So Hemingway stopped being Hemingway and started being Great Falls... right about now. What does this mean? It means you can go here and listen to Eight songs by Great Falls, which is still just Demian and Shane, and decide if you like the new band better than the band that's dead, which is this one.

Thank you.

We have a new cdr available. We also still need a show on september 13th It's A thirty minute piece played by Shane and Demian with guitars, electronics and contact mics. A prelude to our split with A Death Cinematic.
It available from our ETSY STORE
and with just a click of a paypal button here.
Limited to 50 copies and made from cardstock, vellum and a 100 year old wood block print...

We also are looking for cool places to play in the Tacoma/Olympia area on September 13th. We are doing three shows with House of Low Culture (Aaron Turner of Isis/Hydrahead records) and Mamiffer (Faith from Everlovely Lightningheart) and we need a middle show. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Here is the tour thus far;

Hello. How have you been? We over here at Hemingway have decided to put up four new songs to coincide with the staggering amount of releases we have coming up. Some on tape, some on cd, and all off the hook (that was Demian's joke), they are as follows:

1. "All Clean Necks" from our upcoming split with Triumph of Lethargy

2. "Magisteria", an addition to our upcoming ep "A Second Thin Skin"

3. "The Bowl", which is out now on our 3" cd release "The Landlord, Dr. Islam"

4. "Darkside", from our upcoming collaboration with Japanese author/poet Kenji Siratori

Plus another song from our ep, and one from our split with Sparkle Girl. Please enjoy them as they won't be up forever.
It's not like we're taking them down in 72 hours, but if you put off listening to them now you'll get wrapped up in other stuff and before you even realize it you're 20 years older, the boss won't stop razzing you about not coming in on weekends, the Pontiac's tires need to be replaced, and the kids never have time to call anymore unless they need money.

And here is where you can purchase our available products.

We would like you to send us a copy of Gremlins 2: The New Batch. DVD preferably, but any format will be appreciated.

We have Two New Contests, and by that we mean one. But with two winners. Each of our songs corresponds to a painting by an artist we like. Many of them have silly names, which is merely coincidental.
Send us the names of all six artists and you will get a tape, copy 1 of 1, with some sort of nutty packaging and a big congratulations from us. It'll be the greatest secular holiday gift you'll receive all Solstice.
We have two different tapes, so even if you come in second you won't be the first loser. That'll be the third guy.

We have a new band member, the Digitech JamMan. This will allow us to somehow rock even harder, which modern science thought impossible.

Has Raffi ever written a song better than Bananaphone?

We have some big news coming soon, but no one ever gives a shit when they read that.
Just post the big news, right? Why waste everyone's time. No one likes a cocktease.
Well, we're so fucking sorry, your majesty.

Some Doogie Howser type that goes by the name Rustmouth Chafing's correctly named the three people.

Boxing gloves: Vladimir Nabokov
Greasy Hair: Celine
Creepy Cane guy: Jorge-Luis Borges

He has won a pile of something that he will love. You would have loved it also.

So, be on the lookout for another contest soon. Our next pile could be yours.

Thanks.

Well, so far no one has won the contest.

Again, it's guess the identities of the three people posted next to our songs.

Contests are fun. Remember this.

So far internet legend/Canadian Dale is on track to once again win, so please snatch the prize from his steely grasp.

The prize is a tape, 1 of 1, and original artwork. And some other crap we find around our apartments.

The first hint: They are all dead and all have the same job.

New hints:
One is known usually by only one name, and was French.
One is known by three names and was Argentinian.
One is known by two names and was born in Russia.

They're all authors.

Go.

We have put up our five song ep, "A Second Thin Skin", and would love you to listen and tell us what you think. We're not looking for compliments. We know there is an unflappable critic waiting to deliver savage criticism bubbling somewhere in you.
A slightly altered version of the ep will be a released as 100 copies from our dear friend at Broken Press.

We are playing a show tomorrow with BlowupNihilist, The Arid Sea, and The Keeper at Jules Maes. It will be grand, and we hope you can make it.
After the show our second Dead Accents Infinity tape will be released somewhere oustide the club. It will 1 of 1.

We have just solidified a split tape with Triumph of Lethargy Skinned Alive to Death and we can't wait to see what they come up with. If you haven't, listen to them. If you have, do it again.

We have a few other releases in the works, the first being our 40 minute tape "The Calling The Waiter On The Phone Joke". A sample of it is available on our Dead Accents label page.

Other releases will show up soon.

The songs we've posted will be systematically replaced over the next few weeks, and we will have a new music video, so don't change the channel.

Thanks.

New music and some big news coming soon. This was almost the jumping of the gun but instead of pulling the trigger and blowing our heads off (telling you all what i mean), Danny Glover (my inner censor) puts that little bit of webbing between his thumb and pointer finger in such a way that the hammer pinches his hand and doesn't allow the bullet (truth) to fire. In other words. news is coming.

Today, Shane and Demian will be writing and recording a handful of songs that may or may not see the light of day. Now your brain is slightly fuller of useless information.
