what kinda game are u playing in life?
Playing stupid? Playing Ignorant? Playing Innocent?

What kinda game are YOU playing in life?
Playing wise? Playing Devoted? Playing Guilty?

Playing silly? Playing once? Twice?

Playing with your loved one? PLaying with the ones who love you? Playing with youself?

PLaying your ego? your dreams? your soul? your grand wish of peace?

Playing safe? PLaying DANGER? PLAYING FIRE?

Playing fast? PLAYING SSSSSSSSSLOOOOOOOOOOOOW?

Playing once? PLaying endlessly? PLaying fighter ? Giver? Loser? Winner?

Playing Newborn? Playing old? Playing like you know what u were meant to do in this life, as if there were a last life?

PLaying cool, even though all u want will never be granted from whatever mighty destiny of some bigger power or ur own hands?

PLaying happy, even though u got all your need but nothing you want?

PLaying loud, like u are afraid you will descend quitely in ur own little world before they really notice u around?

Playing crazy, as if you were out of ordinary, when you are not especially?

Playing by the day? By the  minute? By the second?
BY hours of sleep or hours of awake?

Playing like you know you are PLaying?
OR
Playing just like how you were taught you should be?

WHAT KINDA GAME ARE YOU PLAYING?
           LIFE?

how are you playing right now?

ARE YOU EVEN PLAYING YET?

WOULD YOU LIKE TO PLAY?

I am not big fan of liguistic, or any sort of philosophy , school of thoughts for language , i suck at every language that  i speak , and i just wish everything is communicated by heart and feeling , without words

why words are created? do you really read what i say? does it matter u read what i say? what do u do? what can u do? does it matter if u read it properly or wrong?

like a suicide letter read after death, a apology read after murder, a proposal for help and money lie under the bottom of some big guy's "never have time to get to" pile, a break up email written by a broken heart who still love you, a seem to be personal song with lyrics borrowed from others' life, a "i love you" b-day card from a man who is fucking some chic while telling u he is busy working tonight...

why do u want to read?do you want to know?or you just want to be told?

does it hurt u when ppl dont tell, dont trust u to tell, dont want to tell you, dont think it matter to tell u, dont have time to tell u, or dont know how to tell u?

or does it only hurt when u care about those people?

they also said words are sometimes a record written for one's own purpose, like diary, which is now seemly the blog, but what kinda diary it could be if it is to never be read and discovered? why not just write and burn?

if it is just a record, what are we writing down in words for? can we figure out shit without language to ourselves?

or is Proust right? that "no one is a complete mystery, but to himself". that we use language to communicate with ourselves?

how tragic!

finally got to sit down and watch another Pang's brother's film "Kwai Wik"AKA "Re-Cycle". THough never a big friend for their story buliding, probably coz i am never a thriller flick fan, but i have to admire the stories every time.
keep u thinking u know?
Almost no other thriller or stupid scare-u-to-hald-death movie could do like Pang's do.

so Re-Cycle, i should not give it away, so, if you dont want to know about it, stop reading RIGHT HERE!

go check out some pick here and go view about it on IMDB --->
http://imdb.com/title/tt0498311/

watch the trailer... if u want a tease...

I SAID, dont read any more, go fucking watch the film :P

If you dont care, here you go.
It is about a world where a person will find all the things a person forget, tried to forget, abandoned, wanted to do but gave up and never do, all those things you might not even remember sometimes.

it appears to be rather scary down there, i mean , think of all the thousands of ancestors you and your family forgot about and never went back to their tomb to say hi with flower. (well, that is rather chinese /asian superstiton, but how about) All the amazing toys that spend years with u when u were kid, all the books and the dream u used to lived in, all those imaginary friend you ever wished to have...now you are grown up, forgot them and never need them again, where would they be? Deep in your memories, sleeping unconsicously?

well, the stories is telling you how they never die, instead, most of them never forget you, and they even feel so outraged for being abandoned.

i mean, after viewing it, i feel a bit encouraged, not scared, to try doing something i want to do, but never do...
I wonder how would the world be in my RE-Cycle world-- will it be mostly happy? Since my real life is chosen with so much unhappiness?
after all, i think i am mostly scared of all the other SIYA who are so fucking upset and pissed off at the SIYA writing this , and the time i will ever get down there, oh dear, will i ever be torn into pieces like no tomorrow.

btw, i am not approving people not bczo i dont want to or being lazy, but coz 1)u know how myspace is nowadays, it is all advertising, so, if no one requesting to be my friend even bother to send me a personal msg, they have to wait for me to check out who they are first. I dont want to have 10,000 friends i dont know on the internet. 2)internet in china is fucking slow, and i have very restricted access to it... so beat me! :P

What is going on with Beijing , China?

listen to Jeremy, the GOLD CORN from www.danwei.tv
(also, http://www.goldminesfilm.com)

I was so happy to find out someone is doing these, and feel almost compelled to advertise for them to the west as much as i good...why? coz that has always been one thing that i want to do.... i hope they are money, bcoz that is what stopped me from doing it ... no money... :P

so, here are some of the highlights in my opinions.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
OK, a bit of funny shits. Who said China is not a creative nation?
hey Chinese, What is your English Name?

Sofie questioned why Chiense ppl could be so creative in making a English name for themselves, and their pets...
Original eh?
...i still think the best name i ever heard of is Death Waits.

A bite of consumerisum
Wedding Gone Wild.

I always want to test out this similar idea in Toronto, but i am almost convinced it is a chinese phenomenon, you know , the newly wed would spend 1000's of CHinese RMB to take some concept wedding photos, then videos, then show them at the wedding BIG banquet, where there are hundreds of people you don't even know yourself (yeah, u have to invite more ppl, for your parent's sake if they are somehow estabilished), then hang them in your new bedroom, your new house living room by the TV, by the telephone, in your wallet, all over internet on your blog for your friends out there to see.....and then , did i mention they usually have at least 2 video cameras and 2 pro photographer following through all wedding day?
yeah, i mean, anyone think Canadian would go for than?
I would like to make a wedding studio doing the same thing... so much money for the newly wed...
well, here are some more GOOD wedding photos from China. You have to admit that Chinese could be quite creative when it comes to making money, though superficial....(but isnt fashion and taking photos of oneself repeatly always superficial and vain anyways?) *oops*
oh, just in case u wonder, Chinese ppl believe that 2007 is a bad year to get married, so this year of 2006 is a BIG wedding year.
and oh, one more note, the place is what u guys called Tsing Dao, where the beer is from.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The Young and the restless...the big commerical sponsors, and the indie logos and design, yeah, just like the rest of the world, when something is hot, the big will take it over.
MIDI music Festival - DIY or BYM

Shame on me, never been to the show-- Hey, i have been in Canada most of the last 7 years!! and Beijing is far from my hometown!
But i honestly really want to have a store selling all these cool indie products from China...
Would you buy those t-shirts and stuff you see in the videos coz they look cool?
or,Would you buy them just for the sake they are MADE IN CHINA?
Hmm... i think it would be a good business...
Did i mention i need to make some money from something i believe in?

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Super Idol.
Super Girl Frenzy

This show created by Hunan TV is much more successful than any idol around the world, well, in my opinions. First, all top 5 super girls are in TV , ad, billboard, everywhere making lots money from their non-singing career.
Did i mention it is all girls only? yeah, super girl, no boy allowed, Good tactic really, girls like girl, men like girls...but waht might surprise you is, the top 2 are looking just like a boy, and hmm, the no 1 sings way worse than the rest of the top 5... hmm...
it was at its peak at the second annual contest, so good that even in a sports bar where mostly only visited by foreigners are tuning in on the night of final show, SO good that even CCTV is threatened....
...and did i mention their CD doesnt really sell that well afterwards bcoz they cant really sing that well? ,,,,
...and did i mention the first supergirl and the first show never even got heard of until the second one created such craze?
...and did i mention that the third one was a total bomb?
...and did i mention how shitty a job they have done in terms of dressing those girls...
hmm... idols eh?
Clips of Super Girls
*the runner up, Zhou Bi Chang , the better singing out of a bunch

*but my fav is Yi Hui, the R&B soul girl who didnt get in top 5 at all..she is the last second one singing in this clip

A similar Idol show by another station, some funny girl... it is only in chinese, but check out her dance, it is better than American Idol out-takes i assure u.

The culture, the ARTS,

798.

they say this place, or the chinese arts are non-understandable , approachable to common Chinese, it was a place for foreigner, a selling point... i dont want to say if that is true or not, but i do feel like artzy arts have always been the joy of few populations...like everywhere else..
good news is, the young generation of Chinese like me and my friends, and a lot of the middle class, we called them "little capitalist" love to consume their time and money with such art activities. My parents call that meaningless, though many ppl make money out of it, many i mean the few of the bunch... and thounsands of new creative ppl popping up all around the country... (yeah, my interest point is here, China City art Renaissance , i am dying to be able to make a book or doc about it) But will this country be able to feed all that talents?
so, is it bad news? that China will just be like Canada, 5 out of 10 ppl on the street are some kinda freelence musicians or artists competing that little pie of share in a limited market?

*more works from 798 art district Beijing

Hip Hop Culture in China

Hip hop is so HUGE in china, it is not even funny...
i mean, if we need to talk fair, English speaking fans should start learning CHinese , i believe hip hop is better when it is about a changing time... which in China... perfect timing.
Did i mention hip hop in CHina is also heavily tied with extreme sports, tattoo? The dragon drawing on my back is by my hip hop tattoo artist Wu Lun based in Beijing. --->

DID i mention we got some killer graffiti artists?
check some out if you read some chinese...well, or just click around see what happen

PHOTO FROM THE DALEST (NOTE:DALES SOUNDS LIKE FUCK IN CANTONESE)
GUANGZHOU GRAFFITTI PARTY
NGC crew
again, another thing i want to do, a chinese hip hop arts show in Toronto....
SO, MORE WILL COME LATER...DONT WANT TO drown u guys with too much at once

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

TOO MUCH MEDIA?

i feel so much more enchanted about how little money can creative people in all kinds of Chinese Media get paid for , than how many magazine and newspaper avaliable in China.
With information available almost free for anyone with a TV and internet access, is al that choices really necessary? Would they stay? For how long?
After all, we are a HUGE country with LOTS people, and mind you, many young Chinese ppl are obsessed with magazines and newspaper, mostly magazine...
oh the generation of instant gratifications...
GO figure.

Sexy Beijing Christmas.

do you know Chinese people celebrate Christmas more than New Year ?!!
Well, at least for the city people, even though no one get a day off from christmas day. Then, what about the Chinese Christmas fall on Luna calendar first day of the year (this year is Feb 18), well, that is a oligation to stay with family, just like u guys' christmas, without the religion aspect.
So, do you feel offended that most of the Chinese people celebrate Christmas just because it is another excuse to spend money, get drunk and ask gifts ?
*cough*, or, for non christmas believer, do you feel lucky that your own religion's holiday, such as Hanukkah, not being commercialized.

MUZI MEI sexy Blogger

One of the many BEAUTIFUL female writers got her success at relative young age, just for the sake of being free in her expression. Free i mean, talk about sex with others, or drug addiction, obession of certain thing with dreaming qualities... i know, so common, but it work. Controversy, any press is good press, instant fame for few years could only be utilized by those who really have real potential,...look at her apartment, i bet she spend lots money while she makes it...so, yeah, i am not saying those writers sucks, but they just luckier than u non-chinese young beautiful talented writers, just for the sake of being born in the right time, in China... Hey, that is CHina, get used to it, u guys out in the rest has to rewind 50 years in order to get famous for such thing.
but, with Chinese gov't paying more attention to what the freedom of internet could be, they want to "civilized" it, but hey, there is always a another world outside....if not the virtual internet in China.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

sexy in the city of beijing?

the exotic factor? hmm, just a thought after seeing this little trailer, i dont need to tell you to know that in canada, well, in north america, well...anyways, the point is, it looks like a cliche to walk down toronto and see a non-chinese boy with a Asian or Chinese looking hot girlfriend, so, is it really Chinese woman taking over the world?
Do you know Chinese population will have more women than men in the next 10 years and, plus the fact that a LOT of Chinese women seem to attract or are attracted to Non Chinese men and ened up with them, and from what i heard, the % of gay population are way higher than Lesbian in china, (well, minus those women who are bi-sexual).
so, maybe we need to import more hot non-chinese ladies to China to save the day.
well, they say mixing it up is always better-- think of how ugly the royalties look...

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
oh, the beautiful NanLuoGu Xiang(lane)

this is my paradise in Beijing!
remember all the time i spent there with my "artzy" friend, all that quite cafe and late night snack at narrow intersections where i have to move our whole table any time a taxi come through... and my friend's new bar just got there for a year!
I have to go there before it turned into some kinda cultural centre, just like Hou Hai? San LI Tun Bar street? Disney Land?...or i have to look for the new place to hang...

FUCK!

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

last but not least, the common talk, the big gov't, city and ppl, the growth, the polictical...

Just like we thought it would be, everything old is going to be gone, and new to come.
The rich get richers, then trickle down to the poor slowly, very slowly...

it is the same everywhere else in the world, how it has been, and will be.
Just history repeating itself.

But hey, it is my mother land, so just want to show u all who dont know enough about what z up in china, and want to.

meanwhile, stupid day job will take me up 7:30-5 mon - fri

wondering if i will be getting into fight with other media ppl with HUGE AND PROFESSIONAL GEAR for running in front of their lens. :P
I am in a pretty world-hating mood these days so i am pretty sure i will Kung-Fu them CHinese style first, then cry like a big baby in the middle of the show.

Some shots of the wonderful Belladonna and the awakening... though missing the dancers, as usual, what a amazing experience and great show..

Belladonna the Virtuous

Mz. Angelica have the show covered on Ricepaper --->

http://www.ricepaperonline.com
Fearless-Ryerson Campus-June 24th, 2006
Angelica LeMinh, June-26 2006

One of Ryerson Universitys contributions to Torontos Pride celebration of 2006 was the live to air broadcast of Heatwave on 88.1.

The highlight of the show was one Mz. Belladonna, who along with her band The Awakening (John Kendrick, Jeff Burke, Michael Clark, Lai Yee Ho, Sage MacPherson, and Pierre Mongeon) brought a flawless (and fearless) live band sensibility to spoken word. Where else can you see a rhythm section so fierce with a bassoon, sax and bass? The songs were relevant, inspiring and still personable and funny, activism on a human level. There was a real sense of community, which was apt because of the premise of the gathering, and the patchouli scented politics of queer events presented through the lens of higher education were happily absent.

The setting was intimate and the crowd was small but mighty. The outdoor/indoor venue was perfect and it was a privilege to be live in the environment, though the option of on-air broadcast was a nice one, so people can get a taste of the plethora of styles that is Belladonna. She is known to play on the West Coast at least once a year, so keep an ear peeled for the girl who decribes herself as an unbreakable flower petal, tough as *$@but I still smell gentle.
