Greetings and salutations,

Our show at Vancouver's lovely Media Club (at Cambie & Georgia) features local pals Katastroyka, Girlfriends & Boyfriends and Peace. Doors at 9, cover is $8.

If you make it down and ask one of the band members for a copy of our album, we'll give you one gratis. Beats waiting for a download to finish, no?

If you're in the Vancouver area this fine evening and want to relive your favourite '90s moments (nothing past '97 though, we promise) then I suggest you check out the Loser gig tonight at the Astoria.

Ludvico Treatment + Malcolm from Fake Shark + special guest stars = pure awesomeness. Two sets! A half hour each! First set @ 11pm! Exclamation point!

Between the recent CD catalog reissues of the Beatles and Radiohead (read: Capitol/EMI scraping the barrel for content that people will actually pay for), Pitchfork has seen fit to sound the death knell of The Album as a format:

Read their Kid A review if you're curious...

Not that they're ever 100% right when predicting trends, but the fact that their own site reviews individual songs as much (if not more often) than the records that said songs come from seems to indicate that it's what their readers/The Masses want.

"...albums have persisted, sure, but are increasingly marginalized or stripped for parts-- release Kid A today, and many might choose to save or stream "Idioteque" and Recycle-Bin the rest, missing the contextual build and release that makes the album's demented-disco centerpiece all the more effective.

That's not a qualitative judgment: The way things are now isn't better or worse, just different."

Just different? Humbug. I for one think it's sad to say the least. Now if you'll excuse me, I have some cassette tapes to wind with a pencil...

* On that note, come vent your own curmudgeonly diatribes about the state of music at our '90s alt rock cover set this Friday at the Astoria in Vancouver. We promise that no song created any later than 1998 will be played. *

This fine Thursday evening (today by all technicalities) has the band playing at the Biltmore in Vancouver. 9pm sharp! Get there early! Should be fantastic.

In other weekend news, Adjective (featuring Adam from Ludvico on drums) will be playing Vancouver's Rickshaw Theatre on Saturday night. Also much fun to be had. Do join us for the pleasantries!

Good citizens,

We've got a gig coming up at the Biltmore Cabaret on August 6 with Silent Authors and DRMHLLR. Get there early if you want to catch us as it'll be an opening set... Shall we say 9? Yes, we shall.

Pertinent info: Ryan from Adjective will be joining us on bass for the evening. To make things even crazier, Adam from Ludvico will be joining Adjective (on drums, of all things) for their gig at the Railway Club on July 23.

A most peculiar mix-up of Shakespearean proportions! Feste would be so proud...

As promised, new song Exit Secondary Character is now on our audio player.  This song is from the album-in-progress "Politeia"... more info on that album once we get our heads around how to release music in this crazy digital age.

Summer gigs are on the horizon, dates will be posted as soon as they're confirmed. Thanks for keeping us on your collective radars...

Brief news flash!

Adjective are on the cover of this week's Georgia Straight featuring some quotables from yours truly. Give them your time and they will not disappoint! Check the article out here:
http://www.straight.com/article-227809/dark-side-tune? and catch them this Wednesday night as part of the Music Waste festival in Vancouver.

BWe'll be posting a new tune shortly, the good news being that new stuff is indeed being finished and the band is working out a shiny new setlist. We're getting some new gigs going, so you can expect to see us back out there this summer.

That's all for now, just a quick dispatch this time. More news as we figure out how to put our silly esoteric inclinations into words...
