I am witing this blog because I know there are others who feel the same way and truely we are all searching for the same thing in life. Peace, happiness and love. We are all so unique in this world yet all so connected and universally the same in so many ways. We start our lives out as perfect creatures of God, unjaded, pure, open, innocent and needing one thing above all which is love. I have been confused by love, jaded by love, sucked in by love, comforted by love, betrayed by love, had conditional love, unconditional love, torn by love, euphoric with love and almost given up on love. Notice I did say almost...... Love is the one beautiful thing in life we have that brings us the closest to our maker we can ever feel. I never want to loose the hope of unconditional love because that love above all is the purest and most Godly. Sometimes in life we think we are feeling love but it all too often turns out to be other things that take the disguise of love when in fact it is lust , greed and selfishness. Ironically, love is more often felt by how the other person makes you feel about yourself. When someone makes you feel good about yourself you fall in love with that person. Think about it.......you usually really like people who make you feel good about who you are period.... I believe we can only feel the purest of love from another person when we truly love ourselves. Of couse we all have our moments of insecurity. Lord knows I do! But I try to reel that in and remember that God made me exactly the way he saw fit. I remind myself of this often and try to keep my head up and continue a journey of loving myself more and more everyday. We all have people in our lives that try to pull us down and make us feel less than who we are. People do this so they can feel better about themselves which is completly backwards. Family members, friends, co workers etc......Our individual qualites, thoughts, beliefs, life styles and races make us unique and beautful. No one can judge you until they have walked in your shoes......not your family your friends or anyone. Make your own way, find your own truth, be proud of yourself and above all LOVE yourself. Our journey of love begins pure and simple as a child and the world screws us up along the way.....I am on a journey to find my way back to the fearless, open hopeful self loving child that we all once were. Once the circle is complete, love will be there waiting as it always was................

I have not posted a blog in a really long time and actually do not have time to now but I felt the need to get some feeling out so I thought why not share. Sharing myself with anyone is such a challenge for me even when it is in a removed way like this. Anyway, I do want to reach out to some of my fans and supporters who have been asking me when I will be releasing new music. I have been doing so much soul searching over the last year. The soul searching has included a journey through my career and my personal growth. One of the hardest things to do in life is to know when to hold on and when to let go. For me this encompasses many things. On the musical side of life for me it is simple and complicated all at the same time. The simple part is that I will always create music and perform it. In what capacity, who knows? That is up to others and also up to God and what he wants for me in life at this time. I am trying my best to give this up to God and let him lead and guide me down my path. I am writing some songs at this time that Im not sure what style of music they fit into but I am still writing and recording the songs at this time. I really want to make great music for myself right now and for others, who will I'm sure relate in some way to the songs. Im not worried so much about where they will fit into the market. I am sure once the recordings are done I will have a better idea for that. Right now its just about being creative. On a personal note I am also moving forward and figuring out what feelings to hold on to and what to let go of. This can be challenging for all of us at times but so rewarding when you overcome. I'm holding on to the parts of my life that promote growth, freedom of speech, friendship, encouragement, unconditional love and letting go of the parts that cause negativity, mental strife, greed, selfishness and conditional love. I pray the same for all my friends.
Love and peace, Memarie

So I spent the evening with some great women. I had a friend who turned 40 today and it was great spending time with women who have been there and done that. I heard some great advice from women who really have it together in respect to life. I do feel we as women should embrace each other and lift each other up. Men have done this for years. They have always done this with one another instinctively. Women always seem to be in competition with one another. Every female friend I have brings something significant to the table of life. We have to surrender to the fact that there is always someone funnier, someone more put together, someone with better hair, someone prettier, someone smarter, someone more accomplished. Thats always going to be true no matter who you are. Just be comfortable with yourself and really reval in the fact that no one can be as good at being you than you. Embrace other peoples assets that you dont have and let them make you better. Don't be jealous, just be happy that person is good at what they are good at and learn from it. Be happy and blessed that they are your friend. You will teach them and they will teach you. Open your heart and spirit and you will find complete gratitude.

I just wanted to write a brief note to my friends and fans and let you guys know I soooo appreciate all the support you gave me while I was on "Can You Duet". As you may or may not know, last night Kassie and I were eliminated. I do feel like it was a huge accomplishment to have made it as far as we did considering over 6ooo tried out for the show and we were blessed to have made it to 7. Which actually is my lucky number :)....... Im sure I look into things way deeper than need be but yah know ....then again maybe not. Anyway, Kassie and I had a blast performing together! The judges said we looked like two solo artists perfoming together instead of a duo. We were solo artists before we entered the competition so in a sense that statement could be true. We are both entertainers so we focus on entertaining the audience and really connecting with the crowd . That night, I feel we did that well. I really did feel like our voices together were a great pairing and would have loved the chance to have shown the fans of the show what we could do on a ballad together, showing another side of us vocally and emotionally. Maybe in the future, who knows. I loved the time I had working with Kassie and I always wish her the best in her career. Thanks again to all of you who supported my journey on the show. I had a blast!
