity, etc. and hanging the themes from the space again without a voice waiting for new members…. After months of rehearsals and a very good welcome in the net from the beginning…. Arrived Miguel Munera, a colombian with a good and versatile guttural voice register with a melodic and tearing voice and Deborah Blasco, with a young melodic voice but with an undeniable strength of which I am most proud because she is my cousin…(a great discovery) to employ her as a special collaborator for chorus and intros… and Miguel as main voice… but unfortunately some time after Miguel had to leave the group for dire personal motives outside of the group and leaving the doors open to come back and collaborate with us later… to whom Rafa and I thank deeply for all his time invested and we dedicate a video as a homage.....

Luckily with the exit of Miguel… entered Javi who has been a surprise because of hi early age and incredible talent(a guttural register darker and deeper to the deepest strident and tearing yell.. together with a melodic that even that has not the same level as his other registers… points in many ways…) At the same time and as a double strike of luck Manol found us, a bassist with a lot of experience and musical knowledge and even to say the best person that from the first day has showed his effort, dedication and commitment in every rehearsal… making his own and well achieved place inside the group.....
With 4 members(Ezequiel, Rafa, Manol and Javi) in the group and with the wish and illusion to be able to voice the themes we decide to go to the same studio a year after the firs time(12-Jul-08) and we are very satisfied with the results but with the certainty that once the group is definitely formed we can really show what “So Cruel” can give. We still lack the drummer but while we can digitally replace it… nothing can stop us!!! Meanwhile we count with the unconditional collaboration of Deborah for intros and chorus in the studio.....
