Hello all Jamie Richards Band Friends and Fans.  John here with the latest road blog.  I apreciate all of your patience with the road blog as some of the staff here at Last Call Touring have been under the weather.

It has been a week of exciting and unusual events on the road with the JRB.  This past weekend we played at Midnight Rodeo Amarillo on Friday and Rockett Club in Rockett, Tx on Saturday.

Thursday 10-22-09
Bus Call was in Ft. Worth for Friday at 7am.  Jamie and I decided to go down to Ft. Worth on tonight.  We were back in the Eagle this weekend and after loading the bus we took off for Ft. Worth around 11pm.  We arrived in Ft. Worth a couple of hours later and went to sleep so we could get an early start.

Friday 10-23-09
Bus call was at 7am.  Most people in the music business have never experienced 7am before.  It was cool on the drive up there and the Eagle was low on the heat.  I don't know why, it always seems to have plenty of heat in the summer.  It wasn't that bad.  After a lovely lunch at a local Pizza Hut, we arrived at Midnight Rodeo around 2pm, loaded in and soundchecked.  Jamie had a Radio interview at 5pm.  (We would like to send a special thank you out to the staff of KAT Country 101.9 for playing Jamie's music).  The show began at 11pm.  Jamie and the band put on a great show.  If you haven't heard the new music you need to get out to one of the shows.  Jamie has started playing some of the songs that will be on the new album.  After the show, we loaded out and spent the night on the bus.

Saturday 10-24-09
We rolled out of Amarillo around 9am.  After dropping the band off back in Ft. Worth we headed to the Rockett Club.  As we were pulling into the parking lot, we accidently pulled the bus into the side of the building.  There wasn't much damage to the club, but the buses steering system failed due to the frame breaking.  We arranged for a repaiman to meet us there in the morning so we loaded in and finished soundcheck.  We always love the fans that come out to see us at Rockett and Saturday was no exception.  Jamie and the band played to a hell raisin crowd almost without incident.  There was one little bar fight.  When you play the honky tonks, you know there is always that guy.

Sunday  10-25-09
The repairment showed up around 9am and began working on the bus.  That afternoon after working for hours it was apparent that the bus would not be fixed.  I called and arranged for a tow truck to meet the bus in the morning.  Dean came back to the club and picked up the trailer off of the bus and took it home with him.  Jamie and I hung out at the club for 106.9 The Ranch Radio live show.  Our friend Rachal Stacy was performing.

Monday 10-26-09
The tow truck showed up around 9am and began to get the bus ready to be towed.  There is a lot that has to be done to tow a bus.  After a couple of hours, Jamie and I rode with the tow truck driver back to Denison and dropped off the bus.

Thanks to all our friends and fans for coming out last weekend.  We will be in Houston this weekend.  Hope to see everyone at the show.

Hi everybody, John here with the Road Blog.

Thank You to all the Jamie Richards fans that braved the weather at the Tommy Alversons Family Gathering.  We had a great time at the event and would like to thank everyone that made it possible.

10-2-09
This day started off great.  The Gathering was the only show that we played this week so we decided to get out there a day early to see our good friends Deryl Dodd and Walt Wilkins.  We left the Eagle home again and were using Vivian, another leased tour bus provided by F1 Celebrity Coach in Denison, Tx.  We borded the bus around 2pm and hit the road for Lyod Park.  We arrived around 4 and were greeted at the gate by one of our special friends Julie.  We were parked and in no time were hooked up to shore power and well on our way to having a good time.  Jamie and I cruised backstage and seen a lot of our friends.  I told a lot of people about an after party back at our bus little did I know how many people would here about it.  After we watched Deryl and Walt finish out the night, we headed back to the bus and built a fire.  10 people turned into 100 and we partied until 5am.  We have to get some sleep before work.

10-3-09
We woke up to a rainy morning with no sign of it improving.  We moved the gear to the back of the stage and got ready for the show.  Jamie and the Band took the stage around 6pm.  The heavy rain took the stage around 6:04pm.  I have got to hand it to the fans.  Most of them poped out rain coats and stuck around for the shows conclusion.

Jamie and the Band put on a hell of a show.  The show was a time of endings and new beginings.  Paul Holder who has been our drummer for the last 5 years is leaving the band after the Gathering.  I am happy to have been at Paul's first and last show.  Everybody who has been in the band and I speak for everyone when I say that we all call Paul a hell of a drummer and a special friend.  We wish the best for him and Alicia and hope to see them down the road.

10-04-09
We woke up to about 4 more inches of rain.  Vivian moved about 4 feet until she started to sink into the mud.  Thankfully one of our friends with a big diesel helped us back onto the street.

Had a great time and look forward to Ennis and Bandera Texas next Weekend.

The week started off good as we were getting ready for the Acoustic Show at the White Elephant Saloon. We left the Eagle at home this week as we were in a leased Tour Bus provided by F1 Celebrity Coach out of Denison, TX. We boarded the bus around 1pm and left for Ft. Worth. We arrived at the Stockyards around 3 and realized that we needed fuel for the bus. We were already in the stockyards, but there were no truck stops around. So we had to back the bus around a mini mart to get fuel. Once we got settled at the White Elephant, we loaded in and got set up. The acoustic show went great. Jamie was sharing the stage one of our good friends Robert Donahue. Jamie Richards gained some new fans that were on vacation from Ireland. When you meet people from Ireland, you have to have a drink with them. After the show, Jamie and the crew hung out with the people until the bar closed. We even invited our new friends from Ireland out on the bus to have a drink with us.

9-25-09
This morning started off with a wake up call from the Ft. Worth Police telling us to move the bus. We called our good friend Greg White with SG Studios in White Settlement (Greg Recorded the Album DRIVE for us) and set up a work session in the studio. After a few hours of working we came back out to the bus and noticed that one of the windows in the bus was shot by a be be gun. Thank god it was double pane glass. Since we were off that night, we drove to Granbury to hear one of our friends play. I would like to send a special thanks to our good friends at Wild Country in Granbury for letting us hang out there on our night off.

9-26-09
Time to go to work. We have all been looking forward to playing this show at the Red Moon with long time friend Deryl Dodd. We arrived at the Red Moon around 3:30 and loaded in. Soundcheck was a little tricky due to the fact that there were 3 bands on the bill and the Red Moon has a small band stand. Jamie took the stage around 9:15pm. The show was sold out and the fans were raising hell. Wade who runs the merch booth got into a fight with a Haystack Bobble head Doll (VIDEO). The band put on a great show and we all had a good time. Deryl took the stage around 10:45 and got Jamie back up to sing with him towards the end of the show. We hung out with fans and friends after the show. When we woke up the next morning, someone toilet papered the bus. I didn't know about it until Jamie told me.

Anyways, we had a great time this week and are looking forward to playing Tommy Alversons Family Gathering next week. Hope to see everyone out.

Tuesday was a great day for Jamie and Wade at the 4th annual Clint Burgess Golf Tournament. Jamie along with Wade Hayen were teamed up with a great group of people. They had the privilege of playing along side Aaron Norris Chuck Norris Brother, the Mayor Tedder of Dalworthington Gardens and Wolf a policeman for Dalworthington Gardens. The Team played and excelent round of golf and won the over all Title of 2009 Champs. The Jamie Richards Band is really puttin’ it to the grind and
loggin’ those miles these next few months. The schedule is filling up fast and
they’re racking up the shows.  Look for
Jamie’s appearance with the Charlie Daniels Band this weekend in Oklahoma, and
playing with artists for the first time like Tommy Alverson, The Derailers at
the Ft. Worth Stockyards, and new to the schedule, the Pasadena Strawberry
Festival.

Things are going great for the band. The new single, “Whiskey Nights” is
flying up the Texas Music Chart to number 25 this week, up from 42 just two
weeks ago. You can check out the chart at www.texasmusicchart.com . Also, the
official website has a new look these days. You can go to www.jamierichardsband.com to check
it out! Don’t forget to request the new single at your local radio stations or
