Hey guys!

I was recently featured on Spudshow - a podcast from Ireland focusing mainly on unsigned female artists. Although this particular podcast is not in English, it's fun to listen to anyway! check it out:

In the world of pop music, women tend to fall into neat little categories; like rocker girls, folk, dance tarts etc. Sometimes the artist become interchangeable within the genre, that's why Jeannine Hebb's 6 song EP is really a refreshing listen. Its a combination of several styles though nicely piano driven more often then not. Jeannine will draw you in with a voice that isn't too deep nor too high. She's got a pleasant voice that hits all the right notes with the perfect amount of emotion and passion to make the songs worth listening to not once but twice and maybe a few times after that as well.

But it takes more than a good voice to make a good album. Everyone knows that. Its the songs that are important. Jeannine has those.

With a husky almost whisper she sings that its "To Late To Change Me. When she belts out Just Enough For Me, you get a touch of the blues with her pop, and that's just enough for the listener. These two songs alone are proof enough that Jeannine is definitely something special on the musical front and she doesn’t need any fancy trappings to make her stand out. She’s the girl next door with a voice of a diva.

If you had to compare her to anyone you might think Madeleine Peyroux., because she’s got a jazzy style in some areas, but she has enough of a pop edge to make you change your mind. It’s the pop element that lurks in all of her songs that make her stand out. One of the most fun tracks on the EP is Things Haven’t Been So Bad Lately, which is a optimistic song from a pessimistic point of view. The quirky lyrics are pleasing to the ear and will probably work their way into the listeners brain to come out at some time later in the coming days. Yes, listeners, this is a warning. This song is an earworm, but a good one.

There’s not a weak song on the EP and perhaps the only fault of Too Late To Change Me is the fact that its an EP. Six songs are not nearly enough to satisfy. Artists like Jeannine are too few and far between in this very fickle world of music, so when a wonderful listen like this appears, it has to be savored down to the very last note.

If this is just the start of Jeannine’s musical career, the mind only boggles at what she may become 5 or 10 years down the line. Here’s hoping that a label finds her and picks her up so that more people can be exposed to her talent.

Hi Nerds.

Please take some time out of your packed schedules to check out Woozyfly.com. They're my fave new web site, and have done wonders for promoting my music.

They've recently partnered up with Coby electronics, who just released an mp3/video player with a live performance of one of my songs INCLUDED! WOOOO! clap your hands...That means, anyone who purchases the product, will discover a free video of me and the band performing "Just Enough For Me", right when they turn out their cute little device! Hooray!

You could go purchase a Coby video player to get a free video of us...or, you could just go to woozyfly.com/JeannineHebb to see the video minus the couple hundred bucks. More details to come....

So....at our last Bitter End show, I met a lovely lady with a nice video camera. She asked if it was okay to film our performance...and, being the narcissist that I am and loving to see myself on film, I said "of course"!

This woman, Sally Squires, runs a Manhattan television program entitled "Metro Elvis" that showcases live performers doing their thang. We were featured on the show not one, but TWO weeks. The shows aired on Feb. 6th and 13th on Channels 56 and 83. Shame on me for not broadcasting this ahead of time, because I'm sure you're sorry you missed it....

BUT - I'm working on adding some of the footage to this page. So...don't cry. Just check back often and hopefully it will be up soon : )
