Hello friends, Hola amigos! It's "Grammy nomination" time again . This year my friends of The AUREA PROJECT and I at ArtistShare are excited to be in the running for Grammy nomination 2010 in the categories of the "Best Latin Jazz Album" and "Best Improvised Jazz Solo", "Best Instrumental Composition". Quiero comunicarles con mucha alegría que el CD AUREA de Geoffrey Keezer en donde tuve la satisfacción de formar parte del proyecto tocando la batería y percusión ha sido nominado al GRAMMY NOMINATION 2010 AWARD en la categoría como "Mejor Latin Jazz Album" y otras categorias más.

WORKSHOP: Master Peruvian drummer Hugo Alcázar is giving percussion master classes at Tutuma Social CLub. Saturday, October 17th. Come learn to play the cajón in a fun, supportive environment. Gabriel Alegria's Afro-Peruvian Sextet - Live @ Tutuma Social Club - Oct. 15 From: TutumaSocialClub | October 18, 2009 The Afro-Peruvian Sextet performed with new member John Benitez on bass. They played music from their soon-to-be-released album entitled Pucusana. Gabriel Alegria - trpt Laurandrea Leguía - sax Yuri Juárez - guitar Freddy "Huevito" Lobatón - cajon Hugo Alcázar - drums John Benitez - contrabass On Saturday night, Ritmos Negro del Peru packed the house, bringing up many people from around the world to dance with them on stage.

Hola amigos he sido nominado dentro los mejores exponentes de batería
del año según "The Latin Jazz Corner" Best Latin Jazz of 2008 por mi
participación difundiendo los ritmos afro-peruanos en el último CD
Nuevo Mundo - Gabriel Alegria Jazz Sextet.

La votación estará abierta hasta el 23 de diciembre, así que sientase
libre de votar en cualquier momento antes de esa fecha. Anunciarán los
ganadores en pequeños grupos cada día entre el 27 de diciembre y 31 de
diciembre. ¡Es una manera emocionante de terminar el año! y me
gustaría contar con su apoyo.
