FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Jake Music Group presents "New:Magic:E.P. - The Aggressive
Soul Remixes" from Crew54 & The Jake
(Dover, NH, Jan. 9, 2009) – The Jake Music Group announced today that the "New:Magic:E.P. - The Aggressive Soul Remixes"
from new artist Crew54 and The Jake will be released online on January 27,
2009. Available exclusively at TheJakeBeats.Blogspot.Com, the album will be
a re-visioning of the Crew54's classic 2007 album "Aggressive
Soul", released by Millennium VII Entertainment.
"New:Magic:E.P. - The Aggressive Soul Remixes" picks up where the earlier genius of Kanye West, 9th
Wonder and Murs left off. "Man, I just loved that rawness and soulfulness of The
College Dropout and 3:16 The 9th Edition, and
the aggressiveness and excitement of the MCs," New Hampshire beatsmith The Jake
emphatically states. "Combining my sample-based beats with a hungry, aggressive
group like Crew54 just made sense to me." Crew54's work has been
featured on popular hip-hop music websites Hip Hop Game, Zilla Says and Black
Man With A Blog.
With a golden-era vibe updated for
today's streets, the first single, "Stay On It" (featuring Lower Life
Form) describes the real grind that goes along with trying to make a name for
yourself: "Trying to take it day by day, but days are getting shorter/We
on the grind in these streets trying to collect supporters," flatly states
G-Christ, while
partner Brew's infectious hook urges his fellow M.C.'s to "stay on
it" all day, every day.
The "New:Magic:E.P. - The Aggressive Soul Remixes" contains 6 solid tracks, all produced
by The Jake. The talented producer has laced tracks for MCs such as
Median (Justus League), Rapsody (9th's - It's a Wonderful World), K-Hill
(Kick-a-Verse), Rashid Hadee (Neblina), D.Rose (Soul Spazm) &, Sene (Shaman
Work). The Jake has also produced songs for rappers with a heavy street
following Lower Life Form, Flow Factory, and Jermiside of the Red Giants.
