Current mood:whatever
So, a few months ago, I hear from a friend that she has been abused by her boyfriend. She infers that this isn't the last time that this kind of thing has happened. Her approximate words, "He has hit me for the last time." In my concern for said friend, I urge her to cut all contact with him. I come to learn that she has and she seemed at the time to have her head on straight. I was really happy for her and very proud because most women return to abusive relationships over and over again. Its a fact. Somehow, I speak to him, the abuser, a few times. He explains his side of the story and he basically states that she hit him first (still no reason to hit a lady!). Okay, so I get another glimpse into this relationship. Later she puts a restraining order on him because he won't stop bothering her. According to her, he was visiting her at her job. I learn through other friends of theirs that even her parents are monitoring her phone calls to him because they don't want her seeing him. For good reason. I also learn that she has another cell phone in order to talk to him. I contact her as soon as I can to ask if these rumors are true. She says no. So, I get mixed stories. Obviously, someone is lying. Meanwhile, he is posting blogs professing his love for her. All of which reminds me of my creepy stalker ex husband. Later conversations with the abuser state that he is using her myspace against her in court. That she is not the "innocent" girl that she makes herself out to be. He also says he is using his phone records with her to get the court to dismiss the restraining order. His conclusion was that she wasn't serious about the restraining order in the first place. So lets jump to the recent Massive rave. I had heard during the time of drama, that they were both going. She inferred that they were going separately and she still wanting nothing to do with him. Lo and behold, guess what I see? Pix of her and him just smiling away, posing for the camera. And its not just one pic, its many. at least 5+. So...my conclusion on friend drama is this. I feel like me and my friends have been taken on a rollercoaster ride of drama. We have given our best in trying to help a friend in need. I feel like no one ever deserves abuse, however, if you keep putting yourself into that situation, what else do you expect? Really? To my friend who needed help: I am angry and sad that you've made some bad decisions. You should have stayed away from him completely. You should have not lied to me and your other friends. I hate saying this, but don't include me in YOUR drama if you aren't serious about it in the first place. Thanks but no thanks to the rollercoaster ride. You have subsequently stopped receiving sympathy from me. ~MoonDawn

I've had a lot of people ask me my future plans for various upcoming events. Unfortunately, I will not be dancing or attending MegaBuzz or anything else until December! School is taking up all my time emotionally, physically and mentally. I honestly can't handle anything but school at the moment. The only luxury I'm permitting myself is the AFI concert on November 22nd (?) tho. I will be fangurling
not dancing that night! haha! I am scheduled to attend an event in Laredo early December. I'm not sure about my plans any other time after that. Its a maybe to Blue Moon and a maybe to IkkiCon. Hope to see you guys out and about! Contact me if you wanna meet up! ~MoonDawn

Current mood: artistic
I have been seriously feeling rather pent up creatively. Since I'm not dancing or dressing up much, my creativity has been all bottled up and it finally exploded Friday night. So here's the story. I've become a huge fan of fan fiction. For many years, I thought fan fiction was corny and lame. I thought those who wrote fan fiction were uberdorks. So, since I've started watching Naruto, I've been dying for more elaboration on the characters and have turned to fan fiction to fill that need. SURPRISINGLY, there are a ton of talented writers out there publishing fan fiction in all genres. I was so amazed at the level of english grammar and spelling. It was fantastic. I've read prolly on the upwards of 30 Naruto stories and prolly ten Final Fantasy VII fan fiction stories. After reading the few Final Fantasy VII stories, I felt that no one was doing the game/movie/characters justice. The level of grammar and english was not very good. Lots of mistakes being made. I was disappointed. So, my creativity bottle popped on Friday night. I felt I had to do the series justice. So...I have started my own Final Fantasy fan fic. It feels so very weird because I never envisioned myself doing this later on in life. I did write fan fiction for Star Wars when I was in high school. I abandoned it for other things, feeling like it was immature in some ways. But now, it has become an outlet for this pent up creativity. I will post the link in case anyone is interested in reading. Honestly, its going to be an action packed romance story and prolly read by mostly gurls. I've got some great reviews already and I'm super syked about the number of people reading it! Wow, in just a few days, it has become a hit! Flames, Dust and Blood, a Final Fantasy VII fan fic. Anyway, there it is. I'm going to be writing a multi chapter story. I will prolly post weekly as time permits. It is so much fun. ~MoonDawn

So, when I got home after Funtastic Voyage 2, I crashed hard. The next morning, I take a shower and well, come to find out, I had hairy armpits for the entirety of FV2. Awesome! I remember someone saying something about a feminist....but I disregarded it because it was such a weird comment, and figured there was no way they were talking about me. LOL. So, if you noticed, I apologize. I apparently need to add that to my checklist of things to do BEFORE I go to an event. Man, I rock. ~MoonDawn

Slowly my relationship with my bf is dissolving. Maybe its a product of having a long-distance relationship. I dunno. I miss him, that is for sure. However, he has needs and so do I. I keep asking myself do I want to stay with someone and save myself for someone who I'm not going to see for several years possibly? I know its silly, but I'm going to be 30 in three years. I feel like I've wasted so much of my young life on one loser, I don't want to do it for someone else who in the end had things more important in life than me. I don't blame him. Careers and life goals come first. Its just sad that I don't fit into those plans. Its safe to say that I'm fairly heartbroken over these unfortunate events.
I don't know where our relationship is going, but it honestly feels as if its going downhill pretty quickly.
If things do go south, well, I'm aiming high for my next conquest. I'm going to date a rockstar LOL Hopefully a Japanese one, but I won't be picky. That would be awesome. :)

Spring Love was awesome! We had one of the best times we've ever had at a rave. It was amazing how many people really took this thing seriously, dressed up and came out to dance their asses off. I saw some really awesome and amazing outfits. I LOVED the robot guys. I thought that was cute and ingenius. All the fairies and uv ravers were cool. Its awesome to know that my style isn't dead LOL. I had a little crush on the guy dressed as a wizard. I have a thing for wizards....*pants* haha It was truly a PLUR event. Everyone was nice and was out to have a damn good time. I've gotta totally step up my game, its been a long time since I've danced out on stage. There were a lot of good dancers there. Austin raves are the bomb! I can't wait for another MASSIVE/Fat Ass party. I hope we get the chance to rock that shit again! ~MoonDawn
