Adam the Tree brings you yet another electronic collage with hard beats, whirling FX, and distorted lines brought together in a tight flowing package. "Hard Candy" is a sure underground dance floor pleaser reminiscing in the realm of Old Chicago minimal house. This release is accompanied by a true techno remix from the Midwests very own Stickee Fingerzz and an electro house mix from Brazils Cavalasca.

This release is currently available at Beatport and soon where ever fine dance tracks are sold.

A new compilation, "Indian Electronica /volume 001" featuring my remix of DJ Harsh's "Shanti" will be available September 17th, 2007. More info and links are below.

'Indian Electronica /volume 001'

Featuring 28 tracks on 2 compact discs running a total of 2hrs and 26min

A unique 2-disc compilation featuring independant and established artists from Canada, the USA, UK, France, Switzerland and India

Includes 'Satyagraha' - an exclusive new track by DJ Spooky & Talvin Singh

2 CDs for different moods: disc A is downtempo and relaxing, disc B is uptempo

Toronto, Ontario Canada, July 30th, 2007 - This, the debut title on the 'Indian Electronica' imprint, is a 28 track double-disc CD release featuring an array of artists from around the globe that will take you on a musical journey through the past, present and into the future.  Expect to hear the most innovative uses of South Asian instrumentation, vocals and harmonies mashed-up with dubby basslines, ragga vocals, breakbeats, drum'n'bass and more.

Featuring an array of both independant and established artists, 'Indian Electronica /volume 001' has rich aural texture and represents many perspectives on Diaspora culture around the world through music.

Disc A of the compilation is downtempo and provides a soundtrack for relaxing atmosphere – be it Yoga, exercise, meditation, reading or anything else.  Disc B is more uptempo and suits more active settings – such as driving, running, dance etc...  When played sequentially, the full compilation will take the listener on a musical journey whilst returning them to relaxed familiar ground at its end.

Initially popularised in the mid 1990s with the UK's Asian Underground movement, the music of Indian Electronica is expressive of an increasingly complex global identity.  Indian Electronica music fuses 'East' and 'West' using technology and tradition to produce some of the World's most innovatively emotive and exciting sounds.

The music we publish and promote has truly become a global phenomenon.  Today there are more professional producers and performers around the world than ever before seeking to express Diasporic culture through music.

Audiences from all ethno-cultural backgrounds who can appreciate this music are growing exponentially and internationally - in number and diverse multi-cultural background.

The compilation will be available on exclusive pre-release at the Indian Electronica Festivals in Toronto and London (UK) through the summer of 2007.  Festival details are available online at http://www.indianelectronica.com/festival

As of September 17th, 2007, the compilation will be available for order in CD format through the Post at http://www.indianelectronica.com , with digital downloads on iTunes, Napster and other digital audio sites later in the year!

Ambersound Recordings

After some serious time away from the label with Stroud concentrating on Mining Vinyl, the next release is finally approaching release time. It will be DJ Harsh's "Shanti," featuring remixes from Adam the Tree, and DJ Pain 1. It will make for a very interesting collection of Downtempo Electronica. The release date has been set for March 20.

Hey,

So if you were looking for my website and got this myspace page you may be a little surprised. I am currently between servers and selling my business (LocalSounds.com) so I had to have adamthetree.com redirected for the time being. I should have my site back up in the next few months with more music and content so stay tuned. If you want updates just email adam_the_tree@hotmail.com with the subject line Mailing List and I will jet you out an email as soon as the new shit comes.

Have fun,
-AtT

PS If you were wondering why I am selling my share of Local Sounds the simple answer is, I had time for only one, making music or promoting others music. I am an artist so I chose the latter. Local Sounds is in good hands and I wish them the best of luck.

V/A :: Summer Compilation (Belladonna, CD)

"...The compilation maintains this relaxed, laid back electronic feel. Deep soothing melodies, lazy beats and echoing sound arrangements make for a light and refreshing feel for the first half of the album...."

"Summer Compilation finishes with Adam the Tree with Slow Seduction, a hazy early Autumn style track. Echoes and loops are the basis of this number, resulting in a dizzyingly heady and relaxing laid back climax to the album."

Hello,

I am pleased to announce that I will be having a video made for "Slow Seduction" by SwishFace Productions (http://swishfaceproductions.blogspot.com/). They have total creative control so I am very interested to see how things go and their interpretation of my piece. So it should be done by mid May and when I have a copy I will post it up for you all to enjoy.

Have fun,
-AtT
