Velvet Hammer films recently learned that Netflix has already put up a page for "Breath of Hate" even though we've only just begun editing the film! But that should stop you from adding it to your queue.

Their synopsis is as follows:

Love (Lauren Walsh) is a paid escort looking to get out of the ugly business, but unfortunately her last gig is for three freaky cultists who've just escaped from a mental hospital and are trawling for victims in a psychopathic spree. Director Sean Cain (Silent Night, Zombie Night) pulls out all the stops in this macabre, character-driven nightmare, a gore-filled love letter to midnight-movie fans everywhere.

Do you like this one better than the one we currently use now? (IMDB Synopsis)

Anyway, if you're a Netflix consumer check out the link below and add this upcoming movie!

The first bit of press coming out of GoreZone's Weekend of Horrors is courtesy of Brutal As Hell who said:

"...it is refreshing to see a modern horror that isn’t about teenagers, with midlife anxiety instead being the driving force."

To read the entire article about "Silent Night, Zombie Night" and all the other films that played at GoreZone's Weekend of Horrors check out:

P.S. Although the website sounds fairly...brutal the people behind it were awful nice chaps.

The Horror Chick Heather Wixson took a brief vacation so there was a delay in all of her Breath of Hate goodies. But fear not; she's back, and we've got Day Eight right here for you!

On the eighth day of shooting, the set was filled to the brim with lots of new and familiar faces, including Sleepaway Camp actress Felissa Rose, who was about two weeks away from her due date while working on set.

She was such a trooper, she even allowed herself to get tied up for a scene in the back of The Horror Chick's car. We also got to meet a few more of the "bad kids" including Selma (Monique Parent) and Cleb (Ricardo Gray), and director Sean Cain took his turn at doing some of the behind-the-scenes footage himself. Prepare to see Heather run from the camera!

Check out the latest "Silent Night, Zombie Night" interview with none other than Santa Zombie (Chris Gabriel) himself!

"Any back story to who your Santa was before he got zombified?

Actually, yes. Earl Deckard was a disgraced alcoholic Santa actor at a local mall who was entirely too slow and out of shape to avoid being bitten by even the slowest zombie. I mean really, look at the guy...if you're a hungry zombie, who are YOU going to go after? Santa was the slowest wildebeest in the herd, and that's all there is too it. He never stood a chance. On a side note, the zombie who bit him got absolutely hammered as Earl's BAC was .259."

Writer/Producer Wes Laurie was recently interviewed for Associated Content and gave out many pearls of wisdom regarding "Silent Night, Zombie Night", "Breath of Hate" and his future aspirations on directing. Let's listen in a little bit on what he had to say:

"My first working title for what became Breath Of Hate was: Kink. I felt like writing something gritty and emotionally nasty. For my own amusement and a challenge I wanted to play with the cliché "hitman on one last job" plot and altered that to a hooker. The idea behind that was to play with film cliché, but make it something fresh and entertaining. The title changed and the overall story evolved as I decided to write the story to fit specific free locations I had in mind. We didn't end up using any of those locations, however, and my wallet is still sore at me."

If you want to read the full interview, and you should if you like to be entertained in a myriad of insightful ways, then check it out:
