The 2010 UK Beatbox Championships are coming.  Today we're announcing the registration for the South East heat, taking place on Feb 25th 2010, in London.  More details here.

Entrance tickets to the event will go on sale in two days time on Wed. 23rd Sept, 2009.  Check the website for sales link on the day.

We're currently setting up 3 more regional heats to find our grand finalists - North, Midlands, and South West.  We'll send out news once these are ready to go!

The 2009 Vauxhall UK Beatbox Champs Nottingham heat was the strongest heat of the year, and has produced two serious contenders for the final. Returning Midlands champ THePETEBOX took on Bigg Taj in an incredibly technical battle. It was very close but in the end experience paid off as Petebox took the heat. Congrats to both, and we'll see them in the Grand Final in London on June 20th.

The Bristol heat was once again a showcase of some fine talent from the South West.  With some familiar faces and unknowns alike, and some last minute competitor changes, the battle was on.

The crowd was hyped up and really going for it which gave the competitors something to work with, and the battles were very close.  In the end, the experience of Minamus carried him through to the 1st place spot!

Congrats Minamus, and we'll see both him and Krystal Gob in the Grand Final in London on June 20th.

After a hard series of battles in an unfamiliar club, with an unfamiliar crowd, our competitors battled their way through a very unconventional heat!

The crowd was much different from the usual. Very glam, as per the Lovedough ethos. As such the format was altered so as to work best with the crowd, and the fact we only had 6 competitors show up.

We did the first round as normal, 1 x 1min battle. We then gave best of the first round runners-up a wildcard through to the next round so the semi-final had four competitors as per normal.

Picking the names from a hat, this brought up a first for the UK Champs, namely Equ vs D-wayne in both the first round, and semi-final. A grueling battle! So, when all was said and done, Equ and Boris FX faced off in the final. Equ brought the fire in the first battle, and Boris responded in the second. However, Equ's technical ability won us and the crowd over and he took first place.

Congrats Equ, and we'll see both him and Borix FX in the Grand Final in London on June 20th.
