There still seems to be a lot of confusion as to what the heck happened during episode 35 of The Formidable Files, so I'm going to clear it up. At the beginning of the show, Travis and Aaron heard the song "Dancing Queen" begin to play in the background. They laughed at first, each assuming that the other was playing a joke. Nay. As the show progressed, Travis and Aaron discovered that what they were hearing was actually another radio show bleeding into their airwaves. For this they had no explanation. Even weirder yet was the fact that, though our hosts could hear this other show louder and clearer than they could hear each other, the live viewers could not hear any such noise. Our hosts tried hard to make a bad situation into a formidable show, but failed for they could not hear each other over the other show at some points. Ignoring the intrusion was much harder than it seemed. Their faithful viewers stood by in hopes that The Formidable Files would go on, but all Travis and Aaron could bring to them was small talk and angry ranting. The entire scheduled events for the episode was lost and rescheduled finally for the following Thursday night at the usual time.
The show that was intruding upon the Files (unbenownst to their hosts) was a show called "Doctor Anonymous Live" our hosts found out during the course of the episode and, for lack of anything better to do, contacted them on their own show.
blogtalkradio.com/doctoranonymous Episode 24 Our viewers became fed up with the situation and (once Travis and Aaron announced what show it was that was defiling the Formidable Files) they proceeded to type angry messages into the chat room of Dr A and a few even called in, in a desperate attempt to avenge the fallen episode of TFF. Travis called into Dr A's show at one point as well.
Thanks to all who stayed with us during this horrible incident, and don't worry, blogtalkradio.com has assured us that the problem is fixed and future episodes will run smoothly.
Also, if you listen to the episode in the archive, you can hear Dr Anonymous in the background, even though our live viewers could not.
*Speculation on what really happened: -The Phantom of the Files (or the ghost caller) was playing a trick on the hosts -The Formidable Files was targeted for sabatoge due to their persistent position on the top ten comedy shows on btr. -It was all a gag, set up because the hosts actually had no material for the episode.
