So after 5 years, From Aphony is officially done. Almost all of us are in college and other bands at this point, so we just feel that it is time to move on and focus on other things. We want to thank everyone who has helped and supported us through the years. And we want to apologize to the girl who got our name tattooed on her arm. Seriously, sorry! We got 3 confirmed last shows and are trying to book a few more before all is said and done. Please come out and see us one last time because we would love to see all of you again!

Conversation Blackout:

This is why i love doing what i be doin. For every crap ass disc i get a diamond in the rough like this appears in a minalla envelope smelling of pine and postal glue. From Aphony is some catchy ass melodies with some sick pop metalcore and tons of fashion for measure. Leave it to this 5 peice from seatle to make me feel old at 21. Not sure about the age of these dudes, but by the picture i get in my digipak my assumption leads to numbers like 15 or 16 (dudes, if your actually like 28 then i am extremly sorry). Each song on this 6 song ep is able to hold its own against the other tracks. Track 1 "She runs on alcohol" sounds like their trying to shove a gallon of music into a quarts worth of space. Big time catchy buisness and sweet double bass work. Track 4 "Fate loves the fearless" is much akin to the sound of a typical feuled by ramen band, putting the vocals out in front as the main instrument used on the song. i would strongly recomend this ep to anyone that is super pissed that acceptance broke up or cant find away to fit enough panic! at the disco into their diet. Looking forward to everything else these guys come up with, their discography should be strong to fairly strong by the time they reach drinking age.

Builders, Wreckers, Lovers and Takers:

Its no secret that i thought this bands latest release "Conversation Blackout" was a def pickup. Great Pop metal thru and thru. This album is less solid and can kind of drag at points with the chugga chugga, But as far as pop metal goes its still high on the list. One of the bands best songs ever is on this disc, "Love by way of Hollywood" is worth the purchase right there. Other great tracks include the Damn fine riffing of track 3 "Tell it to the dead", A song Atreyu would be proud to sport on one of their discs, and "Go for it, falcor" with its more hardcore then metal sound. The lead singer of this band has an incredible voice for a kid and belts out some impressive tones all over this CD. The lower production values will turn some people off of this release and instead find them purchasing From aphony's new OUTSTANDING EP. If there is one good thing that comes out of this disc, its the fact that each release by these kids gets better, and if this continues, then the next album they make will break them out worse then the acne of that fat kid that works at little ceasers

Our review in this March's AMP magazine:

"From Aphony
'Builders, Wreckers, Lovers and Takers'
CD
The singer for this band's voice is a clone for the GATSBY'S AMERICAN DREAM singer. Crazy shit. Anyway, it's melodic hardcore meets metal. Not my favorite genre, but i'll tell you, this is pretty damn good. Really catchy, and the vocals are really strong. That's probably what seperates this from the rest of the bands doing this, the strong voice. Definitely worth picking up. (MWB)"

Take it easy guys!
