Hello everyone! John Flansburgh of TMBG here! Hope everyone is having a perfect summer. There are so many things going on right now with the release of Here Comes Science on Amazon and iTunes coming up on Sept. 1, and going nationwide on Sept. 22. This is probably the first of two messages we'll be sending out this week. Pardon our in-box imposition.

Very excited to tell you that the video to "Electric Car" has just been posted on youtube and we would love for you to check it out. It was directed by the brilliant folks at Tiny Inventions, sung by the ever-wonderful Robin Goldwasser, and features the ever-powerful Tricerichops Horns (along with some mellotron for good measure) This is the link! And please tell your friends!

The songs AND the videos will be out for one very low price on iTunes, although we won't have that information until moment s before it's availability.

Amazon is ready for your pre-order right now-here is the link-

-and we are pretty positive if you order tonight you will see the full length DVD and CD set in your mailbox on Sept. 1 or 2. They are REALLY good at getting the robots to work overnight there at Amazon. And the price is nuts there too-just ten bucks for a full length DVD and CD combo set.

Thanks to all for all the good vibes. Hope you enjoy the new stuff!

Own a piece of TMBG history--The Van That Went Platinum!
Yes-in 1990 They Might Be Giants embarked on a year long nationwide tour to promote their new album "Flood" with two Ford Econoline Vans. One was a couple of years old and had seen the band through the Lincoln tour. The second was brand new and almost identical to the first. The two vans, both gleaming white, were ignominiously dubbed Milli and Vanilli by TMBGs crew.

Milli skidded headlong into the great beyond years ago, but with the tender love and velvet wrench of TMBG lighting designer William "Iggy" Ingoglia Vanilli has rolled forward until now. Unfortunately as of July 2009, with a transmission that only works in reverse, even Iggy has given up.

It could all be yours for a very reasonable $500, and it actually holds a ton of stuff. How hard is it to drive in reverse?

Inspired by Seattle's own They Might Be Giants little league team, Brooklyn's original TMBG are sponsoring teams with a free shirt give away for the kids. Read the WHOLE story here:

FROM AOL

"From 'Jock Jams' to Shaq's rap albums to Eddie Vedder cursing last year's Chicago Cubs season, the worlds of sports and music frequently overlap and often disappoint. But that was before They Might Be Giants decided to do something positive and sponsor Little League baseball teams."

Okay, we're not sure why we're getting the cute myspace robot flagging the previously awesome links, but the network link appears to be already out of action. Hopefully these will pass their robo-test, and if anyone has the technology to upload the hulu stream on to a more permanent home for the performance of The Mesopotamians, that would be great!

This is the link to the show. Does anyone have the ability to capture this video and post it on youtube or on the myspace video streamer? It's going away very soon, and certain networks are very stingy with the vids.... THANKS!
