Before you say..SO WHAT!! please take a second to read this.

Some people may already know this, but a little over a year ago I was sidelined with multiple surguries....It was a Cancer scare that I made it thru. The recovery took a full year of mostly being in the bed and not much else. During that time I a chance to think about my life and how lucky I was to be 'Healthy'.

During my many trips to the Cancer research facility I couldnt help but notice the people that were not as lucky as me. The side effects of the treatment (as im sure you all know) causes hair loss. Young, old, black,White,Asian,Hispanic...any and everyone.

Ive gotten a lot of work over the years due to my hair, shot with great photographers and hairshows with sum of the top stylist in the US...... but I thought it would serve others better.

I had it cut to donate it to "locks for love" (
http://www.locksoflove.org ) A non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvataged kids, who have long term medical related hair loss.

I just want to encourage others to help any way that they can. It's not always about money ( or which charity you decide to support ) It could jus be an hour of your time that you donate that could change someones quality of life.

The first time I was confronted with someone who had lost their hair, I decided to grow mine out just so I could donate it......

This quick video was sent ot me by a friend who read my 'hair cut story'. It illustrates my point. so clearly.... http://www.msemerald.com/hair.wmv

Well, The magazine hit the stands on my Birthday, which was really cool (April 18th) and features yours truly in a full feature article titled:

"Emerald Ignacio: She's Danica Patricks match on and off the Road"

Danica is my hero when it comes to the Automotive world. I watched her move up the ranks before she signed on with the Big boys and Danica mania was created.

I respect what she's done for females in MotorSports, so its really cool to have my name even mentioned like that.......I will get on that level as a Driver one day....soon

Thanks for the support everyone!!!!!!

Got the Lexus a new heart....and it's beating! :)  3 engines in 2 years.

No body can seem to figure out what  went wrong with the last JDM 1uzfe that I turbo charged. Ive been scratching my head for a while. I suspect it was the HKS electronic boost control.... not really sure tho :(

The new engine has about 40k. there were images of the dash so im pretty satisfied. Cant go over 65mph for the first 1000 miles. Lets see if that will happen LoL!!

sounds like a truck because the turbo stuff is still in there, so I had to bypass the exhause and run straight (temporary) pipe  untill the 'break in' is complete.

As far as the turbo system: Im not sure if I wanna put it back on. This was unexpected and cost a pretty penny to have this new engine changed to us spec/installed. On the other hand: The T66 pulled  sooooo hard!! I put in a solid 3 months fabricating, welding and designing the turbo system...I dont wanna waste the parts and time....plus I had to hack the underside a lot to get everything to work.

If I do re-boost my main focus will be reducing the piping connections, as they failed a few times before i welded a bead on the edges.

- or just build carbon fiber intercooler piping throughout the system...time con$uming tho :(

- Switch to a good manual boost control

- Use stainless steel oil lines. I had to use the Aroquip socketless because I didnt know how long the lines needed to be. I just bought a bunch and cut to size ;) The lines failed 2wice under heavy  boost....not good

Ive got to put a few miles on her before tearing it back down and inspecting the internals....then boost again, maybe.

Ive been getting a lot of emails about this car. Its not new.  It's been like this for 2years. I finished it and got burned out with the car....plus I started building Drift cars and try to get out driving as much as I can.

Why the recent photos were 'leaked'? - The car will be up for sale soon. I dont have room in the garage for it and its too nice to part outside when I take on new 'projects'.

BTW: The curent pictures that people are viewing... are old as well ;)

Current mood:  anxious

Well, I ended up removing the turbo kit...BUT I found a complete engine with 40k on it at a shop. I just took the car up there for the install...

I guess I'll be selling the spare block now

Having the T66 was really nice and pulled hard  but im not sure If I'll boost it again...too much of a headache @ times and im spending way too much on this car.     Plus Ive got 2 other turbo'd cars....

I dunno...get car working and decide later

*Should* have the car back this weekend!!!

Current mood:  chipper

Well, I got my Turbo/intercooler and piping stripped from the old engine. Just have to remove egr system, lower oil pan area, etc....

By the time im ready to put this back together, I'll have all the parts for the 5sp conversion....and more boost!
