Here's a video of Martin jammin with Larry Carlton with Travis Carlton on bass ~

Martin doesn't have a Myspace page but he's the guitarist playing on two of my tracks, L!! & Detour to 5 Four. He's just recorded some guitar on two tracks I'm doing at the moment....

I couldn't believe it! Me? No 14 in the Myspace fusion charts? But, after much hunting around, I found it! I'd recieved a friends request from The Fusion Room Records telling me they'd found me in the Ambient/Trance charts ~ so I searched but no, I wasn't there. So I searched through my genres, pop, funk & finally in fusion, there I was!

So a huge thanks to  www.myspace.com/thefusionroomrecords for informing me! But it made me wonder, how are these charts compiled & why isn't there some way for us to be informed? Like a magical little box that suddenly appears on your page telling you? That would be cool!

PS ~ I've been told by people that they couldn't find these charts easily ~ nor could I initially. Click on Top Artists in top RH corner of profile, check 'fusion' in the genres box & then click 'update' ~ Okay, so today I'm at no 15 but it still feels good!

I was 'Artist of the Day' on Music Out There, run by Melanie & (Andrew!) on the 7th of May & I'm wondering if the above has anything to do with them?? I didn't find out until the next day so I missed it though ~ But I know these two work tirelessly promoting music so go & check them out ~

Searching for an old music theory book I've been after for years, I came across BassBooks.com

I recognized the name as a MySpace friend, one who I'd replied to but like so many, hadn't heard back from.....no worries! Looking down the page I saw my name! I was blown away....like MY name? What's that doing there I thought... They'd put one of my tracks (Duretti C) on a monthy podcast along with 5 others.... Big deal you more experienced Spacers may say but me being new to this stuff had a WOW moment!

But what got me was the calibre of the other players on their podcasts.... Like Scott Hubble, Gerald Veasley & Bruce Gertz!!

I'd better get my act together which is a long story, clues contained in Requiem for Dawn.....written in a moment of grief after my lady Dawn (RIP) hung herself....

Sometimes it's easy to forget why, what, where & when.....BassBooks.com & MySpace have helped me to recapture it along with others, who, as time goes on I will mention.....

At this moment I wish love & success to all ~ Andrew

I've been on MySpace for 6 months now & am blown away by it! I've only had a laptop for 9 months & must be one of the last people in the world to get connected....So many people wondered how I could live without the Internet ~ of course, easily when you've not experienced it. Now I understand though recently, after my laptop became infected (as reported in The Guardian on the 9th of May 2008 ~ "Half a million computers infected with 'malware' in just 7 days") it was liberating not to be connected....Myspace can be so time consuming!

I have an endless imagination with fresh ideas by the minute & have realized that blogging is the next step on my Interweb journey ~

Just wish I could type faster!
