The other day I bought a new toy for the studio. A Line 6 guitar FX unit. After wiping the slobber off of it from drueling on it I set in to try recording with it. I put up on the site a "Heavy" version of " Body Count" . Shades of Iron Butterfly I'd say. Look for some weird stuff to pop up from time to time as I experiment with new sounds. Could be an intresting ride in my musical journey this year!
OLD PEOPLE RULE!!!!!!! well old rockers anyway.{:o)Where's my cane???

I'll offer up a few passing thoughts on New Years and how a thing or two has changed. Years and years ago before we were old enough to buy beer we thought it just wasn't New Years with out something to drink. You know toast in the new year. Why ???? cause we saw everyone else do it and I guess we thought it was what we were sposed to do.Then we grew older and we kicked it up a knoch. It just wasn't New Years till you stumbled drunk into it. Yes we partied hard back then. One observation here if you don't mind. After a while I began to notice some of my friends stumble the whole year and then try to stay clean if you will for the one night only to start up again. I'm not sure who started up the idea of New Years celebrating And don't get me wrong here New Years has It's place even here on the mountain. We don't shoot off anvils or anything like they did a 100 years ago but it is a time for reflection and I do bring it in sober now. Any way .... I wonder if New Years is for some a time for resolution or just revelation. It seems to me now to be a time of fault finding . I'm to this or I'm to that. I'm never going to do that any more or I'm going to give this or that up. LOL Then drink to it to the point of we forgot what we were not going to do anymore. For me this New Years I think I look back a focus on the good things of 2009 and there were many and I'll carry them into 2010. Am I to this or to that???? Yeah I am but I don't need a new year to remind me .I'll deal with those things after the first of the year!LOL  Please be safe and have a great New Year. To old friends that we have drifted apart over the years ,,, I miss you and pray the best for you. You will always hold a place in my heart. To the new friends and old friends who are still there, lets make 2010 a year to remember. To every one who will read this I wish you all A Happy New Year.

Peace -Love and please be safe. David - LMS

Yes It's been a long year and I wont make this as long, As I look back it has been a very intresting year .Many changes have happened that have shaped a direction for many. I wont dig into what I think was downside items today and I'll be really careful about saying what those are when the time comes. Highlight of the year (one of the biggest) getting to finaly meet Valerie Clark my co-writer on the Profunda~Rock Acoustic Journey CD tha also came out this year. Also there have been so many new friends from all around the world added to the site. It has been a blast hearing the sounds of great music from all over the world.Maybe one sad note here ,there are some that have left the site that I will truely miss and have gone the way of the other "book" .Yes I'm there too but plan to keep it a place for family ,church family and folk I may need to get in touch with quick. Any way thank you all for the super comments and visits to the music player and to the site. Over 10,000 either found the blogs intresting or was looking to see the next badly mispelled word. {:o) New chapters in some lives were started this year and I think they will read like a best seller with happy endings. Some I'm afraid will read on like a trashy paperback novel and folks around can't wait to see the next book. We saw pages turned and attemps to close the book forever. Some we saw the begining of the end a long time ago .Some never saw it coming. ( I really don't know what all that just meant but it sounded good.LOL) Well I have rambled long enough here this morning. I wish all of you  a Very Merry Christmas . I'll add to the many great things that happened this year in another blog. Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your world.
Peace and Love ...David

Something just isn't right about the fact I along with so many other americans just a few months back get raped in the stock mkt and then they announce record proffits and bonuses this past week . Am I just missing something here or should we keep having this blind trust. The Idea that if you start with a $100.00 and you expect to gain intrest in an expected period of time and lets say you gain $10.00 and you have $110.00. Then you lose $60.00 of that for reasons you have no controal over. Now you have $50.00. You are told (asked ) to leave it there for the odds are you'll make it back and you do after a longer period of time. Your back to $110.00 and your told to feel good about it. The loss here is not only intrest that should have been earned on the full amount over the full period of time but the stress and worry over losing it all. Then we're made to feel better when we hear "well you only lost this much or you broke even " No I don't have an answer I wish I did.... well here's a thought , What if we gave away what we would have lost to those who really needed it and not to those who already have it all . Lets see what the next two years bring....... Yes I'm on my soapbox. I really don't see getting back the "two" Jaguars( no not real one's just money we thought we would have by this time) we lost in past years. Someone is driving them as a bonus on wall street. I feel better now.
Peace

I posted this on a bulletin and thought ....not everyone can read this there so everyone can read my blogs (nothing to hide){:o) so heres "What sneeks up on a "Tiger"

It's hard to sneek up on a "Tiger". We all ,like him, will find that things kept secret will one day surface and take a bite out of us. Those who throw the most stones usualy have the most to hide. (Oops I judged) Proverbs 9 : 13 -18 says this....

13 A foolish woman is clamorous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing.

14 For she sitteth at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city,

15 To call passengers who go right on their ways:

16 Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: and as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,

17 Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.

18 But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.

The "woman" here.... can be woman, man or anything done in secret that will take us down. Our own worst enemy may be not what we can fight with our hands but secret things we never saw coming ( verse 17). If you believe scripture or not I think these words show a very strong "Truth" in life for today . To be forgiven from be it God or man one must admit falt or at least your share of the issue with out pointing a finger at someone else. To be the victim in this case is one thing. To be the "woman" (secret whatever) Thats a whole different can of worms as we say in the south. I'm not asking you to believe it but just ,,,,think about it.
Peace,..,,,,,David

In a conversation with Valerie Clark (My cowriter) about a month ago we were talking how people don't take responsability for actions that cause others pain or sorrow. I left her with a title for the song you are about to read. I'm not sure I was ready for the content as I read but feel the music was there as the words rolled off the page. Life happens and yes we should openly take our share of the blame.....There's never just one side to an issue.I think I heard this in a song once.. There's your side ,there's my side  and theres the truth in the middle. Wish I'd wrote that.{:o)
Your Share Of The Blame

It was just like us again,
digging bones and raising ghosts
dreaming dreams with our eyes open
when we should’ve kept them closed.
They’re the things we should know better
but the things we didn’t care to know.
You were leaving prints of love
in the sand out by my shore,
catching rays within the sunset
with a hope for something more.
It’s the things I should know better
but the things that any man longs for.
And yeaaahhh!  I fed a spark to that flame….you know.
And yeaaahhh!   It’s time you take your share of the blame.
I’m a secret growing old,
covered up and bought and sold,
living life as nothing happened
in your story never told.
It’s the things that should be better
but the things that never do unfold.
And yeaaahhh!  I fed a spark to that flame….you know.
And yeaaahhh!   It’s time you take your share of the blame.
We all like happy endings -
Fairy tales in life,
and if you would just admit this,
You would end a world of strife.
Cause’ yeaaahhh!  We fed a spark to that flame….you know.
And yeaaahhh!   It’s time you take your share of the blame.

Valerie Clark (The Profunda~Rock Factory)
