We came, we saw, we rocked.  Yes, last Sat night was the debut gig of Hatesa66 and it went off without a hitch.  Well, if you can call without a hitch fucking up half the set. 
The night started with attemtping to get a park somewhere even remotely close to the Old Bar, to load in.  We ended up double parking and did it that way.  Well, hatesa had to.  With thanks to Pat from Wicked City, I only had to load in a couple of cymbals and my snare.  Thanks heaps to Pat for being a champion and trusting us all with his kit. 
As I said, the gig was cool, we played all our new songs and hatesa even got comfortable with being promoted to lead singer.  He's been writing some great songs of late, so it seemed pointless to not put them in the set.  It was a little rough but, on the whole, pretty successful and people even said we were, and I quote, 'ok.' 
Truth from Facts were fucking awesome and Wicked City were just brutal.  Though what can you expect with Patto playing bass!  My teeth were hurting after the set, they were so good.  Didn't stay long enough to see the Bakelite Age, as we had to head on that long, boring trip back down to Geelong.
To sum up: it was a great night and we must do it again sometime.  And if you get the chance (and believe me you should), go see Truth from Facts and Wicked City. 
You won't be disappointed.

There might be a few of you wondering what's been happening in the hatesa66 camp of late.  Though, there might not be. 
Be that as it may, what we've been doing is writing.  And we've got a bunch of killer new songs that we're presently rehearsing up into a set.  We have 20 or so to choose from and, we promise, we're going to play a few of them for you in a couple months time.
So, sit back, enjoy the ride and keep checking back.  We haven't gone anywhere, even if it might seem that way.
