After a few weeks thinking about, Joe has decided to part ways with Caught Off Guard. Things have been getting progressively slower, especially as G is soon to leave for Australia in February. This meant the band probably would have had to be put on hold for a while then anyway. Joe started college earlier this year so he's now got other commitments and has made the decision to not be tied up with any bands.

Well the summer's pretty much over, it's all back to college and stuff now. There's not been a lot happening lately with COG. Lee's been on holiday, Leak's going away for 3 weeks soon, even though we're still going to try and practice it'll be a bit different. I think we're hopefully gonna to take this time to work on some new material and probably get a brand new set for us to play.

Last night we played a pretty cool gig at the Astor Room at the Royal Hotel in Walsall. It was all good really except Leak's amp blowing-up on us - it's all fixed and taken care of now though. Except for that we been having some good stuff going on with us recently. The new CD has meant more gigs, Joe's got some new cool cymbals. We have another gig coming up soon at the Little Civic, there's five bands on from 7:30 till curfew at 11:00! COG has another new website! My hard-drive broke and I lost everything so I decided just to make a new one. If you're using Windows XP Service Pack 2 you need to click on "Allow Blocked Content" in the bar above, it is defiantly all safe so don't worry. If you see any little mistakes let us know. I'm expecting the master CD of our recording soon so that'll be the next major follow up. It'll be online ASAP!

We've finished recording this new demo, it's been mixed but just needs a couple more tweaks to get it mastered. There'll be more on that as soon as I know myself. Considering I said it might be done for Easter, it's a little late.

Thanks to everyone who came to see us last night at Cardinal Griffin High School, even though most of us (everyone except Joe) didn't know most of you, you were all great. The best crowd I (Lee) think we've ever had. I'm guessing you like a bit of Green Day? I think I remember seeing a camera going, if anyone has any photos could you please send them in? We're working on the audio section and hoping to make that a lot better than what it was before. The MP3's of our demo CD have also been removed. We're working well with our new songs, hopefully a demo should be released at about Easter time.

If you live in the UK you will of known that lately we've been having a lot of lightning storms. On Thursday the power went off at the studio because of it, and we were left sitting around in the dark for about two and a half hours - unlucky.

Last night was our first ever live performance! It was at a private party at Chasetown Football Club. We had positive feedback from the people watching, it's good to think that everyone enjoyed it, especially us, we thought in general it went really well. We'd just like to thank Enthused for letting us borrow their amps, drums etc. and Phil for doing a great job with the PA hire and helping us set-up.

Website update! We've registered our band at PureVolume and we're approved have a look at www.purevolume.com/caughtoffguarduk. Wanna be on the Caught Off Guard mailing list? If ya do then have a look in the contact section. Our first ever gig is getting pretty close, we were in the studio yesterday having a practice trying to get ready for it. Lee's been on holiday for two weeks and Joe's been on work experience so we ain't been playing as much as we'd of liked.

caughtoffguard.co.uk version 2 is here! We're back, we're bigger and we're better than ever! The website has had a lovely new make-over and had some new sections added like gigs, photos and audio. All of the old sections are updated, be sure to check it out and praise webmaster Bean for it all. A new vBulletin forum is up, which means basically it's better than the last one. And that's not all… We've added a discography section where you can listen to that lovely demo I've not shut up about for about the last four months. Also the band has a new line-up! More details on that in the members section.

Caught Off Guard has a gig planned! It'll take place at Avon Hall in Cannock. Even though the band's going through a hard time right now, the gig's not till November so we got time. Oh and yes there's other bands playing there too!
