NEWS FLASH...
NYB and Gavron have vanished and the coast guard are still looking for them in a last ditched attempt to find their bodies or possibly alive.
They decided to take a break and go Latin America to get away from media bureaucracy, as things were getting on top for the two international tycoons.
While on a speed boat trip "fishing" they never returned. Friends and family were sad to recieve the news "the Boss had disappeared".
Good friends Noah Brown and Gavin Lawson quote: "those guys had some good times, but life has to goes on, they would have wanted it that way"
To be continued...

Hey Folks,
Just to let you know, in celebration of our album coming out we are DJ-ing through out the night at the Faversham tomorrow playing a wide variety of influences that brought us together as Y.B and helped with the creation of our album. Hip Hop, electro, punk, Crunk, House, techno and funk n soul. This will be a bit of a special one as it's our first gig using serato and ableton, 2 laptops, 2 decks, 2 fx controllers and 2 mics. Yeeeeehhhh it's a musicial mayhem. We are now performing as the "Look Busy Sound System" watch out for further gigs.
We have decided not to do as many "live" sets as we were and moving on to an new all out fun and frolics DJ come live set, with a lot of crowd participation, jagermeister and a right mix up of tunes. We have enjoyed the gigs we have been lucky enough to do but trust us this will be a great new way to see Yes Boss perform. We are all about going out and having fun and fun it will be, many hangovers to come.
If you come to the Fav tomorrow it's £3 to those who want to see Yes Boss just mention it at the door. If you are coming to see the other bands well it's full bloody price. Yes Boss special treatment for one and all.
Also we are off to Sweden on Friday morning and I hate flying, recon it will best to stay up and party till we go to the airport. So if you know of any parties near the Fav tell us about it and we will come and raid your drinks cabnet.
We are gonna change the tracks again and put a few favorites from the album up.
Also thanks to the guys of Baby Jupiter "Leeds" for a mad all day and nighter in their bar, I feel shakey today and don't remember much, hell, it was messy.
Take care
Gavron and Noah
P.S
New DJ mixes coming soon, watch this space.

Current mood:RELIEF!!!!
Hey there!
Thank the Lord, the inevitable has happened. Trying to market a rap-based act (with a song dissing indie kids) TO indie kids was always gonna end up about as popular as selling bagels and chicken soup in a mosque! And though they kinda tolerated us for a while, the public schoolboys and girls at the NME have closed ranks, slewed our album with a 3 out of 10 rating and called us chavs etc etc. You know the deal by now people. have to say, we were waiting for this day to come, and now it has, so we can MOVE ON! Fucking sweet as! We will be taking control of our own shit and no longer worrying about toeing the line and upsetting industry bods. If you're reading this, it's probably quite likely that you like what we're doing, which is good enough for us! Cats in Europe seem to dig it, and understand it too. This ain't so much about music as it is about class prejudice and stereotypes. I don't know if "chavs" are meant to have read the work of William Burroughs, have social science degrees or be qualified computer engineers, for instance, but hey, we're obviously "chavs", so there ya go!
This is good for us. We can break away. We are not The Streets, Jamie T, Just Jack or anyone else. We're two dudes who can do a lot of stuff between us, have wide interests and a lot of possibilities. Fuck being pigeonholed. And fuck pigeonholing YOURSELF to make journos and record company bods' jobs easier. Let us tell you what's happening in our world right now...
- we have a monthly night at the legendary Basics in Leeds, starting on the 17th March. We were gonna be doing the Basics Live nights, DJing inbetween bands, but now we have our own thing, where we can book acts we want to see, and play a massive variety of shit hot music and have a real party! This is a good thing. More info soon.
- we are DJing as the "Look Busy Sound System", with Serato, Ableton, effects and microphones.
- we are in the process of getting together with other creative people we know and drafting a proposal to go out to schools, youth groups and the like, telling the kids how to get into music, the basics of MCing, production, DJing, and video production. We want to try and inspire them and give 'em the confidence to express themselves and maybe make a living doing it too. It ain't about kissing cokehead journalists and promoters arses...it's about giving something back, having some principles and having some fuckin FUN doing it too. More about this as it comes together. If you live in the Leeds, UK area and think you could help us with this, or sound interested, then get in touch, we'd love to hear from ya!
- fingers crossed, we will have a BIG weekly Friday club night in Leeds starting soon. We really really hope this comes off coz it will be amazing.
- we're going to work on a straight up ignorant grimey as fuck mixtape featuring dozens of MCs, called "Threats And Boasts". Nastiness and hardcore all the way, strictly entertainment. If you are gully enough to have your bars feature on this, then, again, GET IN TOUCH!
- I, Noah, was close to throwing in the towel with Yes Boss. The extraneous bullshit was dragging me and G down. Getting 3 out of 10 in the NME was the most liberating thing that could have possibly happened. Fire in the belly is back, big time! This is war! We were never comfortable with this "token rap group" thing...
- we will be collabing with some good people too.
Onwards and upwards! A big thank you to everyone who understands and appreciates what we're doing, or even just WANTS to understand! And a massive thankyou to the NME for slewing us and showing your true colours, and reminding us why we started making music in the first place! (Clue: it wasn't to be able to smoke rocks backstage with Carl Barat, or whatever...)
Fuck 'em! Long live creativity! Long live dissent! THINK FOR YOURSELF, SCHMUCK!!
GAV AND NOAH

How do We just got back from Berlin. Big up to Curt and Annie for looking after us and showing us a good time, and big up to everyone else we met while we were there. It was cold and snowy, the booze was flowing, the Vice party was pretty crazy - don't think a lot of cats knew what to make of us until we told 'em, look, there's about a million bottles of free vodka and two million bottles of lager in the venue, don't just stand there, in the words of Britney Spears, WHY DON'TCHA DO SUNTIN! We gave a no-holds barred fully aggy performance, Gav got on the bar at one point, and we made the Berlin crowd HAVE IT. Other highlights of the weekend were beer and other consumables, and giving many interviews when we got there on Friday, after about 26 hours awake, steadily drinking. It was good to get a chance to do some in-depth interviews, but by the 4th one we were slowly losing it and finding it hard to speak... but we pulled through, y'know? Berlin's shops are sick. Quality clothing emporiums everywhere, the Adidas store in particular got us pretty hot under the collar. Came back, stopped in London for the night in grimy King's Cross hotel, next day went and bought ourselves some new New Eras, sick sick sick, Gav got a classy brown number and Noah got one of them shits with the "dog-ears". Had a little look in the Bape shop too, to see what we're gonna get when we finally get our publishing deal... Oh yeah, and in this other trainer shop they had a pair of the Bape Adidas Shelltoes...a snip at £1200...God Damn... Other items: See It Through is out now on 12" heavyweight vinyl, with the album mix, instrumental and a quality stompy twisted kinda house remix by the boy Jam Sponge. You can buy it HERE (by clicking on the "HERE", obviously). There's also a European promo of this that will be doing the rounds, with the Velten Meyer remix on it. Keep an eye out for that, that will be a rare one. Anyone waiting for T-shirts or mixtapes, a thousand apologies, we had to get some more done, they WILL be with you soon. BIG T'INGS...Tongues In Knots has been playlisted on the A-list of Radio Stockholm, alongside the likes of Robbie Williams and the Kaiser Chiefs. Razorlight and U2 are on the B-list. We shit you not. We'll see you soon Sweden! Podcasts will be up soon, sorry we've been a bit long with this. ALSO...we'll be sending out another shameless ad soon, but in the meantime, you can get Look Busy on CD for £6.99 delivered, HERE . ...And on heavyweight vinyl for £13 delivered, HERE . Remember, copies of More Or Less are still available too (from the HMV site above) Oh yeah, nearly forgot, we're doing a low key album launch party in the conservatory at The Faversham, Leeds, UK, on the 15th Feb. We'll tell you more later... Props to ya, YESSSSSSS BOSSSSSSSS

...mint. If you live in Berlin get yourself down, at these Vice parties it's all free booze and that.
Apologies but we got a bit of technical difficulties, no podcasts up till we're back from Germany probably. We're both having a few days off doing the family thing anyway. What are you gonna do about it? We are a cottage industry like we were painting miniature Liliput Lane houses on pricework BIYATCH so we need a break! shit is real out here. We will then both be meeting up in STANSTED, STANDARD.
Wiley has retired from MCing today apparently. He seems pretty genuine about it in interview. Bloody hell eh. BUT the 22nd of January is officially the most depressing day of the year ya know, so they say.
props

Evening
Hope you're well, just letting ya know a couple of things, will write a decent blog when feeling a bit 'sharper' eh...
We did an interview for Up Magazine online shenanigans yesterday, haven't got a link yet, might not be up there yet but will holler when it is. We also did an interview for Leeds Guide today that went well, that'll be in near the end of Feb.
...errr..ahh yes that was it, we recorded our first podcast a couple of days ago. We've just gotta get it sounding nice and we'll whack it up so you can rock it through iTunes. Will probably stick it up on Filefront or something as well. We're gonna be doing these regular. The first bit is individual tunes and us two having a crack about tunes and that, and the last hour is a full on DJ mix. Tunes by Justice, DJ Deeon, Celtic Frost, Nitzer Ebb, Nasty Crew, Fearless Iranians From Hell, Sebastian, Sway and kinds of shit. We will alert you when this is up and then just keep firing 'em up there on the regs.
More soon, take it easy

Easy all
We haven't died, we're still here dammit! Hope you all had a good Christmas, New Year, all that shit. Haven't blogged owt for a while so thought we'd give you an update.
There's an interview with us here:
http://www.recordstore.co.uk/home.jsp?SearchField=CATEGORY&Search=yesboss
It's a good interview, very niiiice. Can you spot the couple of bits we put in there which may not be strictly true? Get in touch with the answer and we might send you something. Also we have just been interviewed for Dazed & Confused magazine which should be in the issue available at the end of Jan, ready for the album...the album which is AVAILABLE ON FEB 5TH FROM ALL GOOD RECORD SHOPS AND ITUNES AND ALL THAT...
Christmas time: Noah was heavily on the booze, Gavron had a break from the booze. We chilled, blew out the cobwebs of the mind etc, and it was good. Gav is looking pretty healthy and Noah has put on a bit of timber over the festive period, has a new big-ass tattoo on his arm, plus his hair is big now. Try calling him a chav with big hair...it doesn't work, does it? ha!
We played a good drunken set at Cardinal Sins in Harrogate on the 29th. The night is called Neon Fist, ran by DJ Trev, who's a good sort. The crowd up there were crazy animals, with airhorns and everything. Music policy was varied but tended towards HARD, like gabba style stuff. Some guy kept grabbing Noah's arm and trying to say something to him whilst performing. Not sure what he wanted, strange biz. Also, some lad wearing a dust mask and sort of rave clothing, with his eyes and jaw rolling all over the place, blatant as fuck. Next thing you know poor lad has been marched into the backstage bit by the bouncers and had his shit took off him. He was chewing his own face off, not surprising really.
New Years Eve at Basics in Leeds...a big night. Noah and Gav commandeered the decks all night in the Live Room (with a little help from Stu and Craig from The Sunshine Underground, cheers lads) and did a wee live set. It was a scorcher sho'nuff! Also playing were The Eclectic Electric, a geetar band who did a great cover of "You've Got The Love" by The Source ft Candi Staton, and Speculum, live breaks/techno outfit who tore the shit out of the place, very good, watch out for them!
Yes Boss DJ shenanigans went very well, playing all across the board, from Frankie Knuckles to Donae'o to Quadrophonia to Justice to Jesus Christ Superstar to Sebastian to Edgar Winter Group to God knows what else...and we took it easy on 'em too! We are pleased to report that we will be gracing the decks there on a regular basis as the new resident DJs. Get in! Cheers to Dave and Emma. We'll be DJing a LOT over the coming months, it's the future. So, if you want to book us or send us any tunes, get in touch!
If anyone's waiting for T-shirts, sorry for the delay, you'll get 'em over the next few days. They're still available so snap 'em up while you can.
ALSO...was just fannying about earlier and discovered that you can buy our tracks on your 3 network mobile. We didn't even know about this...it's big! I'm assuming our stuff's available on other networks too, so if you've got a new phone for Christmas how about downloading some Yes Boss tracks to whet your appetite for THE ALBUM "LOOK BUSY" WHICH IS OUT ON FEB 5TH ON DANCE TO THE RADIO RECORDS...
More dates announced soon...
take care,
Noah & Gav

Current mood:Cheese and onion
Hey there y'all
Just got back from Paris, our first Euro jaunt, and it was an absolute blinder. Thanks to Thomas, DJ Subrider and everyone else who looked after us and made us feel welcome. The gig was a stormer, we opened up for the UK's Just Jack and Teki Latex (from TTC, one of the biggest French hip hop crews). Nice industrial-style venue too. It's a different world out there, it really is. Hip hop and dance music is king, everywhere you look there's posters for French rappers and crews, turn on the TV and it's hip hop everywhere. Should be the first of many trips out there, live shows and DJ sets.
Talking of which, think we're gonna postpone that Milo's do till the 21st so we have a little more time and it doesn't clash coz there's a couple of other things on that night. We'll get it sorted today and let you know, naturellement.
Fired up ready for Huddersfield show tonight, we'll see what that brings. We're playing with a bunch of rabble called International Trust amongst other people. We're gonna be tooled up and ready for war! Don't make us kill again!
aaaaaand...the interview with us two is in legendary British gentleman's journal Knave this month. You now have a legitimate excuse to buy filth. The cover features a brunette lass called Evelyn wearing a yellow bra, and we're on page 97. If we say so ourselves, it's a fuckin funny interview. We're chuffed. Big up Matt the assistant editor! He's gonna sort out a photo shoot with us and some models in the New Year...hahaaaaaaa!
Anyway, speak to you lot later. Take it easy!
