The CW Laredo is looking for volunteers ages 19-23 to be the new faces of the CW!

We want energetic people with a great personality who wanna be on TV.

The CW CreW will be assisting with station promotions such as America's Next Top Model Casting Calls, Community Green Projects, Most Kisssable Lips Contest, WBCA Parade, and many more!

The CW CreW will also be featured in CW commercials.

Laredo CW, Wal-Mart, Keep Laredo Beautiful, and Sames Motor Company are holding their first ever, High School Essay Contest. The theme? Going Green! We want to know students’ ideas on how to reduce litter, beautify the city using xeroscaping, and how we can create Laredo pride.

All high school students are encouraged to enter. Essays must be 500 words or less and must be turned in at our KGNS-TV studios by April 15th!!

Two winners will be crowned "Green King" and "Green Queen" at the LCC Earth Fair on Saturday, April 19th and recieve FREE IPod Nanos valued at appx. $200 each, courtesy of Wal-Mart.

The month of March has been an incredible one for Laredo’s CW!

The month kicked off with "America’s Next Top Model Casting Call" at Mall del Norte. Beautiful and talented ladies came from near and far to compete for a spot on our hit show! Thanks again to all the Laredo ladies who came out and made us proud as always!

Mid-month, Pout Cosmetics announced Allison Hein as this year’s "Most Kissable Lips". Laredo’s CW presented her with an award which entitles her to bragging rights for an entire year! Kim Foster, from Pout Cosmetics also presented Allison with a prize package of amazing make-up and skincare products. Congratulations, Allison!

Recently, our CW Crew made us proud once more at Harley Davidson’s annual Fajita Cook Off. Our chefs took home 3^rd place for their authentic, delicious Mexican recipe, but walked away with the GRAND PRIZE for showmanship! Way to go team!

And yesterday, Laredo’s CW was proud to play host to the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center who camped out in our studio parking lot to collect blood donations. We are pleased to say that we had a phenomenal turn out and appreciate all the support you gave Laredo! Your contributions from yesterday are saving countless lives today. Thanks again!
