Hey!

To celebrate the wide release of Dig For Fire - A Tribute To PIXIES, we're givng away one of our favorite tracks, that DID NOT end up on the album! Here is what Sean Rayburn, the producer of the album had to say:

"When I approached Elk City about recording a Pixies song, they immediately said yes, but weren't sure about what song to do. After some deliberation, they decided on 'Monkey Gone To Heaven.' When they delivered the track they also had a recording of 'Number 13 Baby' that they'd recorded in a very brief period of time, and decided not to use. I listened to that track, and I was amazed! I told them I wanted both tracks, and I got both tracks.

"The more I listened to 'Number 13 Baby' the more I fell in love with it. It starts off quiet, but then it builds and builds, and about 2:45 into the song, BAM!, you have a real defining moment in Rock and Roll. Renee's vocals are so strong throughout, Sean Eden's guitar work is amazing, and Ray and Barbara just carry them through the whole song. I listen to this track more than any other."

Dig For Fire - A Tribute To PIXIES will be released this coming Tuesday, November 13th, along with a special EP of extra tracks recorded for this tribute! The limited edition first pressing (with extra tracks and 7 inch vinyl) as well as the standard 15-track edition will be released the last week in November.

Sorry for the wait... we really are.  We have a backlog of about 14,000 people waiting to be added, but MySpace doesn't make it easy. Adding just 10 people at a time is a real drag.
