Ain't that some classic shit?...

Our trailer was stolen on NOVEMBER 5th in the Hurst/North Richland Hills, TX area.

Fortunately, none of our equipment was inside. However, this is still a rather substantial setback to our plans for touring, merch, and the full-length record.

Now is the time where we need your love and support more than ever!.... For those of you that are gracious enough, we would greatly appreciate a contribution of any amount to our cause. Help us continue to create music and produce Lizard Professor merchandise so that we can get on the road and bring the noise to you in your hometown!

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP! TIME WILL MEND OUR LOSS, AND WE SHALL CONTINUE!..

Your friends,

Lizard Professo

Offthewallogy is undoubtedly our heaviest track thus far, and with good reason. Paying respects to a number of new original heavy metal artists and their signature sounds, as well as a cluster of older miscellaneous influences. Yet again, we were very limited on time and funds for the recording process, but the overall quality of the track definitely does the material justice more so than our previous demo. To us, this song is a proclamation of our experience as a band, and states our irritation with the blithe obliviousness of young people, namely self-entitled “artists” worldwide.....

As we stated in the previous blog:....

“ - this album (Eccentricity) is about thinking outside of the box, or “off the wall”. We choose not to limit ourselves to any particular genre, because frankly we enjoy them all.

Our way of life, our style of writing, and our personalities are fueled by the inspiration we gather from our influences. Offthewallogy is an expression of our frustration with the fact that where we strive to interpret and make our own, many others merely copy.”....

Of course, what this song means to us is irrelevant to (you) the listener. Decide for yourself what it means to you personally, and apply it to your own experience and/or frustrations.....

With all of this in mind, we ask that you relax, find your zone, and let the song take you over. Listen hard, listen well, and above all, please let us know what you think!....

Until we meet again!....

Your friends, hard at work,....

We mentioned once before that we were in the process of writing a conceptual album pertaining to the vastness of space, but be well reminded that that is not in an entirely literal sense. The album “Eccentricity” is indeed intended to enthrall the senses and portray a very atmospheric tone, a “spacey” element if you will. But the underlying truth is that this album is a metaphorical display of unadulterated emotional expression that is and always will be the beginning foundation of that which is Lizard Professor.

This chapter of our group’s existence, to us, is about finding oneself, about understanding and acknowledgement of our surroundings, in this case, the local scene of music and the way of life which has become ever increasingly redundant, pathetic, and superficial. Young people delve head first into the act of local music for the sake of social status and hopes for developing a reputation. Let it be known that we could care less, and that our prowess withholds more meaning to ourselves than many of you could ever know.

To put things simply, this album is about thinking outside of the box, or “off the wall”. We choose not to limit ourselves to any particular genre, because frankly we enjoy them all. There is an unending list of precursors that have and continue to inspire us every day. Our way of life, our style of writing, and our personalities are fueled by the inspiration we gather from our influences. These songs are an expression of our frustration with the fact that where we strive to interpret and make our own, many others merely copy.

Soon, nine tracks will come together to form the full-length album, “Eccentricity”, which we cherish as our legacy. We can only hope that we inspire many people to hear us with an open mind, an open heart, and open ears. Realize that our influences run much deeper than some of you may feel them to be.

More details will unfold as time moves on, but know that we are still here and we want you to join us in this musical roller-coaster ride that is LIZARD PROFESSOR!

We dare you to explore your boundaries; don’t get caught up in the typical, tasteless, run of the mill scene. Don’t let promoters or individuals that lack substance deter you from your goals. Don’t settle for what’s popular or what you think people prefer, do what you want and please yourself, and above all, be your own person and express yourself accordingly.

Thank you all for your support and patience, thank you for every show, every payment, every helping hand. We greatly appreciate it, and we hope to bring you even greater thanks!

 CHEERS!

The time has come for us to cover new and/or old territory. We're looking for some good suggestions from our fans to help us decide!

Think hard, think long, and keep all eras of music in mind.

Cheers,

Equations Of Dismay was not only our first full song to complete as a group, but was a main contributing factor that lead toward the naming of the band. Although, technicality and heaviness are not in short supply, trust us when we say that this is only our first track from the very first demo, and barely shaves the tip of the iceberg that is Lizard Professor.

This first draft of the Equations Demo is pleasing to us, definitely. But we will never be fully satisfied, and from a professional musician perspective, we all still have much improvement to accomplish. These songs, and others will be re-drafted and improved in the near future for your listening pleasure.

Until then, we ask that you listen with open ears and an open mind, an join us in our journey to strive for perfection.

Thank You All
