We have finally, finally, finally, finished recording our upcoming LP entitled Mercurial which was recorded with Richard Marr over at Galaxy Park Studios in Allston.  The album will feature 8 songs of bedeviling mastery while clocking in at a robust 45 minutes. Needless to say we are pretty psyched, but with the focus on artwork and promotions we are not looking at an official release until about early January or so. However, so as not to leave our homies hanging, we have posted three new tunes here on myspace as well as our website at www.theunderband.com (under sounds).

The Under also has some shows in the works, however the earliest we have confirmed is a CD release show for Hackman along with  We're All Gonna Die in Allston on Saturday 12/13. We will keep you posted on the others.

So reach for that mouse and gets to clickin' fool! Rock awaits.

At the end of June we'll be headed into Galaxy Park Studios in Boston to record our follow up with the legendary Richard Marr. It's a bit early to say whether the fruits of our labor will be another EP, or if we have the gas to churn out a full lengther. Either way look out for some new stuff coming your way late summer.

Singer-guitarist Daniel Costa, bassist Jason Walker and drummer Randy Odierno, a.k.a. The Under, have resurrected the blazing glory days of Van Halen, Rush and Ozzy Osborne in one fell swoop with the release of their astounding 4-song sampler. Costa's fiery spot on arpeggios and soaring single note fret board lines fuel the melodies as Walker and Odierno tether Costa to the ship to keep him from floating wildly into the abyss. Costa's vocals are urgent and manic as he conjures passionate tales of mythology and otherworldly images. There's no band in Boston playing inspired hard rock music like this these days and I highly recommend you check these guys out.
