Thanks soo much for all the support that you have given us over the years! you all kick major ASS!!!
Also: Wake Up Release
Seattle based duo Theory In Motion bring their anticipated full length album "Wake Up" to Systematica records. Using a mixture of pop, electronica, and downtempo breaks, live act Theory In Motion have been described as "a cross between proper UK Nu Skool breaks and the Crystal Method." by DJ Icey. Hybrid claims "Bloody hell, (these) guys are on fire."
American Idol runner-up Blake Lewis (aka B-Shorty) provides a beatboxing intro to the album. From there, it takes off into a fascinating journey of electronica pop. Tracks from the album have already found their way into the mainstream, being heard on the AMC channel and Microsoft's ON10 internet television show.
Here is the full album (17 tracks + 1 bonus track) in mp3 format and the music video for The Perfect Day, directed by The Conner Brothers.
RELEASE DATE: February 19, 2008
FORMAT: Digital (WAV, MP3)
Awhile ago: We finished a project for Cleopatra Records out of LA, (believe it or not) doing lullabies for infants and todlers. Yes, soon your child may be rocking out to the sweet sultry xylophone sounds of TnM.
We finished working on two tracks for Killer Tracks of Universal/BMG for a Rave Compilation CD entitled Rave Party CM068 Tracks: 13, 14, 15. They are rave style techy, trancey, breaky shiz, a little different than what you normally hear from us, but I am sure we will not disappoint.
Also, we did the sound and music design for a promo tv commercial for "Heavens" night club, located in Pioneer Square, Seattle with Foresight Films. See it here: http://foresightfilmsllc.com/Site%202/Heavens.html

We get asked quite a bit what equipment we use to make our stuff. And, we get asked other questions too.....they are at the bottom!Well, for all those interested, here you go: Updated Bio Questions: 1. Artist NameTheory in Motion 2. Hometown
Dillin Quent : Seattle Danny James : Seattle (originally a Chicago native)
3. Style of music Psy-Pop / electronica / breakbeat
4. Describe with emotions how music makes you feel… Dillin Quent: Music makes me feel as if I have at long last found the one place I truly belong. A place where all are welcome to join me, where our individuality creates the soundtrack for each of our lives, where our love for each other spawns the harmonies and melodies in which we live, and where our creativity parallels the unexpected rhythmic beauty contained within the music we listen to. Danny James: My experiences in life have brought me much pain and sadness, as well as true love and happiness. The creation of music is my path to recognizing and expressing all of my emotions. Life is what makes me feel, and music is my outlet. 5. Quote yourself on your music philosophy:
Dillin Quent: Music to me is the first doorway to self realization. A cosmic stepping stone, in which all who truly listen become aware of something greater than one's self, something that defines the human spirit, and by its very nature will expand and touch listeners in ways the composer can only dream of. Danny James: Being an electronic music producer, I have always been very conscious of the qualities that our genre lacks. We work extremely hard to break any stereotypes and all boundaries in hopes of gaining a broader audience. 6. What inspires you, what are your influences?Dillin Quent: I am inspired to write music that not only resonates with electronic music listeners, but that is accessible to everyone who likes good music and has an open mind. I am inspired to be considered in hindsight by the music industry as the band that broke down the barriers and stigmas associated with electronic music, blending elements of Pop, Rock, Classical, and Electronica to create a new hybrid of sound that ensnares listeners from all genres. Danny James: Emotions, beauty, people and art are the driving forces behind my music.
In a very large part, my main influence has been my dad. He has encouraged, advised and inspired me to create and follow my dream of being a professional musician. With regards to music, I've been inspired by The Beatles, BT, The Crystal Method, Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers, Nirvana, The Roots, DJ Shadow, Twista, Do or Die, Biggie and much much more.

Kapsule : The Chase - Kapsule's f*ck shit up mix The is a top notch trip hop / big beat remix of TnM's The Chase. (Dillin Quent's favorite remix so far)
Lars Wannop aka Kapsule began creating electronic music in the summer of 2003 during his high school year. It wasn't until the end of 2004 that his music began to take on a unique flavour and context all of its own. Rising from past influences of punk, heavy rock, hardcore, metal, as well as classical training of the drums, keyboard and xylophone; an appreciation for dynamics was primary in the construction of his sound Built on breakbeat drums with wailing synths and the sheer power and forceful raw-edge of distorted guitars, brought about this engaging blend of 'electrified rock' rarely heard before in electronic music. Now pusuing label sponsership, Kapsule is now seeking establishment in the music industry.http://www.myspace.com/kapsule.

Kid Nexus : Wake Up - Kid Nexus Remix This remix is a progressive nu skool break remix of TnM's Wake Up by who we think is one of the top remix artists on myspace.
A product of the Napster generation, Kid Nexus first began grasping electronic music while 'discovering' it through the file-sharing phenomenon that was occuring while he was a teenager. With his attitude of deconstruction, he quickly jumped into making tracks using computer software, tearing apart songs, cutting and chopping them up into something entirely new. In 2001 he released his first bootleg track. During the next 4 years he would gain a small cult following with the international bootleg/mashup scene, releasing tracks under the names eDJ, DJ11, and Kid Nexus. Many of his tracks began getting airplay on various radio stations across the world, including Indie 103.1 in Los Angeles and stations as far away as Sydney, Australia.
In June of 2005, he finally decided to take the next step and entered the world of djing. Within 2 months of teaching himself how to spin, he landed his first gig. He is looking forward to produce and remix new tracks as well as devour audiences with his unique style of breaks and electro house. http://www.myspace.com/kidnexus

Be on the lookout for major things from this camp before too long. http://www.myspace.com/nerveagentrecordings
Mychosis: Devil's Playground - Mychosis Breakbeat remix This remix is a wicked cool breakbeat remix of TnM's Devil's Playground.
I began making tracks in September of 04. I began djing September 01. My childhood was in many ways defined by music. My mom had a huge collection of vinyl that ranged from 50s Doo Wop to Motown to Led Zeppelin. I distinctly remember her bringing home "Talking Book" by Stevie Wonder and hearing "Superstition" for the first time. This lubricated my ears to vibe with all the soul and funk I heard growing up in a very ethnic neighborhood in East Denver(African American, Latino). I wanted to be a radio jock and had befreinded some of the djs at Denver's AM soul station, KDKO. I hung out at the station, cued records and had a lot of fun discovering new music (One of the jocks turned me on to, of all things,Yes) But soon I realised that as a radio jock I wouldn't be able to curate the music and that the pay was crap. So I went to art school. By this time my musical taste had expanded. Prog rock/ Reggae/ Punk / Dub Ska Goth/Industrial / Alternative Rock/ New Wave / Hip Hop/ And just weird shit All through the late 80s and mid nineties, I did the whole bohemeian art phag thing. Most of the visual art I did was related to music in some way. I moved to Seattle in 1995 in search of greener pastures. At this point I was disenchanted with "alternative" music. I thought that I had maybe reached that point in life where I wasn't going to be turned on by new music. I went back to my roots and rediscovered the 70s soul/funk music of my youth. I was hearing it with a different set of ears. In my first year in Seattle I got turned on to the whole dj/Electronic Dance music thing. (Underworld, Massive Attack, Masters at Work, Roni Size, Jamiriquai, Future Sound of London, Goldie, Ninja Tune, gusgus, Brand New Heavies, Kruder and Dorfmeister, Uziq.) In 2000, I bought a pair of decks and started collecting records. I became interested in UK Nu School Breaks and Sexy House from San Francisco. Then I took the plunge, got a computer and began making music. I am interested in meeting other musically driven souls (Musicians, DJ's, Producers, Promoters, fellow music geeks, Artists of all mediums and just cool peeps in general. http://www.myspace.com/mychoremix

Dj Qwerty : Money - DJ Qwerty Remix This remix is a progressive house remix of TnM's Money. Driving a Tornado - DJ Qwerty Remix This remix is a progressive break remix of TnM's Driving a Tornado.
Aspiring DJ/Producer/Remixer/Artist from Portland, Oregon, DJ Qwerty takes most of his influences from BT, The Crystal Method, The Chemical Brothers, Deep Dish, 80's new wave and disco. After discovering electronic music in 2001 through the game "FreQuency", Qwerty got the bug for making music. Constantly changing musical styles from song to song, it'll soon be hard to pigeonhole him to one specific genre, as his music ranges from progressive house, to break beat, from disco to synthpop. Most of his serious work consists of remixes. He has remixed BT, The Crystal Method, DJ ePH, Theory In Motion, Nine Inch Nails and Bodyrockers. He also has made three mix cds titled "Blender, vol. 1-3" which will be played on Portland's 94.7 fm sometime later this year. The discs include music by BT, The Crystal Method, The Chemical Brothers, Fischerspooner, Imogen Heap, Deep Dish, Gorillaz, Smashing Pumpkins, The Doors, UNKLE, Dylan Rhymes, Manchild, The Killers, Nine Inch Nails, New Order, and original tracks and remixes by DJ Qwerty. Disc 4 is currently in the works, as are two EPs of original music titled "Simple" and "All Funked Up". http://www.myspace.com/djqwerty
