Loto Ball has been traveling with underground circuses and avant-garde punk rock vaudeville shows since he joined GG Allin's guitarist, Chicken John, in Circus Ridiculous and toured the country twice. Since then, he has toured with acts like the Phantom Limbs, and Mucca Pazza. Bands, that, if not actual circuses, or theater shows, are definitely highly theatrical.

This Christmas season, Loto Ball will be heading south from Chicago with a unique bill featuring the Loto Ball Show http://www.myspace.com/lotoballshow, Loto Ball Dans Gang http://www.myspace.com/dansgang, Ratty Scurvics http://www.myspace.com/rattyscurvics, acrobats from Aloft http://www.aloftaerialdance.com/Aloft_Aerial_Dance/Video.html, and Right Eye Rita http://www.myspace.com/righteyerita

Chicago’s Loto Ball Show is the brainchild of its namesake and lead singer, former Phantom Limbs vocalist Loto Ball. Fusing doomsday dissonance with stellar musicianship and raw energy, Loto Ball Show captures the disorientation of today’s youth in its dizzying post-punk compositions. Ball’s atonal, Ian Curtis-esque vocals play off the band’s steely, cold synths and Dixieland brass to create a strong sense of atmosphere and disorder. Having cut their teeth hosting variety shows and putting on “absurdist puppet shows,” the seven-piece micro-orchestra’s current incarnation specializes in skewing the conventional pop and rock format to create its indefinable sound. Noisy, spiky, and reckless, “Dead Kiss” finds the Loto Ball Show at its edgiest and most captivating.
