Bill. kr. 150,- + bill.avg. 18 år leg. Forsalg på Posten, 7-11 o.l. NB! Tidlig konsertstart. Håper du kan komme!

Current mood: adventurous
The two great french magazines Le Monticule & Elegy gave our second full-lenght INTENTIONS very good reviews. This is what they wrote (only in french):
"Aucun groupe n'a réussi à reproduire un post-hardcore aussi jouissif que celui d'At The Drive-In.
- Thomas Mafrouche - ELEGY MAGAZINE
- Marc Poteaux - LE MONTICULE MAGAZINE

The great english webzine SUBBA-CULTCHA hated everything about us but the music. Here is the review: 4.5/5
RiR CONQUER THE FINE THREAD AND ROCK THE HIGH WIRE Pleasant surprises come few and far between in this game. I was starting to think that music writers can develop a kind of precognitive ability - beyond the usual intuitive understanding gained from cover art, press release and band photo - sense of a CDs content just from holding it. Thankfully, I have been proved wrong. Despite the pigeon journalese press release, truly horrific cover art, label title and Norwegian rock lineage, Rumble In Rhodos are not a shit death/sludge metal band. Neither are they the no-wave influenced post-punk band that press release spoke of. Mercifully, they’re not even a bunch of media posturing emo wannabes. No, they rock.
Intentions is an album layered with tech-rock post-hardcore of the ilk of At The Drive-In and even a little Muse in places forming the backdrop for very Blood Brothers-esque screamo, art-punk vocals. The whole package is then burnished to a frictionless sheen, baby-proofing those sharp corners of their influences, making an accessible rock record for the masses. If this were on a major label, with better cover art, and four more hook-laden tunes to complement the existing eight tracks, it would go gold. It would perform that tightrope walk and go gold while still retaining underground credibility.
It’s a very good record: I‘m just uploading it to my iPod now. - J. CAPELING
